Chapter 2

If there is anything in my life that I love and value more than food it is my sleep and right now I could feel someone disturb it. And it annoyed the shit out of me.

Right now I was really tired and wanted nothing but to just sleep. But I don't think luck was on my side today. Because as soon as I thought of that a body came crashing on to me probably breaking a bone or two. That was an exaggeration.

"What the hell Mason. What is wrong with you" I asked irritation clear in my voice.

"WHAT you forgot again . WE HAVE TO LEAVE LIKE IN AN HOUR." He yelled.

WHAT I thought to myself... Ok shit I completely forgot that we were leaving today the flight was at 3 so we have to be there by atleast 12.

So as he said that I just rolled my eyes at him and went to the bathroom to get ready. After I completed my morning routine. I went down to find Cassie there along with my parents talking to Mason.

"Well here she comes" my mom says.

I roll my eyes at her and we go out of the house. We all sit in the car. It was a SUV. so all of us could easily fit in there.

As we went closer to the airport the more anxious I got about leaving this place.

We went inside and my parents were waiting to check in while I said my goodbyes to Cassie.

"Bye Cassie"

"So u know that you are the only one that calls me by my middle name." She asks

"Well duh I am your best friend after all" i said proudly.

"I am going to miss you Sophie. A lot. You need to call me every weekend. Got it??" She asked seriousness clear in her voice.

"Yes got it after the million times you have told me." I scoffed.

"Well I am sorry for wanting to talk to my best friend while she is in another country..sorry another continent" she huffed.

"Okay okay. I am sorry. I will miss you too buddy" I hugged her. I hugged her hard cause I never knew when I would see her again.

"Take care okay" she said

"Don't I always" I winked

We entered the plane after almost an hour of checking in. I luckily got the window seat.

I was actually dying to watch a movie so as soon as the fight took off. I played my favourite movie 'After' .

Romance movies are my favorite. The chemistry between the actors is the most beautiful thing ever. I love it even if it is a romance novel. I am such a stupid romance fan. But I actually do know when to stop.

A few hours later I had watched almost 5 movies while munching on almost all the snacks known to me and the air hostess and the flight was about to land. I fastened my seatbelt. And here we come.

We actually landed in new york as we were going to live in a place near new York. It was a small town.

We landed at around 11 in the night and I was really really tired to even look around in the taxi.

When I woke up the car had stopped right outside a gate. I got out to look at the house it wasn't very huge compared to the other houses near my house but it wasn't small either. But I am pretty sure it was bigger than our old house.

As soon as I opened the door there were stairs a little further down the hallway and to the right was the hall. It was already furnished. It had a huge tv and a couch. The kitchen was amazing and spacious.

"Mom which room is mine" shouted my 15 year old brother from the first floor.

"Sophie yours is the first one on the right and his is the first one the left. Okay??" She asked. Her eyes showing that she was clearly tired.

"Yes mom. You go take some rest "

I walked upstairs and told Mase where his room was and entered mine.

My room was beautiful with a queen size bed a lamp on the night stand. A study table besides the bed . A couch and a tv... Wait what a tv. Wow. I never thought I would get a tv in my room.

I knew that my parents were rich but maybe I just did not know how rich they were.

God how ignorant was I?

This house was amazing and so was my room. I just wished everything else would be like this too.

The next morning I woke up at around 11. Wow I thought to myself cause generally at this time Mason would be breaking my bones by jumping on me. Well maybe today was my lucky day. I thought to myself and let sleep consume me... Again.

I woke up again at around 3. I could hear my brother's screeching voice. It felt like it was echoing or something and then I realised that he was right beside me. That little idiot.

"Get off me u asshole" I hissed.

"Then you need to get up cause it already 3"

"Don't I already know that" I asked

"I don't care mom asked me to wake you up and I did . That's it now come down" he demanded and left.

That little piece of shit is becoming a bigger problem day by day.

I slowly got up and did my morning routine. And went downstairs.

"Well look who decided to grace us with her presence" my dad made fun of me.

I stuck out my tongue in response to that. Yeah I know real childish move right. But what can I say. I may be a physically grown up 17 year old but inside I am still a 10 year old kid.

"Sophie" my mother called out.

"Yeah"

"I need you to get groceries I will write you the list" she said.

As I was about to go away she spoke again.

"And one more thing you need to start going to school and yes I know the schooling system is very different but you will be starting your senior year on Monday " she said.

WAIT.. WHAT. did she just say Monday that is like just 2 days away.

"WHAT" I exclaimed.

"I have only a day and a half to prepare for it and it completely new for me and I am sure that the school year has already started." I was frustrated about it

"Yes we know and we have spoken to the principal and they are ready to take you in as it's only been two weeks since the year has started" she said.

I needed to think about it cause this was all new stuff to me and now I had to go to school so soon. I am sure god hates me.
