2. A Chance Encounter

Xavier is tapping on the steering wheel with his index finger as he waits inside his car, eyeing the elevator in front of him like a predator. He's supposed to meet the notorious casino owner of city D as the Owner of XWT, the largest IT company in the country and one of the fastest growing companies in Asia but little did the public know that Xavier initially created that company 3 years ago as a facade for his cover on an ongoing mission to root out an organization that has been threatening the national security of the country and funny how it prospered beyond their expectations which helped in establishing a pretty good cover for him. He goes by the name 'King' in the business world, the exact translation of his last name which also suits his reputation and his company that is slowly dominating some decade-old businesses. But aside from that, no further information was available about him, atleast not the factual ones. They've planted some false information to support his undercover name.

He let out an impatient sigh as he put on a black baseball cap on his head, he had changed his suit into casual clothes when he got a tip from the government's spy in the hotel that there was a ruckus on the floor where Mr. Willis is at. Surely it would put him on edge for some time and he predicted that there is a chance that even if he's able to subdue the trouble, he would still flee and will be wary with the people around him.

Mr. Willis is involved with something illegal after all so since he's near the hotel already, Xavier decided to tail him personally instead. He doesn't want to wait for a long time again to trap him.

He is calmly loading some bullets on his gun's magazine when he noticed a commotion in front of him, some burly men on black suits were running around the undeground parking lot. They were panting while scouring every nook and cranny of the area, he identified some of them as Mr. Willis bodyguards.

'It looks like they're running after someone' Realizing that half of his security detail is downstairs, leaving the guy vulnerable. He decided to check on him and carefully opened the door but before he could step out of his car someone had opened the door on the passenger's seat and barged in.

"Ooooh lucky me!" the girl beside him said while chuckling. He couldn't make out her face at first, her hair is damp with sweat and is covering her features but when she gathered her hair and tied it up on a messy bun, his adams apple involuntarily bobbed, his heart skipping a beat.

looking at her side profile with her cheeks flushing red from running, Xavier got lost in his thought. He's trying to figure out why he reacted to this girl abnormally. He had seen countless of beautiful women but this lady for some unknown reason top the list when he doesn't even have one, he never spared them some thought before. This is the first and it's making him feel uncomfortable.

Something about this girl screams familiar but he can't explain how.

"she must be somewhere! we're not leaving this place until we find her!"

He snapped out his reverie when he heard one of those guards commanded his subordinates.

"what are you doing here?" he asked with a creased forehead. the girl turned her head on his direction with a surprised look on her face.

"I'm sorry I had my head down, I didn't know someone was inside." she said with an apologetic smile.

His eyes twitched when she said she didn't noticed him when he's been sitting in this small space the whole time but when she smiled, here goes his heart again. Xavier can't help but to stare, she has these bright almond-shaped eyes above her dainty nose, he could see a hint of mischief on them which made her more charming and those lips...

As if the universe was listening to his silent cry, the girl suddenly moved near him. her face is just a few inches from his.

"Mr. handsome, I need your help." she said with a hint of seduction on her tone, her breath fanning his face.

Xavier was still looking at her full sensual lips when he asked "Woman do you know what you're doing?" he exclaimed in a low tone, grabbing one of her arms with not much of a force in order to avoid hurting her, he pulled her closer. he's been suppressing this strong urge to kiss this woman he just met less than 10 mins ago and she keeps on testing his restraint.

"Honey look, I'm not some pervert okay?someone is trying to peek through your tinted window and I happened to be playing hide and seek with them." She said while playing with the tip of his hair just above his nape, letting her arm rest on his shoulder as she hooked it around his neck.

Xavier should be curious about why she's here, why these people are looking for her and more importantly he has more pressing matters to attend to like Mr. Willis but he keeps on being drawn to those luscious lips instead and the next second all his self-control just flew out the window as he bowed down to capture her lips with his while pulling her into his embrace.
