Path to Hateno

Leaving the Lakna Rokee shrine we met Dorian outside with the Yiga member tied up. We brought him into the village.

"We found him snooping around the village" (Dorian)

The villagers were scattered around, when we came with the Yiga Blademaster they swarmed around us.

'A Yiga!'

'How did he find us?'

A roar of confusion and anxiety sprawled throughout the villagers, Impa calmed them down.

"Everyone please try to stay calm. Where did you 3 find him?" (Impa)

"Near the Ancient Sheikah Circle, he's also the one who stole the Orb" (Dorian)

"Where is the Orb?" (Impa)

"Link used it to open the shrine" (Dorian)

Impa looked at me for confirmation.

I nodded.

"As long as it helps Link, then the loss of the Orb isn't significant" (Impa)

"What shall we do with him" (Random Villager)

'Kill him'

'Rid of the evil'

Impa looked at Dorian.

"What do you think we should do?" (Impa)

"What do you mean?" (Dorian)

"You know what I mean, do you think he could live among us?" (Impa)

"Absolutely not, he tried to steal from you not to mention he's from the Yiga Clan" (Dorian)

"He snuck into the village, yet no one was killed. Why is that?" (Impa)

Impa makes a good point, why didn't he kill anyone. He snuck into Impa's house, he could've killed her and Paya, yet he only stole the Orb. He also stayed around until Dorian and him were alone.

"Join you, don't make me sick. I'm not like Dorian, I would never betray my clan" (Yiga Blademaster)

The crowd once again whispered among themselves.

'What did he mean by, I'm not like Dorian'

'Live amongst us!'

'Lady Impa, please, it's a Yiga'

It is a stretch to allow him to live amongst the villagers. Dorian was once part of the Yiga Clan but he revolted and ran from them. Unless something tragic happened to this person, I doubt he'll want to live in this village.

"Did you join the Yiga Clan of your own free will?" (Impa)

She looked at the Yiga.

It took a second before he answered.

"I did" (Yiga Blademaster)

He didn't sound confident.

"My family was killed by the Yiga, in order to exact my revenge I decided to rise up in their ranks and kill their leader, Master Kohga. It has been 15 years since that day and my hatred still grows" (Yiga Blademaster)

Dorian had a different look on his face, earlier he was stern now he seemed to sympathize with the Yiga Blademaster.

"Is that why you didn't kill anyone? You have no reason to kill us, you just needed to steal the Orb" (Impa)

He looked away.

Dorian kneeled beside him.

"My wife was taken away by the Yigas, after running away from them with my 2 children I had nowhere to go. Lady Impa took me in, if you follow our rules we will allow you to stay as well. This village is wonderful, unlike the Yiga Clan everyone here treats each other with respect, you may even start a family" (Dorian)

Dorian stood up and announced to the whole village.

"Attention everyone, I have a confession to make" (Dorian)

Everyone went silent, he inhaled.

"I was once a member of the Yiga Clan, I had thought they were chivalrous thieves stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. I was wrong to think so" (Dorian)

He looked down for a moment, then he stood with his chest out striking more confidence.

"On one faithful day, I met my wife. You all knew her, she was beautiful, kind-hearted, and very talented at cooking. I would look forward to eating her meals every day, she worked hard at her restaurant in Highland City. Every rupee she made, she would donate to the less fortunate. She changed the way I saw the world, the way I saw the Yigas" (Dorian)

He started smiling.

"Those were happy times, whenever I had free time I would help her feed and clothe the poor. I enjoyed every second with her, and so did she. We got married a year after we first met and had 2 lovely daughters" (Dorian)

Dorian's eyes began to tear up, he began to breathe harder.

"One day the Yiga Clan found out about our marriage and killed her, leaving our 2 children motherless. Before her death, I was lingering whether or not I should leave the clan, that final act made my choice. I saw their wicked ways and left with my daughters. I ran in fear, as I didn't have many places to go. I came here, the home of my wife. Impa offered me shelter and meaning, a future for my daughters. I know what it's like to lose everything you once loved to the Yigas, the dread and pain changes a person. If this man betrays this village you may kill us both" (Dorian)

The villagers discussed this new information.

'Dorian was once part of the Yiga?'

'Can we trust Dorian?'

'Did Dorian lead the Yiga to our location?'

The villagers were in dis

Impa had enough of the chatter.

"Dorian has protected the gates for years now, he offers himself for the better of this village. If Dorian believes that this Yiga can join us, then let him. If my terms aren't agreeable, you may banish me for inviting Dorian into this village" (Impa)

'She's right, Dorian always helps us'

'Koko's cooking is too good to lose'

'Dorian has always been there for us, let us be here for him'

Impa looked at the former Yiga members.

"The village says you should stay, what about you?" (Impa)

She looked at the Blademaster.

"Living here will not bring the demise of Master Kohga. Kill me if you wish, at least I'll be united with my family" (Yiga Blademaster)

Dorian looked at me and pointed.

"That right there is the Hero Link, our savior. He will rid the world of Ganon and the Yigas, bringing peace to Hyrule" (Dorian)

The Blademaster looked at me like some sort of mystical creature.

"Are you truly the Hylian Champion?" (Yiga Blademaster)

This guy doesn't trust others so easily.

"I am" (Link)

"Do you see that strange object on his waist, only the Hylian Champion is able to wield that. Show him Link" (Impa)

I used Remote Bomb and showed it to the Blademaster. I doubt anyone else can do what I just did.

His eyes widened and so did most of the villagers.

"Will you bring peace to Hyrule?" (Yiga Blademaster)

"I will" (Link)

The Blademaster exhaled deeply.

"I heard tales of the Champions from my family, they were strong and valiant. Seeing the Hylian Champion right before me, I have nothing to worry about. I will accept your offer Lady Impa, please allow me to live amongst you" (Yiga Blademaster)

Shronia is to my right.

"We leave for Hateno tomorrow" (Link)

"I understand" (Shronia)

After the commotion stirred down everyone went home. The Blademaster went with Dorian for the night.

The next morning I told Impa I'm leaving.

"It is about time. Save the princess, you are her only hope" (Impa)

Before leaving I prayed at the shrine again since I had enough spirit orbs. I increased my health.

I now have 20 health.

After praying I went to Shronia's house, she is ready to go.

"Bye mom, bye dad! I'll see you after we defeat Ganon" (Shronia)

"Our little angel is leaving us again" (Rianu)

Shronia's father began weeping.

"Come here, one final hug before you go" (Alical)

They hugged for a good minute.

We retrieved our horses, they were being taken care of by the village hostler.

He cleaned, fed, and gave them plenty of rest.

As we trouted down the dark tunnel villagers started shouting goodbyes

'Bye, save us from Ganon'

'Shronia, come back soon'

"Bye everyone" (Shronia)

The Yiga Blademaster revealed his face this morning.

His name is Biopar, he is a middle-aged man with streaks of white hair. I hope he will find this village comfortable.

I turned to Shronia.

"You ready?" (Link)

We started the path to Hateno.
