"I am glad to hear that you like the present"

The young woman in milk colored strapped cowl short dress walked into the villa with her friend. She was wearing a long sleeves cropped sweater on the top which matched with her ankle boots high heels color.

"Welcome back, Miss Bailey" the two maids greeted with smiles as Bailey only nodded at them. "Your house is pretty" Mia spoke with a grin. Her eyes were exploring the whole villa. "Thanks, but this is not my house. My parents are the owners"

Mia chuckled lightly. "Ofc, I know" she said and stepped into the living room with her friend. "Hey!" Roman stood up from the lounge and walked near to his girlfriend. "Hi, Miss Mia" Roman greeted with a smile as he held Bailey's hand.

"Hello" Mia smiled and looked at Roman's hand which was holding tightly on Bailey's hand. 'Does he think I am going to take his girlfriend away from him?' the young woman rolled her eyes in disbelief and sighed tiredly.

"Oh! Did you call your brother too?" Bailey suddenly questioned and looked at the young man who was sitting on the lounge. "Oh, hello" the man stood up from the lounge as an awkward smile was seen on his face.

"Dean?"

Mia furrowed her brows. Her eyes locked with Dean's eyes as they stared into each other eyes without uttering a word. Bailey frowned and faked a cough, pulling the two back from drowning in each other eyes.

"I thought you would not come" Bailey said and looked at Dean who was smiling with flushed face. Actually, Dean did not plan to celebrate Bailey's birthday. But his brother called him and told him that Bailey was picking Mia up from the villa.

Making Dean change his decision in a second. It was when his heart started racing like drums and got up from the seat to get ready. He quickly hung up the phone and took a shower, wearing a milk colored sweater with black pants.

"Yea, I just don't want to be rude so I came. Here! The birthday present" Dean handed the bag with a smile. He admitted that he chose that present with the help of his brother. Since he had no clue with giving presents to the girls.

"Thanks" Bailey smiled and accepted the bag. "Let's eat" Bailey spoke and went into the dining room as her boyfriend followed her like a dog. Leaving Mia and Dean in the living room. "Umm, hi. It is been awhile" Mia smiled at the man.

Feeling awkward.

"Yea. It is been awhile" Dean replied with a smile as his ears reddened. "Let's go" Mia spoke. "Yea" Dean nodded in agreement and stepped into dining room. "Where are the birthday candles?" Bailey furrowed her brows, her eyes were searching for candles.

"Here!" Mia who walked into the dining room with Dean, spoke and seized the birthday candles which were covered under the plastic. "Thanks" Bailey smiled and took the candles from her friend. "Give me the lighter" Bailey spoke as Roman handed the lighter to her.

Bailey lighted the candles, ready to start the birthday party. "Alright, someone please turn the light off" Roman said as the maid closed the light of the living room. They all went back to the living room after placing the food and drinks on table.

"Happy Birthday to you.. Happy Birthday to you.. Happy Birthday dear Bailey.. Happy Birthday to you!" everyone in the living room started singing the birthday song as Roman held the cake carefully, making sure not to drop it.

"Happy birthday!" everyone whooped and clapped with smiles on their faces, making Bailey grinned happily. "Turn on the light!" one of the maids ran towards the switch to open the light again. "Alright! I am going to feed my Mia first!"

Bailey shouted.

Her words made Roman furrow his brows in displeasement. "Wait, is that really ok though?" Mia raised her eyebrow, feeling uncomfortable with the situation. "It is fine!" Bailey spoke and raised the spoon near to the young woman's mouth.

"Umm thanks" Mia awkwardly smiled and took a bite of the cake. Then Bailey fed her boyfriend. "You can eat by yourself right?" Bailey handed the plate of cake to Dean, not wanting to feed him because it was uncomfortable for her.

Dean who understood the meaning of her words, nodded with a smile. "Yes" he grabbed the plate and took a bite. "Great.. sit everyone" Bailey smiled as they four sat down on the lounge. "Here! This is for you all"

Bailey handed the cake to the maids to eat in the dining room with others. She bought two cakes for everyone in the villa. "Thank you, Miss Bailey!" the girls grinned and held the cake. They all went into the dining room, leaving the four in the living room.

Mia sat down beside Bailey as Roman sat at the right side of his girlfriend. Dean was sitting beside Mia. There were a few inches between their spaces. Because he did not want to make the young woman uncomfortable.

