Kilton's Night

Kilton is enjoying his night by lurking around Kakariko Village, he has been doing this ever since Link showed up. Sneaking into homes, he would infect the villagers with Ganon's Malice disguised as monster extract. Doing so will allow Kilton to control a person, he wants any sort of information that could leak any weakness of Link's. So far there are none.

Kilton has peered through Link's window like a crazed stalker multiple times, but he was too scared to comfort Link alone. Always watching but never acting.

Tonight was a special night, usually Link goes to bed by the time the sun sets. This time he was out and about.

To Kilton's surprise, Link was accompanied by a mysterious Sheikah girl.

He didn't waste this chance to observe Link.

Long ago before the Great Calamity, Kilton was a young Hylian boy with a passion for monsters. The villagers couldn't understand his strange obsession, even his parents shunned him. It wasn't long till he was driven from his home.

Sad as it may seem, Kilton didn't mind being ousted from his home. He took this as a sign to live his dream of monsters.

Kilton spent the next few decades researching monsters, a couple of times he tried to befriend them, only to have them attack him. He didn't let up, and soon he created masks that could allow himself to mingle with the monsters. Fooling monsters is an easy task, his next target were the lynels. They are by far the most intelligent monsters being able to speak.

It took many new moons, but he successfully befriended a lynel on Ploymus Mountain. The lynel was different from the other lynels, it did not take pleasure in the killing of others.

The lynel called itself Ploymus, Kilton showed Ploymus his discoveries. From his monster masks to accurate health estimates of monsters. Ploymus enjoyed Kilton's company. Even though he was a peaceful lynel without any hostilities, very few would ever get near him, let alone befriend him. Ploymus was all alone until Kilton arrived.

While on Ploymus Mountain, the continent was at war with the monsters. Not wanting to interfere, Kilton stayed on the mountain for the next few years.

Ploymus helped Kilton with his research, he showed Kilton how lynel weapons are crafted and even the secret of monster spawns. By doing so, Ploymus revealed his master, Ganondorf Dragmire.

Then it happened, the Great Calamity. It was midnight, down in the valley where Zora's Domain resides, Vah Ruta, the Divine Beast was acting strangely. Black clouds of mist invaded the Divine Beast, Vah Ruta roared and squirmed. It stopped moving after a little while.

Ploymus bowed down.

"My lord, how may I help you?" (Ploymus)

A black misty swirl circled the ground in front of them, slowly it condensed into a man. He looked to be from the Gerudo Race, he has red hair with a large and muscular build.

He must be Ganondorf Dragmire.

Ganon looked at Ploymus with a mix of confusion and frustration.

"You haven't killed the Zora Princess, why is that?" (Ganon)

"I see no reason to kill someone that doesn't bother me" (Ploymus)

Ganon was angry, he pulled his arm back. He stopped what he was doing when he looked at Kilton.

"You are?" (Ganon)

"I am Kilton, a researcher and lover of monsters" (Kilton)

"You love monsters?" (Ganon)

Ganon was bewildered.

"I do, I love the way they smell, the way they move, I love everything about monsters" (Kilton)

"I see" (Ganon)

Ganon saw use in this man, there are only 2 types of intelligent monsters that Ganon can create. The wizzrobes, a monster that has an elemental affinity. And of course, there are the lynels. There are a few problems when creating these monsters. The biggest problem is that once they are brought into this world, their arrogance is born. Making it difficult for Ganon to control them.

Kilton is a perfect being in Ganon's eyes, since he is weak, Kilton would never defy Ganon. His army consists of braindead monsters, only a handful of his army is even capable of speech. Kilton may not be able to fight, but having an extra brain in his army couldn't hurt.

"Tell me, how would you like to join me. I can allow you to become closer with monsters" (Ganon)

Kilton couldn't believe his ears, the Dark Lord is asking him to join his ranks.

