Deep Sleep

After a long tiring day.

There was Ferron, tired and thinking how will he able to get some rest with no money left.

That is why he decide to ask people for some spare coins. After hours of begging he was able to save some money, but... it was not enough.

he decided to spend the night in a dark alley, like he usually do, with his eyes feel like its about to fall, he started walking towards the alley without any hesitations at all.

...

Several minutes had passed since he entered the alley,

*Bang!*

A loud bang echoed throughtout the whole vicinity, the birds startled, as soon as he heard it he suddenly dash to where the sound came from.

*Bang!*

Then a second bang filled the air with tensions.

he suddenly stop, "What am I doing, should I stop?" he ask himself.

Curiosity drives him to continue.

After few steps away, he can finally see, what's happening. While he was catching his breath, he saw a man about 185 cm tall in a dark suit holding a black leather briefcase running away.

Just as he step, he slips from all the blood that was in the ground.

The blood came from the the girl who was shot twice right in her temple, it might be the man Ferron saw who shot her.

"Disgusting" he says.

And...

Because Ferron was so tired, he fell and covered by the blood.

Soon the police came rushing into the scene; you can hear the sirens wailing at the distance. Unfortunately he does not have an energy to make an escape.

The police arrived at the scene with Ferron sleeping beside the lifeless body of the girl covered on blood.

The guy that Ferron saw seems to have taken the form of a bat, and was watching them from the above.

Few Nights had passed.

...

[7:59 am] Finally the police was done with the interrogation. Ferron, explained what really happened that night and why he was there at the scene with the victim, gladly the police were nice to him and after believing what he said, the police released him and was able to avoid being apprehended. The police were so nice that they gave him a breakfast and even a new pair of shoes and clothes to change the old dirty ones.

[1:03 pm] On his way home Ferron stumbled upon a guy that looks like the one he saw on that night, "That guy is familiar" he thought, but the guy was 10 cm shorter from the guy that he saw. He was anxious.

[2:00 pm] He got off from the bus, then he bumped into a man wearing a dark suit, he run without a second thought, after a while he stopped, that's when he realize he mistaken that man for someone else,

[2:45 pm] Just a few miles away from his home, when someone attacked him with a sharp blade, he was surprised and couldn't react, he got stabbed twice in the back, he caught the attacker, he hold the hands of the attacker tightly, that way the attacker can't escape.

Saw what's happening, a teenager girl cautiously approach the attacker, then she got close enough to kick the attacker on the face, with one full swing on the face the attacker, knocked out, they immediately helps Ferron who was lying on the ground with bathing with his own blood.

...

The help arrives, with the police following...

The police apprehend the attacker, while the paramedic put Ferron on the stretcher and was put in the ambulance, the girl who saved him, stayed with him in the ambulance.

𐌓 Kiesha ( The girl who saved Ferron )

[2:40 pm earlier that day]

Kiesha is on her way to meet a friend, she skipped her taekwondo's lessons that time just for that reason, she was a yellow belter, it was nothing great, but she should be able to defend herself. That's when she saw Ferron got stabbed,

her body moves on its own, just when the attacker got knocked out that she realize that she must help him, she was very surprised to what she did, then she decides to stay with Ferron to protect him or incase he needs an assistance.

"T-Thank You.." Ferron whispered, before he passed out.

Then she remember meeting her friend.

"Don't worry he will be fine, he just need to rest for 3 days to regain his strength" the doctor explains to Kiesha

Thus Ferron will be able to sleep for 3 days straight without worrying anything

Almost 5 days had passed since the accident and Ferron is still not waking up,

Ferron was dreaming with a bat, but it was dark all he could see was the silhouette of the bat.

he ask the bat,

"What are you, Where am I",

then he laugh,

"What am I thinking, as if bats could talk"

he said

"I am what you think I am"

the bat replied,

"B-Bat couldn't talk, r-right.." Ferron says in surprise when the bat replied

"m-maybe it w-was a d-demon" his anxiety grew stronger.

The man shows his true form,

"I know you" Ferron shouts

"Yes.." the man replied

"For I have been inside of you"

the man added

"W-What do you mean?" Ferron puzzledly asks

"You will know it soon" the man replied as he was faiding away

"You... and Me... We are one" a thought pops on Ferron's head

Kiesha fall asleep while waiting for Ferron to wake up

Ferron woke up

He's bothered by his dreams, and is not paying attention to his surrounding. A truck was heading to his way quickly, he saw it coming but he could not do a thing, he just froze there standing.

The truck went past at him, he doesn't get hurt, even a tiny scratch is nothing to be found, he was safe and sound,

"That is weird, I thought I was gonna die" he thinks with a somewhat happy and scared face.

For a second time, he woke up again,

Kiesha greet Ferron as she guide him to eat something.

Considering about what the man told him, Ferron begans to think, what he really is, where he came from and what his goal is. It might give a clue about that mystery man he once saw.

Ferron was a secret agent working on a very important mission, but since he had failed the mission, he was dismissed from his job, when his wife know about this, they got into fight that lead to separation. Without a work Ferron can not pay his rents. His parents died after a car accident. Ferron lost everything, even his wife takes their children with her.

With the very little money he left for his own he managed to find an apartment to stay, he always travel to ask people for coins, he usually sleep in the alleys if he can't go to his home.

He promised himself that one day, everything will be okay, he believed that magic and super powers are true, even if other people may deny it he won't, because that's what he believes.

"So my goal was to change the world, and bring back my happiness,"...

"But how can I do it if I don't have any power?"

he thinks with despair.

He finally finished eating, while heading to an exit, Kiesha waved goodbye to Ferron,

Kiesha falls onto a sharp object which facing upward from the ground, when she landed her foot at a wrong angle.

Kiesha was pierced to death.

Ferron couldn't believe what he was just witnessed, still couldn't believe he shouted "NO!!" while crying. and in shock.

Then once again, Ferron woke up, it was all a dream, except Kiesha was gone entirely, she was gone from his memories. In fact no one knows who is Kiesha is Ferron, it's like she didn't exist at all.

"It's like a dream from a deep sleep which after you wake up you'll eventually forget about it."...

"Trying your best; your very best to remember atleast one scene or one name, which may not happen, after you've awaken from your deep slumber."...

"It was a scary thing to experience, because you didn't know why are you feeling that way when you woke up and couldn't even remember a thing that has happened when you're in your dream where you can control anything, command

everyone, make something that isn't ordinary"
