[This is the Fifth Chapter]

[This is the Fifth Chapter]

"Halt! Veiled Dragon Pavilion is not a place for you to wander about!" said the guards stopping us with their halberd.

"I have something that need to be appraised." I was too lazy to argue with these guard, so I just stated my business.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Zhuo Fan, why does it matter who am I to you?"

"I've never heard about you. Our appraiser can't met with just anybodies!"

"That's none of your concern, just let us in and don't waste our time."

"Young man, final warning. Don't force us to use violence!"

"Alright, I have had enough of this nonsensical shit! Long Kui, Long Jiu, come out now!" I used [Lion's Roar] on the last part.

My voice echoed throughout the Windgaze City. The guards who were right in front of me even closed their ears because I shouted too loudly.

"You bastard!"

"Stop."

At that moment, the girl that I met in the market few days ago appeared. She's also affected by my [Lion's Roar] it seems, looking at her troubled face and hand covering her ears.

"Young Miss, these guys are causing trouble."

"I've heard everything, this time you're at fault. All who come to our pavilion are guests, and must treated with respect." she admonished the guards who didn't do well with their duty, "we have meet again Mister, seems like you have learned about my identity."

"Hey there, girlie ... I have some business with your old man. Can you call him out?"

"This ... Mister, if you have something that need to be appraised I will do it for you. There's no need to call for my grandfather." she cupped her hand in front of me, "let us change the place for our discussion. Please this way, Mister."

I followed the Long girl inside the pavilion with Luo sibling and Captain Pang behind me.

"I have not acquainted with Mister, what is the identity of the Mister if I may intrude?"

"Call me Zhuo Fan, currently working as Luo clan's steward."

"Eh?" she take a look at Luo Yunchang before looking at me once again. "Rest assured Master, I will do my best to examine your treasure."

The Long girl led us to a room with luxurious furniture. She smiled and then said.

"I wonder what kind of treasure that you brought, please take it out."

I took the scroll that has been nourished by the [Time Accelerating Array] for 36 hours. If I took this into modern world and do carbon dating, then it would reveal that it's at least one thousands and two hundred ninety six years. I did my best in counterfeiting an ancient treasure.

"Mister Zhuo Fan, how much do you want?" she placed the scroll back into the wooden box.

"You're the appraiser, and your skill is quite good. I'll let you state your offer."

Long Kui then bitted her lips before saying. "How does one hundred thousand spirit stones sound?"

"One hundred thousand!!" Luo Yunchang was surprised hearing such amount.

When Luo clan was at its peak, their entire wealth wouldn't surpass fifty thousand spirit stones. Yes, that's just how a third-rate clan compared with the Seven Nobles House.

"Who are you trying to swindle girl? I'm expecting a sincere trade, and yet you trying to trick me?"

"Mister Zhuo, my offer is reasonable. Beside this is just 1st Grade Array, and instead of jade slip it was paper drawn."

"Sigh, Young Miss Long. This array formation is worth more than what you're offering."

"Take it as my loss, one hundreds and twenty thousand spirit stones!"

"Call your old man, I never expect such prestigious establishment like your Veiled Dragon Pavilion is trying to swindle people."

I closed the wooden box and demanded to see the old man Long. But instead of calling out her grandfather, Long Kui changed her target and asked Luo Yunchang.

"Young Miss Luo, this drawing is worth thirty thousand at most. I offered it one hundred thousand only because the scroll is old and probably has history. Only the Veiled Dragon Pavilion has the wealth to buy such a drawing in the entire Empire. You won't gain a better price elsewhere."

"Uhm ..." Luo Yunchang glanced at me.

I shook my head to her. But Long Kui girl didn't relent and stopped with just that.

"Young Miss Luo, if you agree to sell this. You and our Veiled Dragon Pavilion will be making a great transaction and will become our honored guest. Our doors will forever be open to you."

"Isn't this gaining supporter," Luo Yunchang swayed for a second by Long Kui's word.

"Hey, hold on a second ... did I ever said that this scroll is Luo clan's item? It's no use if you try your best in tricking my Young Miss, I won't sell it for that price."

"This ..., why Mister Zhuo Fan posses such item?"

"Why not? Is it a crime for me to have this?" I'm getting tired with this useless banter, "Call your old man, or I will shout until he came here."

"Fine, just you wait. Even if it's my grandfather, his appraisal of this item won't go beyond fifty thousand!"

Long Kui walked out and a moment later, an old man with white hair and long beard appeared.

"Luo Clan's Young Miss ... I happen to meet your father twenty years ago. He's such a spirited young lad back then, to think that today you will sell one of Luo's treasure."

He then turned to me and said.

"You must be Luo Clan's steward."

"That's true."

"Good, anyone's better than that old Sun." Long Jiu sat down after commenting my death predecessor, "So ... I heard that you're doubting little Kui's skill."

"She's alright but still inadequate." I tried to make the haughty lass less hostile to me by saying that.

"Hahaha, Little Kui might be a junior appraiser, but she still gifted with good eyes. She must be more or less right with her assessment. However, since you doubted her, let this old man take a look."

"Please."

I gave the scroll to him, and Long Jiu smile vanished after receiving it, he spends a whole minute staring intently at the content.

"Grandfather, wasn't I right? 1st grade array, even if it's quite old ... the price won't be more than fifty thousand."

"I never expected that Luo clan would hide such a thing. Kid, what do you think of 2,5 million spirit stones?"

"What? Grandpa Jiu..."

"Not enough, I expect 10 million for this scroll." I shook my head not giving any chance for the Long girl to speak.

"What?"

"Kid, isn't this price too exaggerated?"

"The scroll worth way more than that. I don't need to tell you its price as you already know the value." I sighed, "If you don't have that much spirit stones at this moment, I will let you pay a million first and you can pay the rest slowly afterward."

Long Jiu eyed the scroll and then nodded, "Alright ..., until the debt is paid, Veiled Dragon Pavilion shall owe Luo Clan."

He took the scroll and walked out, once his figure was gone his voice reverberated, "Little Kui, give them a million spirit stones and walk them out."

This Story ended here ... I honestly had a great time re-reading this. And maybe I'll continue it as I still remember that Steward Demonic Emperor is just too sad and too depressing.
