Foresight

Princess Marie had gone stir-crazy inside the confines of the castle through the winter. 

For her entire life, it was as usual that she stayed put during cold weather so there was no risk of running into an accident due to icy weather or the health risks one faced when too cold. However, this winter felt different than normal because she constantly was on edge, waiting for a reply from the knight or wondering when she would see him next. 

She had lied to him, telling him that it was enough they communicate by letters when he couldn't come around but she was beginning to doubt the reality of that. As she felt more desperate, she started to push a little bit more in the letters, hoping that her efforts would result in a knight at her doorstep.

Her heart felt as icy as the weather outside and there was only one who was able to thaw it. In her bad mood, she refused to eat with her family and did all she needed to do from her room.
