Overindulgence

First thing in the morning we returned the rented wagon to the company. After that we got our horses and went into an alleyway, from there I teleported everyone with me to Kakariko Village.

There was a commotion in the village when we arrived. Looking down, it seems a celebrity came as everyone is surrounding them.

'Jroid is back!'

'How were your travels'

'Looking handsome as always'

'My harvest of tough pumpkins are ready'

It's Jroid, what a surprise. He's friendly as always, his smile makes you feel relaxed.

"Where are you going? Let's go say hi to Jroid, I didn't get to introduce myself properly last time" (Shronia)

"It's a little crowded, let's give our horses to the hostler first then we'll come to say hi" (Link)

The village holster is absent, probably with the crowd. We tied our horses to a nearby tree and joined in the fun.

The attention shifted to us when we got closer.

'Link and Shronia are back!'

Everyone started welcoming us, Jroid walked through to us.

"Link, I knew there was always something special about you. I'd never guess that you'd be the Hero. You're the Sheikah from Outskirt, you never properly introduce yourself" (Jroid)

"My name is Shronia, I'm very thankful for the help you give to my village" (Shronia)

"I should be thanking you, this village produces one of a kind products" (Jroid)

"What brings you here?" (Link)

"Several reasons, I was just in the Faron region where I happened to acquire these products" (Jroid)

He led us to his wagon, covered under a tarp are crates of Hearty Durians.

"Routinely I drop a few crates here and then someone accompanies me to Zora's Domain to sell the rest along with a wagon of Kakariko products" (Jroid)

As expected of Jroid, doing business as usual.

"By the way, there's some kind of new resort near Lake Kolomo. Beautiful place, the workers that were once residents said the lake polluted one day forcing many to leave the village. Then a handsome blonde Hylian male with a ponytail and a wealthy Hylian girl wearing a strange attire gave them money and a great idea. I wonder who they could've been?" (Jroid)

He said that sarcastically as he jokingly punched me softly.

If Jroid thinks highly of the resort it must be doing well. We should check it out.

"Jroid!" (Ossio)

Ossio came from behind us.

"Ossio!" (Jroid)

They did some weird handshake before hugging off.

"Ready for our adventure up north?" (Jroid)

"Been ready, Nashi and Biopar are accompanying us this time" (Ossio)

"Biopar?" (Jroid)

"New addition to the village, you'll like him, great guy" (Ossio)

As everyone was greeting each other I grabbed Shronia and we silently walked out of the crowd.

"Let's check out the resort that you invested in" (Link)

"I've been wondering how's it been doing this whole time" (Shronia)

It's settled then, we're taking a small vacation.

Teleporting to the Oman Au shrine, I used the scope feature to look over the Great Plateau. Sure enough, the lake is still glowing. With Shronia on my back, we glided down towards the resort.

The once muddy path has become a stone road fashioned with street lanterns. Every few minutes a carriage would pass us either coming from or going to the resort.

The place is booming with business, as you enter the town you can see people on the shore enjoying a nice relaxing drink while tanning in the sun. The waves of glowing water attract any from afar.

The main street is filled with all sorts of recreational plazas, food stalls, souvenir shops, just to name a few. I bought kabobs for us, as we ate and enjoyed the food we came across a familiar face.

It's the mayor, she's relaxing on a lounge chair like all the other tourists.

"Hello, business seems to be doing well" (Link)

"It's the girl who wears weird clothin. And you brought a friend" (Mayor)

I revealed my face.

"Why if it ain't Link wearin some of Shronia's clothin. Ya'll got married, congratulations" (Mayor)

"No, I just thought she looked cool wearing this" (Link)

"Not married yet, that's fine, we can do it here on this lovely resort" (Mayor)

"Hello again mayor" (Shronia)

Shronia went in for a hug, the mayor pulled away.

"Don't touch mah, who knows what sorta illness you have" (Mayor)

It can't be seen on Shronia's face but she is a little sad the mayor pulled away from her.

"Oh alright, just this one time" (Mayor)

The mayor allowed Shronia to hug her.

"Anyways, how ya liking the place. Peaceful and relaxing ain't it" (Mayor)

"Very nice, but where did you get all these workers? I doubt the village had that many residents" (Link)

"When we went to Outskirt to buy materials we met another village, think it was called Digdogg village or something. Well, their village got a little banged up from sum Hinox, so I offered them to work for me. Been working out pretty fine if I do say so myself" (Mayor)

Oh yeah, those people. I wonder how this new life is for them.

"Relax, enjoy, think of this like your honeymoon. I'll be right here if ya need me" (Mayor)

She laid back down and started reading a magazine.

Well, I guess we could have a bit of fun.

The first thing we need are swimsuits.

We entered a random clothing store. Being a guy I just tried whatever swimsuit best suited me. Nothing much to describe, black trunks. Shronia on the other hand took her time. Mostly because they didn't fit her chest neatly so it was always a little loose up top. Eventually, she chooses a red and white horizontally striped one-piece that fits nicely.

"Looks great on you" (Link)

I gave my thumbs up of approval.

She blushed a little.

"Thanks, you too" (Shronia)

After paying for our stuff we hit the shores. The beach is marvelous, no sticks, twigs, or other organic material littered the sand. The water is beautiful as well, every time a new wave came in, it was like a flowing wave of light.

