Unexpected Meeting at Night

Two days after Georgina's parents came into the mansion, they didn't come back or contact them again. Her mother never called on the phone or make someone spy on her like usual.

Everything went back to normal, but now Henrick's parents were both busy with their business. They have an out of the country business to do with some of their investor so she's alone in the vast mansion and barely encounters the maids.

All day, she did nothing either sit or lie on the bed. She has no plan to go back to school and decided on a home school set-up. The thing happened at the campsite and those videos spread online gives a tremendous impact; she doesn't have confidence to show up or explain herself. It's so exhausting to do when she knows no one will believe.

It's past 10 o'clock in the evening, but she can't sleep. She went down, heading towards the mansion garden. Compare to last time, there's a round rattan hanging chair on the left side which is 5 meter away from where she stands and 10 meter from the shabby room that seems like a storeroom. On the other side, after walking a few steps, she saw a pavilion not too far away from her position. There're a lot of flowers and a pond around it. She didn't see it before because it's too dark and has many people inside. Besides, before she can take another step, an unnecessary encounter between those two people in heat happened.

Georgina walk towards the pavilion while looking around. It's a wide garden with a variety of fresh flowers. It feels like a garden in heaven. On a small pond, there's even a fish inside. Everything is mesmerizing for her. She can't believe that there's someone who can build such a palace like house. After looking at every corner of the garden, she sit down and calm herself. The weather is great, there are many stars and the full moon is bigger and shinier than its usual size.

Until now, she's in a dilemma because of Henrick's words two days ago. He becomes busier than any other day and barely goes home. That's why they didn't see each other. It also gives her time to think, but she can't decide.

Another silence came over the area. Only the cicadas' cries can hear all over the place. Few minutes passed when she heard a footstep. She's about to look behind but saw Henrick standing in front with a guitar case on the back. They stare at each other for a moment before she look away.

"W-what are you doing here?" She asked.

"The maid told me you're here. It's late at night. Why are you still awake?" He asked before putting down the guitar case and sit across her direction.

"W-well, I can't sleep."

"Did you eat?"

"Hmm... I eat my breakfast, lunch and dinner on time. Try asking the maids if you want an evidence."

"Good."

A silence remains between them after those awkward conversations. She looks at him straight in the face, but he's looking somewhere. It's been two days, but he looks exhausted.

"Do you want to take a walk outside?" He asked, glancing towards her.

"You seem tired,"

"You look bored."

They stare to each other but in the end Georgina couldn't say no and come with him.

Both of them leave the house and walk somewhere Georgina doesn't know. She's still not familiar with the place where the mansion was. It's like a villa only for rich people. Those houses around are all big and elegant to look than an average big houses. Amidst of her busy eyes, she didn't know that they reach the main road and now walking in the roadside. The silence turns to loud noises comes from those vehicles that passed by. Besides, there are some people or group of people they encounter.

She continues to follow Henrick's lead, not even asking where they are going. After a long walk, they reach a busy town. It's different from other places they passed by before. The town is glistening from the lights displayed around. There are many people and stalls that sell a variety of foods and accessories. She can also see some pub and boutique.

"What are you doing? Come closer to me or else I'll lost sight of you," Henrick said, looking behind where she stands.

"Y-yeah, sorry."

They continue to walk again until Georgina saw a vendor selling a mooncake. It's her favorite. Without hesitation, she grabs Henrick's hand with full of anticipation.

"What?"

"A-ah... Buy me a mooncake... It's there and seems like only two pieces left. Hurry." She pulled him towards the vendor, but a woman came first and bought a piece. But luckily, there's another piece left, the last one. Her eyes glimmers with the sight of it.

"I-I'll buy it/ I'll buy it,"

The glimmers in her eyes faded as soon as she heard another voice. She looks beside them and saw Kiela Fuentes, who's standing behind her was Giovanni, which made her shocked but still maintain calm.

"I came first, so back off," Georgina said. "Give the last piece to me, sir."

"No. Give it to me. It's clear that I came here first and you're a second late..."

Both of them give a death glare to each other. Even the vendor can't help but look back and forth.

"What? Find something else you can eat. This is mine."

"I said it's mine. Van, you saw everything, right? Tell her I came here first."

Giovanni looks at her position before looking beside which Henrick stands.

"Kiela came first, back off and buy something else." He said with those emotionless tones.

"W-what? I come here first and waited for the other customer to be done. How come you got here ahead of me?"

"Kiela likes mooncakes more than you do. Give it to her. Let's buy something else." Henrick said that surprise Georgina. She looks at him with disbelief, clenches both fists in anger.

"H-Henrick? What are you doing here with Gina?" Kiela asked in surprise.

"It's a long story. I'll fill you up the details soon but n—"

"What a bullsh*t?!!" Georgina push him away out of madness before running away with tears on the eyes.

"H-hey, where do you think you're going? Argh!" He said full of frustration while looking in the direction where she run. "You can have it Kiela, let's talk some other time."

After saying those words, he runs after her, but the woman vanishes in a flash of light. She's good at running but have worst temperament. He shuffle his hair and run from one place to another but he didn't see even her shadow.

Half an hour passed. After searching for so long, he came into a child's playground which is a hundred meter away from where she left. Compared to the town, this place is dark and silent. There's no people walking around, but he still walks inside and search for her. She's not on the swing slides or sitting somewhere in the place. He's about to walk back but heard a sob inside the concrete tunnel. As soon as he came, she saw her sitting inside, hugs both limbs and buried her face on knees.

"Hey, don't throw a tantrum. I'm already tired but..." He stop for a moment and heave a sigh. "I'll buy you tons of it tomorrow. Stop crying now and get outside."

She didn't move or speak, rather answer him with a sob.

"I saw an ice cream store nearby. I'll buy some for you... Don't you want it?"

Georgina glance to him with swollen eyes from crying too long. He lent his hand to her and it took a few seconds before she accepted it and go outside the concrete tunnel. A sigh of relief escaped from Henrick's mouth before he wipe her tears away using the sleeves of his sweater.

"Why did you act so rude towards Kiela? She's a kind woman."

"S-She's the most annoying and ugly woman I've met. I hate her." Henrick frown on what she said but restrains himself from getting worked up. He's not in a mood to start a fight with her.

"Fine. I get it." He said. "Let's buy an ice cream,"

Instead of letting her follow him again, he holds her hand tight in case she runs away again. She never says a word, rather walking with face down.

They came into the ice cream store after a few minutes of walk. Even if it's late at night, there are still many people inside. Most of them are teenager like them who's hanging out. Henrick finds a place near the wall made with glass and lets Georgina wait there while he's buying some ice cream.

"Oh, Henrick, we run into each other again." He almost jump in shock when someone talk behind and saw Kiela with Giovanni.

"K-Kiela..."

"Are you still with Gina?"

"A-ah..."

He's about to answer her but they heard a loud breaking sound of glass as the gasps becomes louder. Both of them look in the same direction and saw an unexpected thing to happen.

"V-Van..."
