"Hahhhhhh. Dammit…"

More than 40 hours later it was time for Enzo to log out and charge his headgear again.

The first 10 hours were spent making potions to refill his shop. Enzo was still only selling low grade health potions because he did not have any time to experiment with other things. This wasn't necessarily a problem as he was still making plenty of consistent money from the potions, but he knew he would have to branch out soon.

The other 30 hours were spent gaining new knowledge from the two books Enzo read.

The first book he read was the Species Dossier of Terra. Just as he hoped for, there was a lot more information about the bloodlines available in the game.

Each bloodline was listed as a special entry into the book and gave a detailed recount of how the species came about and the special quirks each species had.

Obviously Enzo was most interested in the bloodlines of the Vampires.

Vampires in modern culture are seen as undead blood fiends and while their description in the world of Terra weren't much different, there were still things that set them apart.

Vampires aren't necessarily undead as their hearts still beat and move the blood around their body, but only in certain circumstances. Most vampire hearts do not pulse unless the vampire is drinking blood. This quirk stems from the origin of the vampires.

Vampires are the result of Fae having intimate relations with an Undead Dragon…

So, technically they are half undead, but anything not fully undead counts as living.

The unlikely union of the Fae and Undead Dragons caused their children to be born with a severe birth defect. Vampires have a need for red and white blood cells, but their hearts do not work properly and cannot produce them on their own.

Vampires use the blood they drink to supplement their lack of red and white blood cells. The blood cells in their bodies are used as energy instead of food, so they are constantly being consumed by the vampire's body. The consumed blood cells are then replaced by new blood cells from the blood they drink.

If a newborn vampire doesn't drink blood for the first time they will go into a blood frenzy that cannot be reversed. Blood frenzies happen to adult vampires as well if they do not drink for a while, but they can be reversed by drinking blood again.

There was also a lot more information on the anatomy of vampires.

They have the features of the Fae, other than their sharp canine teeth, but have the animalistic instincts of their undead dragon ancestors. Some vampires can even unlock more of their dragon heritage as they grow stronger and can gain things like wings.

There were also lists of strengths and weaknesses that contained a few things that weren't in the article Extant Company put out before Legends Reborn Online was released. This was a good thing, but what made it even better was that each strength and weakness was explained in depth.

"Mwuahahahahahaha!" Enzo laughed evilly as he instantly realized something.

The description of the reason why vampires couldn't use weapons was as follows:

[Weakness #3: Vampires are basically allergic to shiny things, but most notably silver. Their lack of a heart beat causes the blood in their body to be cold. The blood doesn't move, so the blood does not create heat. The UV rays in the sun cause extreme burning to their skin because of their cold blooded nature and their heritage. Shiny objects and metals further enhance the strength of the UV rays. Using a metal weapon will cause even the light of the moon to burn a vampire's skin.]

There was more information on the weakness but none of it mattered to Enzo anymore.

Enzo had been worried about how he was going to deal with the problem of not using weapons after his transformation since the beginning of the game. However, he found a solution to this problem almost as soon as he finished reading about it.

If the reflections were the reason why vampires couldn't use weapons, then what if there were no reflections?

There were two solutions Enzo could think of to fix this problem. The first and the worst one was that he could hopefully make a sunlight absorbent paint that could be coated onto weapons. It would be hard to make something like that with just the materials in Terra, but if he could find materials similar to the ones on Earth he would be able to do it.

The other solution is to find sun absorbent metals or a metal that could be mixed in with sun absorbent substances similar to titanium dioxide. On earth there are a few substances that absorb UV rays, such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.

Metals such as iron are present in the world of Terra so Enzo has hope that they would be able to procure those substances one day. Then they would have to find out if the UV ray rejective substances could be safely mixed into metal.

In short, there were a few immediate solutions Enzo could think of for the problem of not being able to use weapons after he turns into a vampire. Now he just needed to have a talk with Hephaestus about the symbiotes so that they could make them still usable for vampires.

After he read the dossier, Enzo moved onto the Apex Predator by K.B. but sadly there was nothing in it.

The book's pages were completely blank, so Enzo wasn't frustrated at all that he needed to log out in 30 minutes.

He concocted a few more potions and put them into his shop before logging out of the game once more.

There was now less than 2 weeks left until Enzo needed to defeat the dungeon.

Important Author's Note today:

I have decided to make this book into a full blown series. I am going to have 6-7 books in the series all with different main characters who will meet up in the last book. I'm telling you guys this so that I can get your opinion on some things. I am currently decided the species of the six main characters, but here is what I have so far. Vampire (Enzo), Dragonling, Slime, Catfolk, Robot, and Werebear. Let me know in the comments if these races are a good choice, and if not then please give another species. Also let me know which species you would like to see be the star of the second book as I can't choose which one I want to do first.