Cold, but soothing. Something about being submerged in cold water makes you feel at peace.

"It's freezing" (Shronia)

I splashed some water on her.

"Hey!" (Shronia)

She giggled as she did the same to me.

We built an elaborate sandcastle with multiple towers, huge walls, and a moat. I feel like a little kid, but it's fun.

A game of volleyball is being set up, they asked if we wanted to join them. I didn't see why not.

We are on the same team, it was a lot of fun. Shronia took the game a little too seriously and slammed the ball into someone's face. Thankfully they praised her for her strength despite her thin figure.

At around noon we had lunch at an outdoor grill.

After lunch we strolled along the shore, there was a rental boat service. I paid for one and we rowed around the lake. The water is so beautiful as the boat cuts through it.

By late afternoon a firework show was starting, we sat down and enjoyed the show. Shronia had a great idea and launched a giant fireball into the sky, when it exploded it was like a miniature sun for a moment there.

We watched the sunset and the lake beginning to illuminate the beach. The fun is just starting, people started making bonfires and roasting marshmallows. We had enough for the day, we forgot to apply sunscreen so we're a bit burnt.

We changed back into our Sheikah wear and went to a popular restaurant.

"That was a fun day" (Shronia)

She has a bright smile that made me want to smile.

"I'm glad you had fun" (Link)

We chatted idly until the waitress came.

"Welcome, have you decided what you wanted" (Waitress)

"We'll have 2 of your specials" (Link)

"Okay, coming right up" (Waitress)

The special is a type of fish found in this lake, many of the plants and animals around have begun adapting to their new environment. The fish have adapted by using luminous particles and strengthen their scales.

There is also a special drink that comes with the meal. Some glowing berries have begun to glow around the lake, adding in distilled alcohol, they are able to make an ale.

We took a bit of the fish, it was good, buttery and savory. The ale is okay, I wasn't a big drinker in my past life but I knew that this was a sorry excuse for alcohol. It's basically fruit juice with rubbing alcohol, not good at all. Shronia seemed to like it and finished the mug in a few gulps.

"Slow down, we just got here" (Link)

"Come on, we're here to have fun" (Shronia)

She's right, but it's best not to overdo it.

The world began to change colors and my head felt light and good. It can't be the alcohol, it must be the luminous particles. If poison doesn't kill you, then you'll get intoxicated. It is a good feeling, I don't mind it at all.

Shronia seemed to be in another world, probably because she gulped down the mug of makeshift juice. She ordered another mug.

"Last one okay, no more after this" (Link)

Shronia came out of the restaurant with wobbly legs, I got tired of the ale so I only finished about a quarter of my mug.

"Li-nk, I fe-el great" (Shronia)

She started giggling.

"Yes, yes" (Link)

I kept her from falling over. Eventually, she fell asleep.

I took us to an inn, we could've teleported back to Kakariko but there's something else I want to do here.

"Hello, room for 2" (Link)

"Of course, name?" (Innkeeper)

"Link" (Link)

"That will be 200 rupees" (Innkeeper)

Pricy, but I suppose that's reasonable for a resort.

After acquiring our key I entered the room with a drunk and high Shronia. I got a dampened cloth and wiped her messy face.

I laid her on her side just in case she threw up.

Coming here to enjoy ourselves was only one of the reasons I decided to come. The other is to further investigate the Talus in the middle. Using Cryonis I quickly hopped to the island in the middle of the lake. There isn't any disturbance to the local flora, that's good.

The cave is how we left it, more luminous keese attacked me. At the end of the cavern is the giant Luminous Talus with the Malice eye on its back. With the Camera Feature unlocked I took a picture of it.

[Courpted Luminous Pebblit, a Luminous Pebblit filled to the brim with Malice. This caused the Pebblit to grow in size, however it is now too big to be able to walk]

Hmm... What was the purpose of this?

In the DLC of the game, there is a Titan Talus in the Death Mountain region. Could this one be similar to it?

I searched for Malice.

Spirit is to us as Malice is to monsters, that would explain why some shrines and Ancient Sheikah trials have monsters in them.

Outside the cave, I began to destroy the entrance. That thing is a valuable asset, I don't want anyone discovering. Using a combination of physical strength, Magnesis, and Bombs I collapsed the cave in on itself.

I am back in the room, Shronia is mumbling something.

I took the spot next to her and slept. The next morning Shronia woke up with a massive hangover.

"Morning" (Link)

"My head, it hurts" (Shronia)

I poured her a glass of water.

"Let's get something caffeinated to drink, that'll make you feel better" (Link)

Drinking a morning joe while watching the rising sun over the lake, nothing could be more pleasant than this. Shronia drank at least 10 cups of barley tea.

After breakfast, we went to the mayor's place to collect the money.

"Hey mayor" (Link)

"Morning to you, leaving already? Lemme get ya the money" (Mayor)

She has redecorated her house since the last time we came.

"Let's see, 3 months.. So that's.. 30,000 rupees" (Mayor)

So about 10,000 per month, this investment will pay off in no time.

She called someone over and they gave us the rupees.

After receiving the money it was time for our return to Kakariko
