Chapter 1

In an edge of a mountain, a thousand meter drop cliff where Song Jia was, blue sky, swaying green grasses and a meadow of flowers that spread wonderous fragrance along the wind, was what she was currently seeing, similar to those paintings she often saw in some famous galleries, but a pity, she doesn't have the leisure to admire such view at the moment.

She was currently caught up in the midst of evading her pursuers and searching for a particular flower while at it, it was a flower that might never even exist but she believes in its existence, as after all these time her researches had proven the traces of the flower and how it thrives among the passage of time which had finally led her here. If she couldn't find it in time then her 10 years worth of research would be all just for naught!

She rummaged along the grasses and patches of flowers to find the plant, never minding whether she gets dirty or not. While she was in the middle of searching for the flower noises suddenly erupted from somewhere not too far from her.

--Sh*t! They actually managed to follow me here?!

Well now it could be said that dirt was really not such a priority at this moment as obviously time was not on her side. She immediately thought of ways on how to escape if she ever failed to manage to find the flower in the area. She hastily looked around, hoping to find it before they could find her.

--Ah! Please! Just let me find it faster... It should be around here somewhere... Please... Please...

Then as if the heavens have heard her silent pleas she suddenly got a glimpse of an absurd-looking flower, being the only super ordinary looking among the meadow, it was too ordinary looking that its baffling. It was as if the petals and leaves of the flower were blending among its surroundings, almost making it invisible, it would truly be hard for any normal person to distinguish it amongst the others, yet anyone who had their abilities awaken that laid their eyes on it could still feel the super slight presence it emits making it different compared to the others. As if it was some kind of glitch in a system if you looked closely!

--Ah! How could nobody find this after all those years?! Nevermind! at least she finally found it! Nothing matters most at this moment! Ahahahahaha!

Without much second thought, she hurriedly brought out a small wooden box, a size just enough for the plant to fit in, the wooden box came from the pouch that was on her hips. She then carefully pluck the plant until to it's very root and immediately put it inside the box carefully, making sure that all of its parts were intact and not damaged.

--Ooh! This could earn me more merits than I would expect! Ah! What a find! It actually exist!!

After seeing the fruits of all her efforts through the years, she couldn't help but silently heave a huge sigh of relief, finally she have achieved her lifetime goal! She still couldn't believe it even after she had put it inside the box.

--Ugh... Just to be sure... let's check it again!

And she opened the box to check if its content was still there.

--Ah! It truly truly is here! Ahahahahahaha!

As tears were threatening to pour down from her eyes due to how glad she is at the moment she had decided to first leave the area in case her pursuers caught up to her and was readying herself to leave the mountains the fastest as possible when she suddenly heard voices along with some footsteps nearing her.

"Hah! So you actually manage to obtain the plant!"

A glint of coldness flashes from the depths of her eyes but disappeared without waiting for anyone to see it, her expression remain calm without any ripple to be seen, yet no one knew how sweaty her palms are at the moment.

--Ah! How am I gonna escape now?! How perfect were their timing! Ugh!

She watches as the person that just arrived slowly and arrogantly neared her.

"Such a pity... after going through all that pain and effort you won't be able to put the plant in use" mockery laced his voice with a sneer hanging within his lips. Disdain can be seen within his eyes while he's staring directly at Song Jia.

"To actually manage the elder to personally come and check this little young and powerless miss, it's such an honor ain't it?" Song Jia rebuked the man with her voice full of sarcasm, her eyes emitting coldness tenfold than before.

"How insolent! Hand me over the flower." His face suddenly turned dark and his voice was filled with murderous intent, his body giving off pressure to anyone within a 100 meters around him.

"Oh, and what if I don't?" Song Jia clearly felt the elder's pressure, her breathing became slightly unstable yet she still replied to the man indifferently as if nothing in this world can enter her eyes. She stood calmly in her place as if not caring for whoever was in front of her.

The man was one of the elders of the organization that she was working in, it is an organization which conduct researches for the improvement of the medicinal industry and particularly specialized with the needs of the awakeners. She worked hard and did her best for the organization, she thought the boss was satisfied with all the accomplishments she achieved for them and yet there is an elder here emitting killing intent towards her, and has a bunch of sidekicks along with him and if you looked closely to the badges and uniforms of these extras, it seemed to looked like they are the rumored 18th Seith Battalion of the Specialized Forces of the Organization responsible for the 'Clean Up'! Just what is the meaning of this? Even a fool could figure out what's the situation is at the moment!

--At this moment I don't know if I should get frustrated, angry or proud now that I knew which forces this elder brought with him, like at least he didn't brought the lowest among lowest of ranks in the Special Forces but it also mean that escaping must be hard sigh...

With this thought her gaze became even sharper than before.

The man's face turned darker, the temperature within the area abruptly decreases, it's so cold that the man's subordinates are having difficulty in breathing.

Song Jia too felt the change within the atmosphere, she felt an immense pressure weighing all over her body, cold sweat trickled down behind her back soaking her favorite shirt.

Her feet being imprinted in the ground leaving behind a heavy mark. Thin cracks could be seen appearing below her due to the pressure, her breathing became haggard, bones cracking could be heard, she felt pain. She felt pain all over her body.

--Ah! This is much more harder than I expected!

She felt the need to cry but lack the tears to do so, maintaining her stance despite her legs giving in, she face the man as if nothing was the matter, you could not even see a tiny speck of change in her emotion, anyone seeing her at the moment would sure be dumbstruck. How could a body like that hold a pressure from a senior master?!

Seeing how the girl was doing fine despite unleashing 20 percent of his strength! The elder became enraged, The thought of shredding the girl into thousands-no! Millions of pieces entered his mind.

I'll shred you to pieces until nothing of you remains in this world! And when it happens let's see if you won't beg me to death!- He thought.

"You dare?!" After the last words left the man's mouth, he signaled the several experts he brought with him to attack the damnable wench

"Dismember this b*tch! Leave without a piece intact!"

Without wasting time the men in black attack Song Jia from every sides. Guns and daggers glisten beneath the moonlight adding eeriness towards the scene.
