Chapter 4

It has been a couple of days since i have visited black market and today it's finally time to start my real traning.

Right now i am standing in front of the border of the Lewington city with a car at my side,Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.

From where i can see tens of fully armed soldiers at the city's entrance. They stood at the two sides of the city wall and their sharp gazes continued to sweep across the passersby coming and going.

I patiently waited for my turn. Fortunately, I didn't have to wait for long as within a couple of minutes, a soldier appeared by my car.

Looking toward me, the soldier sternly asked.

"Please state why you want to leave the city."

"Here."

Flashing a black card that signified that I was a part of the mercenary group, I explained.

"I'm here to to hunt beasts and look for cores."

"Cores?"

"Mhm, mostly training. Cores, not so sure, but hey. What if, right?"

It wasn't a rare occurrence for mercenaries to leave the human domain and hunt for beasts. But the main purpose of almost everyone of leaving through Lewington city was mostly to hut low ranked demons.

"I see, how many people?"

"Only me"

"Huh, only you?"

With a frown on his face, guard asked me.

"Is there any problem?"

Lowering my glasses, i asked which resulted in him breaking into cold sweat.

I had not even released pressure of my rank but instead just threatene-,ahem, asked him politely while looking at him with six eyes.

"...S....s-sure n-no p-problem. Just transfer 10,000 U."

Taking out my phone I quickly transferred 10,000 U to the guard. Once the money was fully transferred and the guard saw it, stepping to the side, the guard motioned for me to go before running off without even looking back once.

Without minding the guard, I quickly drove the car forward.

As I drove forward, Lewington city soon disappeared from the view, and what replaced it was thick lush trees.

After driving for some time, i finally stepped out of my car as there was no road for vehicle.

Once i got out of car looking around me i was impressed with the number of monsters lurking around.

None of the monsters around me were that powerful but they were gonna provide me with adequate amount of experience in dealing with large number of opponents.

I was severely lacking in that aspect as while i did have huge raw power but lack of combat experience was holding me back.

But this was the best chance to fix that problem.

—Rustle!

Suddenly, a rustling sound came from the nearby bushes, which i had sensed very early.

Following the rustling sound, a black silhouette suddenly jumped out of nowhere. Turning my head and staring at the silhouette that had just appeared, a smile appeared on my face.

"Well on the topic of training… i've got the perfect training partner."

(A/N: The whole fight is just an experiment from me to see how will my action sequence come out and it looks bad honestly speaking. I am hoping for you guys advice in action department.)

Appearing from out of the bushes was a huge red-furred creature that had a pair of bloody red eyes that carried a strange glint of green light and a large mouth where two enormous fangs drooped down.

A terrifying bloodthirsty aura spread out of the creature's body, enveloping the surroundings.

Standing on its four feet, the creature's red eyes glared towards our direction with saliva dripping down from its mouth.

"It's a red-furred two-husked wolf; looks like we've stepped on its territory."

A red-furred two-husked wolf.

An E-ranked mutated creature that was commonly found in these areas. Glancing at my watch and staring at the beast encyclopedia, I got a brief overview of the beast.

To summarize what it said, the wolf in front of me mainly relied on its sharp claws rather than fangs to attack.

While i was looking at the wolf with intrest, it lunged toward me in the process snapping me out of my thoughts.

I was only able to take a couple of steps back before the wolf arrived and used it's claw to strike where i was prior to taking few steps back.

While i did not get any serious injurie, it did not mean that attack did not harm me.

As i was only able to take couple of steps back the fox infront of me managed to scratch me in arms.

Without glancing at the scratch, i moved toward the wolf at the speed similar to its own.

Curling my fist, i threw a quick jab toward it's face which was gonna be blocked if not for me changing the direction of fist as my fist suddenly moved toward it's chest.

"Hueeeek!"

Blood splattered everywhere, and an enraged howl reverberated across the surroundings as the wolf flayed its body wildly.

"It seems that attack was too strong for an E-ranked beast"

I thought as i looked at wolf who was looking at me with murderous glint in it's eyes.

<3RD PERSON POV>

Outside the human domain tens of kilometres away from the nearest human city, two beings were "facing off" against each other.

At least that's what would look like to a passerby if there were any.

There two were Gojo and red-furred two-husked wolf.

While wolf was looking at Gojo murderous glint in it's eyes on the other hand Gojo was looking at it with a smug smile.

Looking at the smug smile on Gojo's face, wolf lunged toward him while moving his claw in slashing motion.

But as if predicting the exact extend of the attacks range, Gojo took few steps in slower speed than wolf but somehow he came out unharmed.

Wolf looked confuse for a second before once again attacking Gojo with the same move thinking last dodge was just fluke.

"Didn't yo learned it previously that won't touch me"

Gojo spoke in a disappointed tone as if he was disappointed by the action of the wolf.

Gojo moved from his position in a equal speed to the wolf.

But this time instead of dodging the attack, he met up with the attack or so did the wolf thought but just before the clash Gojo suddenly moved away from the attack.

Letting the sharp claw of wolf to pass, Gojo streched his leg back abit and directly striked the wolf in it's gut.

The result was wolf was send flying away.

It took a few seconds before getting up, during which gojo was staring at it with his hand in his pocket.

"Oooooooooooooooowhoo!!"

Suddenly wolf's desperate howl was heard as the wolf infront of Gojo howled for support.

Seeing the action of the wolf infront of him, Gojo sprouted a grin as he looked around thirty five wolfs.

"Hehehe, this will be fun."