"I would love to" (Kilton)

Ganon was surprised at how easy it was to persuade him.

Ploymus on the other hand was a bit uneasy.

"Kilton, are you sure about this?" (Ploymus)

"Yeah, I love monsters. What better way to bond with them then to join his ranks" (Kilton)

Kilton faced Ganon.

"Now take my hand" (Ganon)

Ganon extended his arm, Kilton didn't take a second thought. He grabbed it right away.

Ploymus watched from the sidelines, unsure whether to stop this or not.

From that day onwards Kilton became a different creature. His skin turned a purple-gray color, his head elongated and became pointy, most of his hair fell off.

The Gerudo Man showed Kilton a mirror, instead of disgust, Kilton loved his new appearance.

"Haha" (Kilton)

"Do you like it? I personally think you look horrendous" (Ganon)

"I love it" (Kilton)

"I never introduced myself, have I? My name is Ganondorf Dragmire, you may call me Lord Ganon" (Ganon)

That would be the last day Ploymus would ever see his Kilton again. Kilton went with Ganon to help fight the battle against Link.

A few days later the Zora Princess would board Vah Ruta, she never came out.

Back at Kakariko Village.

Kilton isn't the best at stealth so he summoned a kesse to his location.

"Follow that man, but don't make a sound" (Kilton)

The kesse followed Link and Lasli around the village. As instructed by Kilton, the kesse made no screeching sounds whatsoever.

The kesse shared its senses with Kilton, allowing him to see and hear through the kesse. If the kesse were to be injured, Kilton would also feel the pain.

Link went to various places with the girl, Kilton concluded that this was a date. He started to form a plan.

'What if I control her and have her kill Link when he least expects it?' (Kilton)

Kilton started thinking of ways to lure the girl out and have her drink the monster extract. It was no good, Kilton couldn't see a way of getting close without making them suspicious of him. The only solution would be to wait until the date is over, then Kilton could trail the girl back to her home and control her.

There are also 2 girls following the pair. Kilton is unsure of what their purpose is, he kept a watchful eye on them.

The kesse continued to follow Link and Lasli, eventually the pair went up the path to Cotera.

As they walked up the path, Link suddenly looked behind.

Kilton was scared.

Was the kesse discovered?!

The girls popped out from a bush in front, Link came over and spoke to them. After a while, he returned to his date. The girls walked back towards the village.

'Whew' (Kilton)

He sighed. If Link had seen the keese hiding, his guard would never drop.

They continued up the path until they arrived at Cotera's fountain. Cotera waved her hand for Link and Lasli to sit by her. They chatted for a bit, Kilton had a brilliant idea and went up the path to Cotera.

His plan was to drain a bottle of monster extract into the kesse's mouth and have it inject it into Lasli. Obviously, if the keese charged head-on, Link would kill it.

Kilton just needs to distract them for a few seconds.

Kilton pulled out a full bottle of monster extract and emptied it into the keese.

Kilton decided to walk through the forest near the fountain so the 3 wouldn't spot him.

They were still there when he got there.

"Go to the opposite side, when I step out of the trees, quietly make your way to the Sheikah girl" (Kilton)

The keese understood and followed out his directive.

Kilton took a breath and stepped out from the cover of the trees.

"Can I join you tonight?" (Kilton)

It worked, all the attention was on him.

"Who might you be?" (Cotera)

Cotera was queazy of this new arrival, she didn't even feel his presence in the trees. To her, this thing is a threat.

Kilton foresaw this and prepared well.

"Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Kilton and I run the Fang and Bone" (Kilton)

The keese got closer to the Lasli, it had to crawl to avoid the watchful eyes of Cotera.

"That mysterious shop that only appears at night. Tell me Kilton, why are you really here? (Cotera)

Cotera has lived for countless centuries, during that time she knows when someone is acting strangely.

Kilton confessed.

