I'm in Hyrule? - A Zelda Fanfic.

Our main character is reincarnated into a Breath of the Wild/ Tears of the Kingdom mashup—lots of progressive strengthening of MC, possibly a sprinkle of r18 / romance. I can guarantee the story will get better as my writing skills improve. I am also going back and updating older chapters. I encourage all readers to give the first ten chapters a try!

I have hit a roadblock.

Now I was done with my arsenal, I direct my attention to my magic, attempting to make a spell for the fire and water elements, respectively.

My lightning is on another level compared to my other elements, and I want to shore up fire and water by developing spells for them.

While I could just freehand the magic, it is much more powerful and efficient to repeatedly practice manipulating mana in a certain way, using spells.

Currently, my Lightning grasp is the only spell I possess, and that is why my lightning magic is so much more powerful than my fire and water.

But with every attempt at making new spells, after a certain point when I'm really cementing the spell, I reach some kind of mental barrier, and my mana rapidly drys up.

After an intense training session, I seek guidance from Uncle Rhoam, and ask my teacher if he knew anything about why my progression has slowed.

His answer is disappointing, "I wish I could teach you more about your powers, Arjon, but I am not a sage. You will have to figure out how to best use your elemental abilities on your own. My training will provide you with battle experience and teach you weapon techniques, toughening your body and mind."

After a few days of contemplation and further attempts to make new spells, I make the decision to go on a trip outside of the twenty-mile radius around the hill I usually stay in, going deeper into the sealed canyon. Now I just need to convince the sadist old man to let me go.

When Rhoam walks in, I launch a vicious attack. "Dinner tonight is Spicy Meat and Seafood Fry, your favorite! Oh, let me get that chair for you; I'll play that song you like on my guitar!"

"It's about damn time you started treat'in me right, boy," Rhoam says, settling into his chair.

After a dinner of pampering Rhoam I propose the subject of a short journey to find a way to break through these roadblocks, "soooooo, I was thinking... mayyyybe I could go on a short trip outside of camp, to figure out what's going on with my mana blockage situation?"

His answer catches me off guard, "About damn time you asked, boy, I packed you a backpack."

"Please, it'll just be a couple of nights and... wait, I can?"

"Yeah, I saw you pacing around here. I know you'd just sneak out if I didn't let you go anyway. More importantly, I need a fucking nap."

I give the foulmouthed old man a hug and happily say, "Thank you, Uncle Rhoam, I probably won't die!"

The next morning I set out with a backpack full of food, bullets, and my small guitar and receive a final pep talk from my teacher,

"While there aren't any monsters in the valley, there are beasts that have grown older and larger than they should have due to the mana-rich environment and herbs. If you see something that looks like it could fuck you up, use your whip thing-"

"Throngler," I add.

"Use your whip thing to climb a tree and run away. One last thing, if you see a big black monster, just pray to Hylia and play dead." Rhoam finishes.

"That's not foreshadowing at all," I say as I wave goodbye to my Uncle and run into the forest.

My movement is slowed by my backpack, but I am still able to move through the forest my usual way, by jumping from branch to branch on the treetops and utilizing the Throngler to make aid in certain jumps.

I'm not able to go full spider man with the Throngler yet, it's only ten feet long, and when I tried to move only by swinging with it, it drained my mana very fast.

I don't forget to make sure to leave markings in the trees to find a way back home once I'm done with my trip.

The trees in the forest grow bigger and bigger the farther I get from my little hilltop meadow home. The massive old oaks' canopy blocks out the sun, creating beautiful beams of light that occasionally split through the leaves.

I don't think that canopy would be so pretty in the night though, so I look for shelter, finding a crevice in a large maple.

Camping out in this tree takes me back to my days at the oasis. I wonder if it's completely overrun by bokoblins now? That would be sad, but once I'm done with this training arc, I can go back and fuck em up.

I take out my guitar after plugging up the hole into the little space inside of the tree and softly start plucking out the notes to a song in the flickering lamplight.

-The song-

After a night of playing guitar and being in my feels, I get some sleep and set out in the morning following the sound of a distant waterfall.

What better way to unlock cool water powers than to meditate under a waterfall?

Following the noise, I eventually reach a river, where I take a break and make a rudimentary fishing pole with some twine, a long stick, and a few grubs under a log.

I catch a few fish, then continue upstream, and late in the afternoon, I eventually find the waterfall.

The location would definitely be a tourist attraction back on Earth, steep cliffs surround a little alcove with the waterfall and river flowing down the middle.

Inside the alcove, there is a grove of blooming Sakura trees and large rock formations, there is also a large cave entrance, which I will probably explore, but right now, my attention is locked on a bright white object sitting on the riverbed.

Approaching the white object, I see that it is... a ball of fluff?

I poke the fluff with my fishing pole and am surprised to see that it stands up and... starts barking at me?

Double digits babyyyyy!
