Confession?

After Song Yang and Chen Meng Meng left the cave, they started walking back in the direction of the Flying Boat of the sect.

As they walked among the trees, the two girls chatted happily.

"Thank you for your help. It was fun doing the mission together." Said Song Yang, smiling.

"No, thank you for accompanying me. I realized that doing this easy mission alone would have been very boring." Said Chen Meng Meng.

"Exactly! That's why I plan to do the next missions with my roommates." Said Song Yang.

"You're lucky to have roommates... We, inner disciples, live in individual houses and only have a working disciple acting as a servant for company. I don't interact much with the other disciples." Said Chen Meng Meng in a depressed tone.

Song Yang felt bad for her but was also surprised. He had always thought that cultivators preferred to be lonely and walk the path of cultivation alone. It seemed that it was not the case for everyone. Song Yang himself didn't want to be alone and would prefer to reach the apex of cultivation accompanied by the people he cared about. He was not like those main characters, leaving their friends, lovers, and families behind to go alone to the higher realms...

"Well, if you want, I can send you a message the next time I will do sect missions so you can join me." He suggested, smiling.

The exchange of written messages between disciples was possible but this service wasn't free for outer disciples. It didn't cost that much so it didn't bother Song Yang to use it, especially if he could gain a companion to do these boring sect missions.

"That would be wonderful! Thank you very much." She accepted, happily.

A few minutes of walking later, Song Yang and Chen Meng Meng were forced to part way because the location of the Flying Boat for inner and outer disciples was not the same.

"Thank you again and see you soon for another mission." Said Song Yang, waving goodbye.

"Sure! Goodbye." Said Chen Meng Meng, waving back.

After bidding farewell, Song Yang continued walking towards the Flying Boat. Thankfully, it was already there when he arrived so he didn't have to wait for it.

He walked on the boat and waited for it to bring him up the mountain. Once at the top, he passed the West Gate and went straight to the Mission Hall.

Completing the mission took him less than two hours so, when Song Yang entered the hall, almost nothing had changed. It was the same receptionist and the same group of disciples sitting at the tables. There were just a few more disciples gathered in front of the mission board.

"Elder, I have completed the mission." Said Song Yang as he took the Spiritual Plants out from his Storage Pouch.

The elder inspected the plants that Song Yang had placed on the table to check their quality and nodded a few seconds later.

"Good. Give me your Sect Token, I will credit you the Contribution Points." She said.

Song Yang gave his token and saw as the elder injected her Qi inside it before giving it back to him. He also tried to inject his Qi and saw that the word 'Outer' on the token suddenly changed to '100', indicating his amount of Contribution Points.

After thanking the elder, Song Yang smiled, happy to have earned his first Contribution Points. Then, he left the Mission Hall and directly walked back to his house.

Once he arrived, he was surprised to see Tan Yanyan and Xia Zilin sitting at the table. At this hour they should be cultivating, unless something has happened...

"I'm back. You're not cultivating?" He asked.

"Sister Yu Qi, you're back! We were worried about you!" Exclaimed Xia Zilin in a worried voice.

"We heard that you were attacked by a senior sister; but when we went looking for you, you had already left the Outer-Sect Area. Are you alright?" Asked Tan Yanyan.

Song Yang felt warm in his heart. It was a new feeling for him as it was the first time anyone other than his parents had worried about him.

"I'm fine, don't worry." He reassured them, smiling.

The two girls seemed relieved after hearing that he was fine and smiled widely.

"So, how was your first sect mission?" Asked Xia Zilin, curious.

Song Yang sat at the table next to them before answering.

"I had to pick some Spiritual Plants for the Alchemist Hall. The mission was nothing exciting but luckily I met an inner disciple with whom I did the mission so it was quite fun."

"An inner disciple? Was it a boy?" Asked Tan Yanyan, excitedly.

"Actually, it was a girl. She was very nice and we promised to do some sect missions together in the future. I will introduce her to you two." Answered Song Yang.

"Oh. Sure." Tan Yanyan was a little disappointed, she wanted to tease her roommate.

"By the way, I brought something interesting." Said Song Yang as he took out the Spirit Wine from his Storage Pouch and placed it on the table.

The bottle of Spirit Wine looked nothing like the modern glass bottle of wine that Song Yang knew. This one looked like a small, black traditional wine jar with a red ribbon as a stopper. The words 'Spirit Wine' were elegantly inscribed on it in golden characters.

"Spirit Wine! You managed to get a bottle! When we went to the Market Hall with Sister Yanyan, there were no more bottles in stock. But she still managed to get one." Said Xia Zilin.

"How did you manage to get a bottle if there was no more stock?" Asked Song Yang as he saw Tan Yanyan taking out a bottle of Spirit Wine from her Storage Pouch.

"When Sister Zilin and I went to look for you, we met Li Qiang on the way. That pervert wanted to take revenge on me because I beat him during the tournament so I challenged him to an official duel with the bottle of Spirit Wine as a bet. Of course, I won." Explained Tan Yanyan, smiling proudly

"Sister Yanyan kicked his ass!" Exclaimed Xia Zilin, excitedly.