"Is wine ok?"

Bailey questioned and seized the glass from the table. "I am fine with it" Roman answered with a stone face and took a glass from his girlfriend. "I know, I am asking my Mia and your brother" Bailey spoke as Roman rolled his eyes.

They two were arguing like kids. Mia chuckled at the couple who were having a silent war. The young woman smiled and shook her head. "Umm I don't think I can drink wine. Because I can get drunk just with two glass"

Mia awkwardly smiled as Dean silently noted her words in his mind. "Oh, then you can drink juice! Someone please bring me the juice!" Bailey shouted, asking for the juice for her friend. "How about you, Dean?"

Bailey asked and raised her eyebrow. "Umm, I will also take juice" he replied with a smile. "Well, as you like" Bailey shrugged and poured the wine into her glass and her boyfriend's glass. Not forcing the young man to drink wine.

One of the maids walked out of the dining room with the bottle of juice and two glass. She handed the glass to the man as Dean thanked her and accepted it with a smile. Then the maid went back to the dining room after placing the juice bottle on the table.

"Here!"

Dean handed the glass of juice to the young woman. Mia smiled and seized the glass. "Thanks" then the silence covered the living room. "Ok! Why are you we just sitting and drinking like mute persons?" Bailey broke the silence and placed the glass onto the table with a frown.

She was upset about the awkward silence in the living room. "What do you want us to do?" Mia furrowed her brows and asked. "Well, say something like your hobbies or what is happening in your life right now"

Bailey shrugged, ready to listen to whatever her friend say. "Umm, why are you all looking at me? Do I have to say?" Mia frowned when the three stared at her without blinking. Roman nodded. "Yes, you don't speak about yourself usually"

Bailey said and stared at her friend. Causing Mia to sigh tiredly. "Well... I am going to open a fashion shop" it was when the living room fell into the silence. It was a huge silence which was awkward for the young woman. "WHAT?!"

Bailey shouted in disbelief. "Did you just say you are going to work?!" she questioned with disbelief written on her face. "Yes" Mia furrowed her brows, why was her friend reacting like that? As if she just saw a ghost talking to her.

"Did sun rise from west today?!"

Bailey spoke and turned around, asking her boyfriend in disbelief. Dean just sat beside the young woman with a stone face, he was clueless. Roman shook his head with a frown. "No" he answered as Bailey faced her friend.

"Young woman, you were the one who stopped talking with everyone including your parents and me because your parents forced you to work. And now you are saying you are going to open a fashion shop? A freaking fashion shop?!"

Bailey asked with furrowed eyebrows. Mia smiled awkwardly. "Well, I changed my mind. I want to work" the young woman's words made Bailey eyes widened in disbelief. She knew her friend well. She knew that her friend did not like to work.

She had seen how her friend disliked to work. But now her friend was saying she wanted to work. Did someone force her to work? Or did she actually change her mind so easily? "Did uncle Theo and aunty Camilla force you?"

Bailey questioned with a frown. Not wanting to believe the young woman's words. Mia chuckled in amusement. "No, ofc not! I just want to work" she spoke and swallowed the food. "Wow, my friend has changed"

Bailey murmured.

"That's cool. I am going to buy at your shop only from now on" Dean suddenly said with a smile, supporting the young woman. Mia faced the man and chuckled lightly in satisfaction. "Thanks Dean" she said with a smile.

Dean gulped. Whenever this young woman call his name, his heart begin to make strong and fast rhythm. Completely making him insane. Dean smiled and broke the eye contact when he could feel the heat growing inside him.

His face flushed as his ears reddened. Making the young woman stared at him with a confused face. "Are you not feeling well?" Mia questioned with worries written on her face. The couple was talking to each other.

They did not interrupt the young woman and young man. Dean lowered his head and facepalmed himself to hide his reddened face from the young woman. "I am fine" he murmured and tried to calm himself down.

Mia furrowed her brows and stared at the young man in confusion. "Can you please look at me?" she spoke and tilted her head. Her question made Dean bit his lower lip, not wanting to show his reddened face. But how could he refuse her request?

Dean slowly looked up at the young woman. But as he looked up at her, Mia's hand reached to his forehead quickly, causing his eyes to widen in surprise. They two locked their eyes as the young woman tested his temperature.

"No fever"

Mia spoke under breath.
