(A-Train vs Shockwave Race)
The people who blinked at the wrong moment missed the race. Even if they had been paying close attention, they would barely have been able to make out two blurs, one blue and one orange.
Homelander, who was watching Butcher, was momentarily distracted by the starting gun for the race. Unlike ordinary people, he was able to see A-Train cross the finish line, leaving Shockwave behind.
When Homelander looked back in Butcher's direction, he was no longer there. Homelander was curious about who the man was and, if he wanted, he could find him. However, an ordinary human wasn't worth his valuable time, especially with the other event he had to attend that day.
The crowd went from excitement to intrigue, and so did the commentators. It required a high-speed camera to capture the winner.
After a moment, the big screen displayed an image of A-Train crossing the finish line ahead of Shockwave.
"The winner is A-Train! The fastest man in the world retains his title!!!"
Everyone in the stadium was thrilled.
Butcher met up with Hughie and Frenchie to head over to where MM had captured Popclaw.
"Hughie, Frenchie, stop eating, and let's go... before I vomit bile."
Hughie wanted to ask Butcher if something had happened, but Frenchie put his hand on his shoulder to interrupt him.
...
(Allen's Apartment)
While Butcher dealt with that, Allen had his own issues.
Upon waking, he found Kimiko asleep on his bed, though she kept her distance. It was as if she wanted to be close but still maintain some space from Allen. The deep scars on her heart and mind were not easy to heal; she still felt fear and distrusted everyone, making it hard for her to open up completely.
Allen looked at Kimiko. She should have been eager to search for her brother or perhaps seek revenge, but she hadn't mentioned it to Allen. Maybe she still didn't fully trust him or didn't want to involve him in her troubles.
Allen slowly got out of bed and let Kimiko sleep a little longer. He was going to join Butcher and Hughie at the A-Train race, so he took a shower. During this, Kimiko entered unannounced in her sleepwear. It could have been a funny or perhaps a perverted scene, but seeing her empty gaze, Allen covered her with a towel and dried her off.
Kimiko was half-asleep, perhaps recalling bad memories. The point was she stayed silent while Allen dried her hair and asked Bocchi and 2B to help her change clothes.
Bocchi had tears in her eyes upon seeing Kimiko's state, so she was more than willing to help.
Kimiko had seen the girls come and go before but she did not ask who they were. This time was no exception; she gave 2B a look, then Bocchi, and finally glanced at Allen, who smiled at her.
"Don't worry, they won't hurt you," said Allen gently.
"..." Kimiko made no gestures or sounds; she simply let them do as they wished.
Allen left the girls and went to the bathroom to change as he only had one towel on.
Ten minutes later, Kimiko was dressed in a white blouse, jeans, and her hair up.
'Hello,' said Kimiko through her mental connection with Allen as she raised her hand.
Allen let out a sigh of relief and approached Kimiko, placing a hand on her head. Kimiko looked at him without thinking or expressing anything, though she seemed confused about what Allen was doing.
"I'm glad you're feeling better..." he said as he patted her head.
Kimiko shivered at Allen's words and actions, then relaxed her shoulders that had been tense.
'You're a strange guy...'
Allen chuckled with a half-smile. "I'll take that as a compliment."
...
Allen left his room with Kimiko, planning to join The Boys at the A-Train race. However, his plans had to change when he heard Annie's furious screams from the living room.
Kimiko became alert, anticipating enemies. Allen entered quickly to find the lights flashing as Annie's hands glowed with light.
Annie was enraged.
"That son of a b*tch!!"
Allen didn't jump to conclusions. He placed a hand on Kimiko's shoulder; she turned, and Allen shook his head slightly. Kimiko understood and straightened up in silence.
Allen approached the blonde girl and found her watching a morning show featuring an interview with The Deep. The bastard seemed fully recovered from when Allen had smashed half his face.
"What's wrong, Annie?"
"Allen?!" Annie's eyes returned to normal, and she pointed at the screen with rage. "Allen, that bastard is back!"
Allen looked at the television.
