"You guys were dissing me? Do you really have no shame?" Adeline clenched her jaw.
Abigail rolled her eyes. "You took him from me Adele—"
"You said that it was fine!"
"Do you expect me to tell you the truth? Use your head!"
"You said you couldn't be together because of your father!"
"Well it doesn't mean that I'll let him go. Erick just used you anyway."
"What?" Adeline clutched her dress.
Erick grabbed her wrist. "Wait! Let me explain—"
"I asked him to do all those things to you." Abigail smiled, folding her arms. "His feelings for you aren't genuine. It was all an act."
"You're lying!" Adeline covered her ears.
"We made a bet." Abigail patted her back. "If he makes you forget about Nicholas, then I'd get to have a night—"
"Is it true?" Adeline looked at Erick.
Erick nodded before looking away. "I-I'm sorry...but the way how I feel about you...it's all true!"
Adeline slapped his face. "Enough! You should've told me earlier that you liked someone else!"
"I-I... Abigail is just a—"
"Just a what?" Abigail shouted. "You told me that you loved me, not her!"
"Stop yelling," Adeline cried. "You don't have to worry cause Erick and I are over!"
"Adele..." Erick grabbed her wrist.
"I apologize for interrupting your night." Adeline started walking away. "I need some time alone."
(At Nicholas' apartment)
"I told you Jacob was right." Nicholas patted her back. "It's alright. I'm here."
Adeline poured herself a glass of wine before taking a sip. "Leave me alone. I don't want to talk to anyone."
"Stop drinking." Nicholas snatched the glass wine from her. "He's not worth it."
"Now that I've broken up with him, don't think that you have a chance."
"You didn't wanna let your parents know about it. Where else—"
"Bring me to Molly's place."
Nicholas shook his head. "It's either I'll bring you back to your parents or you're spending the night in my place."
"Fine then." Adeline leaned back on her chair. "But have a drink with—"
"I'm not letting you drink anymore. You know what might happen if you do."
"I don't give a damn about it! I'm not in the mood the quarrel with you!"
"Quarrel?" Nicholas smirked. "Drink as much as you want then...but don't blame me if I end up taking advantage of you, Adele. I warned you."
One drink led to them drinking to another and before he knew it, Adeline had the look of lust in her eyes, so without hesitation, Nicholas stood and grabbed her hand, directing her to the bedroom.
Nicholas then slowly unbuttoned her clothes as he started kissing her shoulder, running his lips on her skin towards her ear. He then turned her around, making them face each other. He stared into her eyes, running his fingers through her hair and gently guides her face closer to his, making her head rest in his chest.
"Do you know what you're doing?" Nicholas caressed her cheeks. "You're—"
Without even letting him finish what he was saying, Adeline abruptly wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled before gently brushing her lips against his.
As soon as Nicholas felt her soft lips on his, he instantaneously pulled her onto his lap, leaned down, and kissed her back.
Adeline was pulling him closer and he pushed her backward as her legs hit the bed. Adeline then landed on the bed before she was trapped between him and the bed.
"Erick..." Adeline smiled, cupping Nicholas' face. "D-Don't leave me..."
Hearing Erick's name, Nicholas clenched his fist before pushing her against the wall, holding her arms above her head.
"You dare call out another man when you're in bed with me?" Nicholas whispered. "That makes me wanna have you more to myself, Adele."