"I saw the Hero strolling around at night and wanted to speak to him" (Kilton)

Kilton wanted to speak the truth, hoping that it would lower Cotera's guard.

It worked, Cotera could tell that Kilton said the truth. However that backfired with Kilton's plan, instead of letting her guard down, she was even more cautious of this strange person.

The keese was almost to its target.

Link started walking towards Kilton, Kilton didn't expect this. Backing up a few steps Kilton wanted to run away. He stopped backing after a few steps, he needed to gain Link's trust. Running away would only make this job more difficult.

Did Link figure out he was a distraction?

"Hero, you don't have to come to me. Actually, if you don't mind, could you stay away from me" (Kilton)

Cotera shouted out to Link.

"Link, don't get any closer to him. I don't trust this man" (Cotera)

Cotera couldn't leave the fountain, not only would her powers disappear leaving her mortal, her sisters will be weakened as well. Lasli could stop Link, but Cotera didn't want to endanger Lasli's life. Cotera saw the people of this village like her own children.

"What's wrong, I got close to you before. Remember that night when we climbed the mountain and purchased some of your goods" (Link)

Kilton did remember that night, it was unexpected that Kilton would meet Link. Kilton just happened to stumble across the believed to be extinct Sheikah Tribe.

Kilton was surprised to see Link as he thought he would head to the Gerudo Desert and try to free Vah Naboris first since it was the closest Divine Beast from the Great Plateau.

"Yes, how could I forget. My first customers in this village, that being said I think you should stop coming closer to me" (Kilton)

Kilton looked for the Master Sword, he didn't see it but he was still worried that Link was somehow concealing it. Again, the only thing that Link had was the Sheikah Slate.

Kilton couldn't control his fear so he backed up a few more steps.

Without knowing so, Kilton was creating a better distraction allowing the keese to hasten its speed without anyone knowing.

'Not good, I have to stop backing up. I have to show that I'm friendly' (Kilton)

As Link drew closer to Kilton, Cotera became more and more worried.

"LINK! Get back here right now!" (Cotera)

"Link, I think you should listen to Cotera" (Lasli)

Lasli even shouted this time, it was no use Link seemed to be in his own world.

Link looked back at the pair.

"I trust Kilton, let me show you" (Link)

Link is now standing right in front of Kilton, Kilton held his breath. Link extended his hand, then a loud shriek came from the village. Link turned and ran towards the direction of the sound leaving Kilton.

Kilton exhaled, relieved that he was alive.

"Lasli, stay here until Link comes back" (Cotera)

Then the keese bit her.

"Ow" (Lasli)

"Lasli!" (Cotera)

Cotera slapped the keese, killing it immediately.

It was too late, the keese had already perform its task. All Kilton had to do was wait.

"You did this didn't you!" (Cotera)

Sensing her rage Kilton retreated back into the woods.

A few moments later, Kilton saw a Sheikah walk up the path, instead of continuing to Cotera he took a right.

The Sheikah stopped before an Ancient Sheikah Circle and shouted out into the air. A Yiga member appeared before him.

The Sheikah in question is named Dorian, ostensibly the man was once part of the Yiga Clan. Link and Shronia were close by, Kilton didn't even know that they were there until the Yiga pointed it out.

A battle soon erupted, Kilton saw how Link moved. He was talented and graceful, he was also fast. Unless you are an elementalist or at a distance with a bow, Kilton didn't see a way for a normal person to defeat Link.

At Hatsotan's current stage, even he wouldn't put up much of a fight. Strangely enough, Link used a savage lynel sword, Kilton visited the Great Plateau recently. The lynel that was supposed to kill Link on the Plateau was nowhere to be seen.

After they defeated the Yiga, Link and Shronia entered the shrine. After they returned, they brought the Yiga to the village.

Lasli was no longer a viable plan, Kilton had hoped that Link and her would be alone together.

The next day, Link left the village. That night, after seeing that Link had left, Kilton went to report to Ganon.