This recovery should be impossible unless they use compound V to stimulate his healing, Allen snorted, 'Madelyn must be desperate to think of such a thing.'
– "Oh my God, it must have been terrible to see Starlight being taken away right in front of your eyes!" –
The presenter had a sad expression. Deep hung his head while clenching his jaw and reddening his eyes.
– "She was our new star, a hope for Vought's future... but that monster took her, kidnapped her, and I couldn't do anything!" The Deep knelt, pounding the ground in the middle of the interview. "I'm sorry, Starlight! I'm sorry I wasn't strong enough to prevent your tragic fate!" –
Deep started crying convincingly, and the presenter patted his back and then knelt to hug him.
Allen watched as Annie's eyes began to sparkle and the light bulbs started exploding. Allen pulled out his phone and called Butcher.
"I won't be able to make it to the race..."
"What?"
"Sorry, I have a problem..."
"I see... but I need you at Ezekiel's event."
"Yeah, don't worry."
Allen hung up and turned off the TV. When Annie turned around, mimicking Storm from the X-Men, Allen raised his hands in a gesture of surrender.
"Allen?..."
Annie regained her composure and deactivated her powers. Then she blushed upon seeing the results of her actions. Annie didn't know what to say and began to clean up the broken glass.
Allen watched her and then smiled. "Annie, what do you think about doing what I mentioned last time?"
The girl was momentarily confused. Understanding Allen's intentions, her lovely eyes lit up, and she jumped up and ran to Allen.
"Are you serious?!"
"Of course," Allen said confidently, crossing his arms and lifting his chin with arrogance. "However, you'll undergo some training beforehand to ensure you don't accidentally hurt anyone!"
"Yay!" Annie jumped like a teenage girl but quickly realized her embarrassing behavior and stopped.
"That's a great photo; I'll use it as a background image."
Allen laughed after taking a picture of Annie jumping with joy. The girl was even more embarrassed and started trying to snatch the phone from Allen, but he didn't let her.
Kimiko watched this with a slight expression of annoyance but didn't interrupt them.
Rebecca – 'Damn, it looks like it's started again hahaha~'
Artoria – 'Did you expect a different outcome after he brought two girls with him?'
Bocchi – '...' (Why not me...?)
Nokotan – 'I expected nothing less from Allen-tan... nun... However, it seems absurd that no girl has stabbed him by now... has the practice of beheading infidels gone out of fashion?'
2B – 'From what I understand (2B is the girl who has seen the most of Allen's memories)... the master is very honest about his relationships, so women should already know what they're getting into if they get involved with him... However, it seems there are no recorded cases of women who, after a long time living with him, don't develop feelings for him...'
The girls present fell silent upon hearing the last part.
...
New York is a densely populated place, no matter what world it's in. Allen discreetly pulled a car out of the system and took the girls for a drive around New York waiting for his spider-sense to awaken, allowing them to assist.
Of course, Allen started his stream; it would be a shame for everyone to miss Starlight's first time. She even wore her original superheroine costume.
Kimiko was the least interested in this and simply sat in the back, observing Allen in silence while occasionally glancing out the window.
She wore a modified leather suit of Natasha's, with a jacket over it and not as tight.
Natasha – Dear, you shouldn't have done that hee hee~. She'll be upset when she sees the original version~
[I.M] "Honestly, I didn't think about it much..."
When borrowing Natasha's Black Widow suit, Allen realized it would be too loose on Kimiko, both up top and below... it's not Kimiko's fault for being... slender, so Allen modified it with the system. He added accessories like a jacket and more tactical pockets to minimize the difference in curves compared to the original.
[I.M] "I will leave that problem to the Allen of the future..."
Kimiko felt Allen's gaze in the rearview mirror and tilted her head. Allen coughed and smiled.
"It's nothing, Kimiko..."
'...'
It wasn't long before Allen sensed danger. The place looked like a wholesale store for essentials, and Allen had to drive to the back where the loading and unloading area was.
At first glance, it seemed like a legitimate business, but at the entrance was a guard armed with an AK-47, a Kevlar vest, and a secondary 9mm pistol.
