Getting to know more about the world

Although the power displayed on Alex's screen was not comparable to Clara's or the royals', it was still a good talent. Alex chose this talent because he didn't want to attract too much attention to himself early on.

While Alex was in his thoughts, Clara tiptoed over to him and pinched him as usual, which made him wake up from his thoughts.

"Ouch"

Alex groaned and acted like he was in pain.

"Do you think we would be able to get into university?"

Clara asked while giving Alex a nervous smile while clenching her clothes.

"You should really pay attention to your surroundings"

Alex said while giving her a soft bonk to her apple head. Then he proceeded to explain how rare it was to awaken three talents, which made Clara's mouth drop and hug Alex excitedly. When she finally realized they were hugging, she quickly broke it off and acted like nothing happened. "Here I thought I was the one who is good at acting," Alex thought. Then both of them proceeded to get off the stage and join the crowd of awakened youths.

After a few minutes, the sound of two loud claps could be heard.

*clap* *clap*

Everyone looked at the direction of the clap and saw Sonia Yinris, the vice principal, standing on the elevated platform where the ability testing site was. Soon after, she took the orb microphone and invited the youths to gather around the platform. Within a few moments everyone was around her with slight expectations in their eyes.

Everyone was expecting to get into the university of magic and hoped that their abilities would fit into that criteria.

"I extend to you all my congratulations on fusing your forces. I believe that you all have gained a variety of abilities. Some may help you with your day-to-day activities, while others may even allow you to influence masses of people. But you should keep in mind that your forces cannot be used excessively, as that may lead to deterioration of the body. This happens due to the body not being able to withstand the force. You should all feel the limit of your power in your mind like a natural instinct. Therefore, I strongly suggest not exceeding your capacity."

"Do you have any questions ?"

Sonia asked while looking at the crowd. She wanted to engage the crowd more as it would be more productive. Sonia was a person who didn't like to do anything in a less productive way.

"Is there any method to make the time we can use our force last longer?"

A boy asked while bowing clumsily.

"I presume you are talking about our natural capacity. In that case, there are three known methods to improve our capacity. Most common being physical and mental training. In addition to that, consuming some rare medicines also could bring up the effects of increasing one's capacity.

For both physical and mental training methods, there are many specialized techniques devised for them. The basics of these techniques are available for public use, while the more advanced ones are regulated by the academy.

Is there any more questions?"

Sonia saw another hand raised. It was the prince of beastkin, Reiko. As soon as she told him to ask the question, Reiko bowed in an elegant manner mixed with some fighting instinct and said, "When can we start fighting the mosters?"

No one could have expected him to ask such a question. But Sonia had a small smile on her lips, and she continued her speech.

"I have to disappoint you prince. You would probably have to wait a while, at least until you finish graduating from the academy."

Reiko who heard this bowed again and sat grumpily. Alex could tell that he was a fighting maniac.

"Vice principal, could you please tell us about the monsters"

Another boy stood up and asked.

"They are organisms that are living in worlds that are different from ours. Due to the reactions between the forces in our world, fissures are created that connect that place to a location in a distinct world.

Sometimes those organisms enter our world through these cracks and start destroying the surroundings. If it appears near a settlement, it could lead to many lives being lost. But you don't have to fear, as our queen Astoria is limiting the formation of these fissures to desolate places so they can be taken care of without causing any damage. She had been doing this for almost 420 years. You should all be grateful to her."

While she was saying the last part, her face became a bit emotional but went back to her previous expression in a split second. Alex had an idea about it but he didn't think much about it.

From the moment Alex fused with Alpha, he got a massive stream of information about this world. So all of this didn't come as a surprise to him. Alex also could tell thats nobles and royals already knew of this matter juging by the faces of them.

If Alex wanted to, he could find anything in this multiverse, whether it was future or past. But he decided not to peer into the future, as his life would become meaningless and without any suspense as he already knew what was going to happen. That is not to say he would never use it; if the need arises, he will use it without a second thought.

"Alright, I think that's enough for now. While you were all listening to the speech, we set up a board containing the names of those who would be admitted to the university in the future and their respective classes. A total of 100 students will be admitted, and the best of the best will be moved to the elite class.You can find more information in the leaflet that will be given to you at the entrance. After her speech, Sonia got down from the stage with the help of a tree branch that appeared out of nowhere from the ground. It was controlled with fine precision and power. It amazed many students, and everyone was determined to get to that level someday.

Alex had an urge to check her ability using his powers, but he held back because he didn't have full control over them and he wanted to take it slow, step by step.

After the ceremony ended, all the youths hurriedly went towards the board in front of the academy to see the results, where the royals and nobles took the lead in the crowd.

"Clara, you will be a celebrity at the university for sure."

Alex said to Clara with a grin while following behind the crowd.

"But I don't want to. I just want to make a lot of money and live peacefully with my family."

"That's so like you, Clara. Really simple goals."

"Who are you calling simple, huh?"

Clara said while giving an angry glare towards him, to which he responded by showing her the tip of his tongue while running away from her towards the crowd.

Clara also followed Alex soon after giving him an angry look that said, "I'm going to pinch you to death." But the smile at the corner of her mouth could be seen clearly.
