Lucia’s hold on my arm tighten as she giggle and lay her head on my shoulder, burying her face inside my hair. I look towards the window, where the bright stars twinkle amidst the dark sky. I then return my gaze towards Lucia, who’s happily humming as she tangle her fingers through the mess that is my hair. I was then reminded of the terrible fate that awaits us.
Lucia was going to die.