"That's a very well-armed guard for protecting boxes of paper and cotton swabs... besides, there isn't high crime in this part of Queens."
"P... of course," Annie added nervously, pretending to have thoroughly analyzed the situation. Kimiko had a vacant look.
Raven – I remember my first mission was complicated, and the thief escaped... even though I can fly... it's embarrassing.
Starfire – Hahaha, I destroyed a car while defeating a group of armed thugs.
Superman – Hahaha, that's nothing. Kara crashed through three buildings on her first day because she didn't know how to slow down in flight.
Kara – Kal-El!!
Barbara – *She's praying Batman doesn't say anything*
Diana – No one is perfect... Donna.
Donna – NOOOO!!
Harley – Wow, superheroes have it tough, and here I was worried about letting criminals escape after confusing them with pizza delivery guys HAHAHA
Ivy – That you did what?!!
Harley – Sh*t, Daddy help me!!
...
[Classic versions of waifus are like wine 🍷🗿]

...
Allen pretended not to see the last comments and steered his vehicle toward the entrance.
"Stop! This is a restricted area!"
Allen raised an eyebrow at the guard's military-like manner of speaking.
Rebecca – 'This guy smells like a mercenary!'
Allen didn't respond to the man and looked at Annie, who was wearing her superhero suit. It was like a white and gold version of Supergirl's suit, but Allen didn't comment on it.
Kara – I think I should sue someone...
Allen smiled and placed his hands on Annie's.
"W...what?!" She was surprised by this. She didn't understand why she felt so nervous with Allen when she was supposed to be trained to handle embarrassment even in front of crowds.
"Don't be scared. You don't have to be perfect. Remember, I'm here to cover up your mistakes, so give it your best, and remember that this is what you've wanted your whole life..."
Annie remained silent. Honestly, she had already given up. This world seemed like a farce built on lies. Superheroes compete on stages and social media, do commercials, act in movies, and appear on TV to promote whoever pays the most.
Annie had accepted this reality, but after meeting Allen and feeling great admiration, appreciation, and gratitude, she began to see what her ideal should have been. Yet, in her mind, she could never be a superhero. The main reason wasn't Vought's lies, but rather that she realized she had absolutely nothing that made her a superhero.
She felt that if she were on the streets, she could end up killing an innocent before saving one.
Annie's eyes filled with tears as she squeezed Allen's hand, then smiled. "Thank you."
Allen returned the smile in a touching moment. Unfortunately, this was The Boys.
"Ahhhhh!!"
A man's screams, followed by gunshots, alerted Allen.
(Annie has great potential 🗿)
...
Moments before, Kimiko observed their interactions silently, but the guard was not as patient as Kimiko and aimed his weapon at Allen.
Kimiko felt an uncontrollable mix of fear and anger upon seeing Allen in "danger." It was as if her rational side shut down, and she reverted to a wild beast.
She jumped out the open window with agile grace, wielding the new Vibranium claws created by Tony (Tony worked fast).
The guard didn't have time to react, and Kimiko pierced his stomach. He tried to draw his pistol and shoot Kimiko, but unfortunately, Kimiko's suit had also been modified by the system to be bulletproof and resistant to minor explosions.
Kimiko became enraged and began repeatedly stabbing the man. More armed men emerged from inside.
"Shit!!!"
"It's a super!!
"They've discovered us!!!"
Everyone started shooting at Kimiko, making her angrier, and she attacked them.
Kimiko used her claws to slit one of their throats.
"Uhhhg... hahkk!"
Another mercenary shot Kimiko in the back, but it had no effect. She leaped onto the man, grabbed his head, and twisted it one hundred eighty degrees.
The last mercenary decided to flee while distracting Kimiko with a flash grenade.
"Damn..." the mercenary cursed but suddenly fell to the ground, feeling intense pain in his leg. Upon checking, he found it was gone, and the pain intensified thirtyfold. "AAAHHHHHGG!!"