"Hahaha, good job! That guy got what he deserved. Sister Yanyan is the best!" Laughed Song Yang.

The three of them laughed before staring longingly at the bottles of wine on the table.

"Can we drink the Spirit Wine now? I have never tasted it before so I'm really curious about it. Is it really that good?" Asked Song Yang.

"Sure."

"Of course."

Actually, for each of them, it would be the first time that they would taste the Spirit Wine. After all, a bottle of Spirit Wine was so rare and difficult to produce, that one could only get it in tier-1 sects.

Song Yang smiled happily before fetching three small cups from the cupboards behind him.

When he removed the stopper from the bottle, a delicious and ethereal aroma spread through the air, making the three girls salivate. If just the smell was so good then what about the liquid itself?

He poured the wine into the three cups and took his own before taking a sip.

His eyes widened in surprise as the wine went down his throat. It was so delicious that he had no words to describe it as that taste didn't exist on Earth!

"This is amazing!" Said Song Yang.

"This is delicious!" Said Tan Yanyan.

"More! More! I want more!" Exclaimed Xia Zilin, excitedly.

Surprised by Xia Zilin's sudden outburst, Song Yang and Tan Yanyan looked at her with a dumbfounded expression. The girl's cheeks were red like a tomato and she was smiling foolishly.

"Is she already drunk?" Asked Song Yang.

"It seems that Sister Zilin's alcohol tolerance is very low." Said Tan Yanyan.

Xia Zilin tried to grab the bottles of Spirit Wine, but Song Yang quickly pulled them out of her reach.

"Hey, I want more! Give me more!" She complained while continuously trying to grab the bottles from Song Yang.

"She's very persistent... Should we give her one more cup?" Asked Song Yang to Tan Yanyan. He personally didn't want to give too much alcohol to a fourteen years old girl.

"Yes, let's give her one more cup. That should knock her out." Answered Tan Yanyan, sighing.

Song Yang reluctantly poured another cup of wine to Xia Zilin who immediately emptied it in one gulp.

"Hic! T-Thanks..." Said Xia Zilin in a low voice.

At least the girl had calmed down; but now, she was looking strangely and intensely at Song Yang, making him feel uncomfortable.

"S-Sister Yu Qi..." She called.

"Yes?"

"D-Do you know that the first time I saw you my heart skipped a beat. I had never seen someone as beautiful as you before." She said, smiling foolishly.

"Hahaha, Sister Zilin, is that a confession? Are you secretly in love with Sister Yu Qi?" Asked Tan Yanyan in a teasing tone.

"Huh? If I find a girl beautiful, does that mean that I love her? Then, I love Sister Yu Qi!" She exclaimed before blacking out and falling asleep on the table.

Hearing her, Song Yang didn't know what to think. He didn't want to take Xia Zilin's 'confession' to heart because he knew that she was drunk and couldn't control what she was saying. Moreover, the girl was so young that she probably didn't even know what 'love' meant...

"Sister Yanyan, you shouldn't have teased Sister Zilin." Said Song Yang, sighing.

"Hahaha! But it was fun!" Laughed Tan Yanyan before pouring herself a second cup of wine and gulping it.

Song Yang also wanted to drink a second cup but he refrained from doing it. He didn't want to lose control of himself since he had a lot of secrets to keep. He didn't want to accidentally spit them out because he was drunk.

Despite its delicious taste, the wine was very strong and he could feel that he was already at his limits after only drinking a cup...

"Sister Yu Qi, thank you for everything you're doing for Sister Zilin and me. If one day I can repay you, I will definitely do it." Said Tan Yanyan, pulling Song Yang out of his thoughts.

"Huh? Why are you suddenly so serious? And you don't have to thank me, you two also did a lot for me." He said, smiling.

"No, you don't understand. In this world, people fight and kill each other for cultivation resources, but you gave us yours without expecting anything in return. You are truly kind, generous, and amazing." She said before pouring herself another cup of wine and drinking it.

After a few seconds of silence, Tan Yanyan suddenly looked at Song Yang with a deep gaze and laughed shyly. Her red cheeks indicated that she was now drunk.

"Sister Yu Qi... If you were a man, I would definitely marry you." She declared before collapsing on the table.

Song Yang was speechless. Did he just receive two confessions from two girls for the two parts of himself?

Well, the two of them were drunk and probably didn't mean what they said, they would even most likely regret saying that when they would wake up...

However, if they really meant what they said, then Song Yang would definitely consider 'evolving' his relationship with them. Until now, he had always tried his best to maintain a 'brotherly' relationship between them and didn't dare to have romantic feelings about them because they were too young. But he had already realized that fourteen years old people in this world were far more mature (physically and mentally) than fourteen years old people on Earth...

Sorry, no chapter tomorrow.
