Laid-back Highschooler In Bleach (With Soul Cube)

"What is the point of being strong if you cannot even be lazy?" Kai Kurogami never had any aspirations to be a hero. He was content living his life in peaceful obscurity, avoiding any and all trouble that might come his way. But after the Soul Cube merged with his body, he found himself with incredible power at his fingertips - power that he could use to protect those he cared about. Of course, that didn't mean he was suddenly going to become a hero overnight. Kai still had his priorities straight: avoid trouble, stay under the radar, and find the easiest way out of any situation. And with his new abilities, that was easier than ever. As he absorbed the souls of the fallen warriors from the Thousand Year Blood War, Kai found himself gaining incredible powers and abilities. But he was careful to keep his head down and avoid drawing too much attention to himself. He might have been a powerful warrior now, but that didn't mean he wanted to be bothered by all the other powerful warriors out there. Along the way, Kai found himself building a harem of powerful women who were drawn to his carefree attitude and devil-may-care approach to life. But even with all that power at his fingertips, Kai never lost sight of his true goal: finding the path of least resistance and staying as lazy as possible. So if you're looking for a hero with a sense of purpose, look elsewhere. But if you want a warrior who will do anything to avoid a fight, Kai Kurogami is your man. Just don't expect him to save the world anytime soon. **I am currently writing three novels simultaneously - One Piece with Bodily Refinement Bead, Bleach with Soul Cube, and Naruto with Divine Purple Card. "Can you not?" Kai asked, his tone uninterested. He remained seated on Lisa's back, her futile attempts at squirming under his weight only serving to amuse him more. "I don't like violence," he drawled, his grip on Lisa's wrists unyielding.

His words hung heavy in the room, a stark contrast to the palpable tension. He watched as the others exchanged wary glances, their weapons still pointed at him. Lisa, on the other hand, continued to seethe beneath him. He could feel her energy pulsating, a clear indication of her frustration.

Finally, Shinji sighed, breaking the silence. "Can you get off of her?" he requested, his tone clearly strained. The blond-haired man didn't look thrilled with the current situation, his eyes darting between Kai and Lisa.

Kai let out a disappointed huff, shifting his weight on Lisa's back with a grin. "I was just feeling comfortable. Nice tushy by the way, kudos," he teased, earning a sharp hiss from Lisa and an audible groan from Shinji. The rest of the room fell into a stunned silence once more, their expressions a mix of disbelief and exasperation.

Hiyori was the first to react, her small frame trembling with barely restrained rage. "You perverted scum!" she bellowed, her voice echoing off the warehouse walls. Before Kai could so much as blink, Hiyori was a flurry of movement, launching herself towards him. Her thighs clamped tightly around his head as she chomped down, her teeth sinking into the soft flesh of his scalp.

"Oi! Oi! Oi!" Kai yelped in surprise, trying to dislodge the angry woman from his head while still maintaining his hold on Lisa. The situation was quickly escalating from comical to downright chaotic.

On the other side of the room, Mashiro had turned around in her tight jumpsuit to showcase her own derriere, a cheeky grin on her face. "Mine is better, right?" she called out over the din, her voice ringing out with clear expectation. Everyone paused, their attention shifting towards her.

Kai gave her an appraising look, his eyes scanning her figure. A slow, lazy grin spread across his face as he gave a thumbs-up. "Definitely better," he conceded, the words only adding fuel to the fire.

Lisa, still pinned beneath Kai, reacted instantly to his comment. Her struggles renewed with a fierce determination, her body twisting and turning in an attempt to dislodge him. Kai could feel her muscles flexing beneath him, the barely suppressed energy radiating off her in waves.

"Get. Off. Me. You. Pervert!" Each word was punctuated with a determined wriggle, yet Kai held firm, a chuckle escaping his lips at her attempts.

A pregnant pause filled the warehouse as everyone waited for Kai's next move. His teasing smirk had evolved into a full-fledged grin, his amusement at the whole situation evident. Despite the threat of several Zanpakuto pointed at him and Hiyori's incessant biting, he appeared entirely unbothered.

Shinji broke the silence with an exasperated sigh. "Kai," he began, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration, "Can you get off of her? And Hiyori, can you please stop biting him?"

"Fine, fine." Kai sighed, rolling his eyes as he released Lisa and Hiyori simultaneously. He slowly got up from Lisa's back, turning to face the disgruntled woman with a smirk. "But I did it for my Zanpakuto spirit," he explained, crossing his arms over his chest. "She got angry when this lass called me a pervert because I have a female spirit. She got offended."

His words elicited a few confused glances, his shrug only adding to the confusion. "She chose me after all, not the other way around and I cannot make it any clearer, she loves me!" He ended with a cheeky wink, causing everyone in the room to roll their eyes.

Lisa, now free from Kai's hold, got up from the floor. Her face was a mask of irritation as she dusted off her clothes, her gaze never leaving Kai. "You are unbelievable," she muttered under her breath, a statement more to herself than anyone else. The tension in the room began to subside as everyone turned their attention back to their own activities.

With a reluctant sigh, Lisa turned around and moved towards the small kitchenette at the corner of the warehouse. The clink of porcelain against porcelain echoed through the room as she prepared a pot of tea.

Kai, on the other hand, found a comfortable spot on a ragged couch, making himself at home. He stretched out, resting his feet on a nearby table. He watched Lisa in the kitchen, his gaze amused.

It wasn't long before Lisa returned with a tray holding a teapot and several cups. She set it down on the table, careful not to disturb Kai's comfortably stretched out legs. She poured a cup for Kai and handed it to him before pouring for herself.

Once everyone had their tea, they all gathered around, creating a somewhat disorganized circle. Kai held the warm cup in his hands, enjoying the fragrant aroma wafting from it. Lisa, who was seated opposite him, watched him with narrowed eyes, still not over the earlier confrontation.

"Alright," Shinji started, breaking the lingering silence. "Let's get back on track here." He turned to Kai, his face serious.

"It seems that your hollowification is different from ours," Shinji began, breaking the momentary silence that had hung in the room. His statement was met with a slow nod from Kai, his grin never wavering.

"I'd have to agree," Kai responded, a thoughtful tone lacing his words. He crossed his arms over his chest, leaning back into the worn couch.

"I don't know how it happened," Shinji continued, his brow furrowed in thought, "But that night, when we saw you, it seemed like it was the same as ours. At least the process looked similar. But the cause might be different and that would change a few other variables."

Hearing Shinji's analysis, Kai's grin widened into a full-blown smile. "I sometimes forget you were a Captain of a Division once." He remarked casually, his comment hanging heavily in the room.