While screaming, he tried to understand how Kimiko had caught up with him so easily. As he saw her approaching with her claws dripping blood, he realized she had her eyes closed.
The mercenaries' agonizing screams as they were brutally killed left Allen and Annie in shock for a few seconds.
Felicia – Allen!
"Shit!" Allen reacted and got out of the vehicle.
...
Kimiko walked toward the manager's office, where three men and a woman. They were well-armed but nevertheless frightened.
Around Kimiko were several boxes stacked with bricks of white powder. This was a drug distribution center.
Allen appeared behind Kimiko to hold her. "Kimiko, it's me!"
"...!" Kimiko struggled until she heard a familiar voice.
Upon hearing Allen's voice, she calmed down and looked at him with a regretful and fearful expression, unsure why. She didn't want him to hate her or, worse, see her as a monster.
Allen hugged Kimiko. "Don't worry..."
Feeling Allen's warmth, Kimiko didn't need words to understand that her worries were unnecessary. It was subtle, but Kimiko smiled for the first time.
Carol – Does this happen often?
Tearju – Yes... you get used to it.
Maria Hill – We shouldn't, but we do get used to it...
Carol – ...
*Cough*
A bit jealous, Annie approached from behind. She was scared by the corpses, but seeing Allen and Kimiko flirting made that fear disappear, and she felt she was being overshadowed.
Brave Annie decided to prove her worth.
Annie looked around the office, the last of the armed criminals were there. Annie's inexperienced figure made everyone in the Chat feel that it would not end well.
Rick - I bet it's all going to explode *Burp*.
Gwen - that would make the most sense *she shrugged her shoulders*.
Felicia - I wouldn't blame her.
MJ - It would even be better if she failed, then she'd understand how hard it is, we all fail sometimes.
...
(In front of Popclaw's apartment)
Butcher, Hughie, Frenchie, and MM watched the screen in disbelief. Popclaw had also injected the Compound V.
Allen hadn't joined them, but when Hughie texted him about MM discovering something important, Allen sent a camera to monitor them and stream the situation occasionally. This was to prevent a guy from dying without reason unless something changed with the canon.
Popclaw seemed to be in a state of excitement and aggression as she lifted weights.
Everyone noticed she was a bit different from how A-Train appeared after using Compound V, leading Butcher to think the effect might vary with each superhero.
Amidst this, someone knocked on the woman's door. She opened it to find her landlord wanting to collect the rent. She smiled provocatively and invited him in.
Hughie received a message from Allen. "Hughie, remember what happened with A-Train..."
Upon reading this, Hughie left the van and started climbing the stairs to Popclaw's apartment.
The heartbroken woman, under the effects of Compound V, invited the man to hang out. He seemed reluctant, but she seduced him, and he ended up accepting.
Everything happened as in the canon, with her sitting on the man's head, and amid excitement, she didn't gauge her strength.
Hughie burst in just before the man's head was crushed.
"Who are you?!" Popclaw screamed, backing away. Perhaps acting in movies made her forget she was a superhero, as she initially showed no hostility.
Popclaw was frightened, but Hughie ignored her and approached the man, who had several broken teeth, a deviated septum, and was bleeding from his ears.
"Shit, that was close!" exclaimed Hughie, relieved.
"Oh my God!" Popclaw looked horrified as she nearly killed her landlord.
She glanced at Hughie and felt an impulse to kill him or her career would be over. A bone spike protruded from her wrist like a rooster's spur.
"Calm down, sweety," Butcher laughed as he entered.
Popclaw's courage vanished, and she became nervous. "Who are you?!"
"I wouldn't scream like that if I were you," Butcher said with a disturbing smile, showing his phone with a video of Popclaw injecting Compound V and nearly killing someone. "We ask The questions, Hehehe."
Rogue – Butcher seems more of a villain than the villains themselves...
Ruby – This doesn't look very legal, to say the least.
Nikky – I'm surprised he can go about life with a face that says 'I'll stab you' without getting arrested...

A/N: Technically I didn't lie, if it was Annie's first time 🗿
