My sickness is killing me

(Xyrus academy)

It was a new day and everything was back to normal…for some people that is.

A lot of people were caught in the fight between Madara and Uto which resulted to their deaths. It was a sorrow day filled with tears and sadness.

On the academy side, the students were given permissions to go to their families and see if they survived the last night fight, and they were given a one-week break.

"I haven't seen Arthur since last night, I wonder where he went?" Said Elijah, who was standing outside the dorm building with two luggage beside him.

One was his and the other one was Arthur's.

Currently, he was among the few students who haven't left the academy yet, and as for why he was standing there, it's because he was hoping for Arthur to return.

"Hmm, maybe he went home last night. I mean, he doesn't always tell me everything"

Giving himself hope that Arthur might be in the Helstea mansion. Elijah picked up his things and started heading towards the direction of the Academy gates.

As Elijah was deep in his thoughts, Various light started shining all over the academy. This caught a lot of attention from the professors and the few students who saw the weird phenomena.

Even Elijah had to halt and looked at the bright light that was shining in front of him.

"Is that light coming from inside the tree?" Said Elijah as he looked at the tree in front of him, then looked at the direction of where the other light were shining.

If someone were to take a look of the academy from above, they would notice that those lights were shining in a formation.

They were surrounding the academy in a shape of a snowflake.

'Weird, I can feel mana being gathering inside that tree ' Thought Elijah as he walked towards the tree to take a better look at it.

As he got closer to the tree, he saw something printed on the tree bark, which was the source of the shining light.

"What's this?" Said Elijah as he stretched his hand towards the shining rune .

"DON'T TOUCH THAT!!!" Someone shouted from behind Elijah, but it was too late. Elijah's hand had already touched the rune before he could even turn to look at the person who shouted.

Elijah's body was suddenly covered by the light before disappeared from the Academy ground.

The moment Elijah was teleported. The lights all over the school shone more brightly then dimmed down.

*Booommm*

The next second the lights shone again, it shone with an explosion that leveled everything that was in its range.

"Cough…cough…cough. Thanks God I managed to react in time" Said Professor Glory as she destroyed the massive earth wall that was surrounding her.

If she didn't conjure the Earth wall in time, then by now she would have only been nothing but skeletons.

'Wait! What about that boy? Was he teleported?' Thought Professor Glory as she looked at the place where Elijah was a minute ago.

What welcome her was nothing but a wasteland. The whole academy was reduced to nothing but pieces.

From afar, She saw a group of students and Professors who were surrounded by a yellow barrier that have protected them from the explosion.

Seeing that, she let out a sigh of relief, but her joy didn't last long.

Right beside here was a skeleton.

"Shit! It seems like the other students didn't make it…just what is happening to this city?"

(Back to the beast glades)

"The level of his spells is beyond my imagination, just how??" Said Aya who was looking at the scene in front of her.

The screams of the Alacrya soldiers and mana beasts were all over the air as they burn to death.

'If killed them all then we won't get any information ' thought Varay while looking at Madara who was about to kill Jagrette.

She swiftly waved her hand and created an ice wave that was supposed to stop Madara from killing Jagrette, but before the ice could reach Madara, Jagrette was stabbed right in her heart and dropped dead.

"Huh? What do you think you're doing?" Said Madara while looking at the incoming ice that was only meters away from reaching him.

"I wanted to help you, but it seems like you didn't need my help" Said Varay as she canceled her ice.

"That's not what you were going to do, are you really that afraid of him, Varay?" Whispered Bairon.

"Y-Yes" Muttered Varay as she crunched her fists.

Madara looked at the two people for a second before ignoring them and started looking around.

'These soldiers were just pawns, what are you planning you snake? I'm sure he already knows about my me, so why is he making small moves?' Thought Madara as he took Jagrette's blood and store it inside a test tube for later use.

"We are done here, let's leave" Said Madara as he started flying away.

"Aren't we going to search this whole area to make sure there are no more of them?" Asked Aya.

"No one here other than us, now let's go I got things that I need to do"

(AN: Guys, I'm sick and I mean it. My condition is not good at all, I've never been this sick in my entire life. Even Covid wasn't like this.

5 day, give me five days to heal myself.

If I don't post anything in those five days then know that I'm on the hospital bed or Dead.
