5th son

As the 5th son of a now dead duke it seems i'm going to be homeless after all i don't have any land to my name and only my first and second brothers were included in his inheritance the first son succeeding the dukedom and the second receiving the deeds to some small businesses in the capital.

My two older sisters have been married off quite a long time ago after all they are the 2nd and 3rd oldest, And even i should be looking for someone to wed but considering the fact i don't have much to my name....

I have decided to put it off for now at least i'm currently 22 years old i know its a bit strange for a noble to not be married by that age but i didn't have a marriage arranged for me.

Also considering most of my life has consisted of training and going on small expeditions with the family guards to clear up wild life that could endanger the villages under the command of the dukedom.

And during those expeditions i did manage to earn a small sum of money small because i spent quite a large portion of it during the trips on drinks and the such

So at the very least other than my family i like to think i have a good image in the family guards minds..

The guards tell me i should apply to be a guard for the royal family , they even have the gall to say I would at the very least be a guard captain or a personal guard for one of the royals.

If i were to compare my strength to the family guards of the dukes manor i was able to win a 6v1 but that was just a spar not life and death.

My level exceeds theirs but not by much as i'm in the 8th expert stage while they are at the lower expert stages 1-3 but their ages nearly double mine so they do call me a bit of a prodigy.

Master 1-9

Grandmaster 1-9

theirs supposedly a level beyond that but anybody who reached that realm of power disappeared shortly after attaining it.
