Bones The Exile
Lex took a step back hitting the wall as he did, 'This is not good. This is NOT good!' He thought to himself as he gulped down dry saliva.
The Skeleton, rather, Bones emerged slowly from he eerie void-like darkness.
Bones' skull was now visible his ashen coloured bones were inscribed with all sorts of dark patters that were visible from the light produced by the now glowing geometric patterns.
Lex watched as Bones' Greatsword reflected light into his eyes for a moment before revealing itself too.
Similar to his skull his sword as also inscribed with something that he couldn't read.
'Hopefully, it's not the names of people he's killed otherwise I might end up on there.' Lex thought with a worried expression.
Lex glanced towards the greatsword once more, it was an extremely wide greatsword, so much so that Lex was impressed Bones could carry it on his shoulder.
'Greatsword wielder, that should slow him down by quite a bit, not to mention his armour.' Lex thought as he assessed Bones
His armour wasn't quite as impressive as Bones' and that did worry him quite a bit.
Bones' armour was rather flashy, he had large shoulder pads and a proud chest piece that boldly stood out.
Bones walked towards Lex, lowering his greatsword almost cutting through the ground as if it were butter.
"You are not the King." Bones announced as he stood tall in front of the petrified Lex before lifting his sword high in the air.
Lex watched as the sword flew up towards the air before him.
"YOU. ARE. NOT. THE. KING." Bones yelled deep into Lex's soul as he swung his greatsword in a fashion that would have split Lex into two.
Bones looked at the crater he created in the wall and floor, after a few seconds he was unable to find any hint of red.
Lex looked towards the death he narrowly avoided.
'I barely managed to get out there!!!' Lex thought as he felt his heard going into overdrive.
"HEY! Why don't you use that crazy strong power of yours to help me get out of this place!!" Lex yelled towards bones whilst frantically waving his hands towards the almost broken open exit.
Bones stopped in his tracks resembling a statue.
"You, are a fool. A coward, and a fool." Bones muttered before saying "YOU. ARE. NOT. WORTHY. TO. BE. KING."
Bones' whole body was quickly covered in a prominent red aura turning his ashen colour and the air around him red.
'HE ENRAGED!?' Lex thought with panic as his eyes widened.
His goal was to get Bones angry so that he could get an accurate read on how powerful he was, however, he didn't expect Bones to have the enrage skill.
The enrage skill was very rare amongst monsters, yet amongst players, the skill was only learnt by those who chose the berserker class, although not many managed to learn it.
For players, the skill was called "Berserk" and had the same effect. When the skill was activated is caused the user's stats to double for five minutes.
The skill did not double stats gained from armour, and once the 5 minutes were up your stats were halved for the next 24 hours.
Due to the massive drawback, the skill had not many people thought it was pointless as you'd have to sacrifice a day worth of levelling and quests.
Lex's class in the game was Berserker. He was very loyal to the class, there were moments where he considered changing to a mage or another class but he never had the talent for it.
In fact, he was so popular he was nicknamed "The God Of War" by players in the game.
He was given this nickname due to his ability to fight anything and anyone, Lex dominated PvP and PvE combat in the game.
Even though he was the sixth-best player in the game he reigned supreme in combat. The top five players didn't even talk to him nor anyone from his knowledge.
Lex needed to focus on the battle in front of him if he wanted to survive.
Lex took a deep breath in feeling his chest about to burst from the amount of air within.
He let his breath out slowly keeping his eyes fixed towards Bones.
'Bring it on.' Lex thought as he saw Bones sprinting towards his whilst swinging his large greatsword at Lex's neck.
