Battle in the Mountain Range

Now full of power, Xiaofeng sat up and walked out of the house. It was already night time and all disciples were either practising or doing some stuff that's not suitable for children.

He walked to a far away place from the residence of the Xiao family and walked towards the Black Mountain Range. This Enormous Mountain Stretches across several states in the Yang Country. He walks around the outer periphery of the forest and looked around beasts of Black Stone Stage.

Unlike Cultivators, beasts of the Thousand Desolate Continent automatically cultivate and refine Qi energy. It can reach the Spiritual realm with enough time and the speed of improvement depends on the bloodline. The stronger the bloodline, the faster the refining and the progress. They store their essence into a special kind of stone called the Qi Stone which is like the heart of the monster beast.

Beasts realm can be identified by the color of the Qi stone formed in its body. If the Stone is Black, it is in Qi refining Stage and yellow, red, blue ,green and purple represents the next realms upto the Spiritual Realm. Monsters above spiritual realm can sublime its body essence and can transform into human form.

Further Cultivation of these Lord Level and above monsters depends on earth and heavenly treasures.Bloodline also plays a vital part as realm increases.Some beasts will only be Lord level in their entire Lifetime because of poor bloodline.

As Xiaofeng recollected the thoughts about the beasts of this world, suddenly a shadow from a pit near the tree pounced on him. As he hurriedly concentrated his energy and goes to his peak time, the scenes in front of him slowed down. He saw a rat with huge ears and two canine teeth attacking him with this razor sharp claws and teeth.

He slightly moved leftwards to dodge the attack and the creature's claws landed on the near by tree, creating a huge slash mark.

"It's a sabre toothed rat ... and by the looks of it, it is not yet fully grown. But, judging by the power just now, it has the cultivation base equivalent to Qi Refining 7th Layer"

After dodging for some time, he decided to finish the beast and used the basic combat technique of the Xiao family, the one fist technique. A slight glow formed on his right hand as he fisted the rat with all his power. The rat's body was broken by the fist and it's internal bones were shattered and died instantly.

Xiaofeng looked at the beast as he contemplated about the fight

"Even though i am more powerful than the beast, my moves were too wasteful and the technique of the xiao family only exerted one third of my power. It seems i have to get some top techniques from the Mall"

After browsing the System Mall for a while, he selected three Top grade Mortal combat techniques, a top grade storage ring, a top grade defensive vest, a top grade sword and a top grade belt which can hide his cultivation base from even Peak Qi Transformation stage experts.

" I improved too much this time. Now i am confident that no one in the Qi Refining will be my opponent and i can even fight against the early stage levels of Qi Point Realm experts . As for whether to beat them, i can only try and find it out."

He stopped running and slowly explored the surrounding area. With his realm, it is too dangerous to run rampant in this layer of forest. As he slowly walked towards the stream, he saw two wild iron tail boars resting on the side of the stream. The redstone on their forehead clearly indicates the realm and from the brightness of the stone, he inferred that the two boars would be around 2nd and 3rd Level of Qi point realm

"One at 2nd and 3rd level .. it is just perfect for me to test my limit"

Xiaofeng clenched his fist as he readied for the battle
