Horns For You!

Quick but light running came from behind.

Then grabs on his horns, yanking him around. "Hey, Izuku! What's cracking? You about to burn up some people or what."

Izuku was naturally getting bullied by these kids. Though it doesn't seem like it, all of what they say is to annoy Izuku, and it did. "No, I'm not gonna do anything to anyone."

"Ha, please. Of course, you would. I would have." He retorted. The start of all this was mainly because he was special. It was sorta rare to have a quirk at birth. Compared to all other quirks you can get, Mutation was the only one that came at birth. No wonder it made his mother laughed while giving birth to Izuku.

The kids had run in front of Izuku, stopping him in his tracks. "Open your mouth.". With a heavy sigh, Izuku opened his mouth, revealing four sharp fangs. One of the kids swiftly tapped on one of his fangs and pulled back. His finger had been poked by it, making him bleed. Izuku got confused about his actions. "Ah... What happened to dull your fangs?"

"I decided not to. I like them in the end." Izuku answered trying to make his way through the kids. Again, blocked while one replied, " What? You gonna use them to bite us?".

Now getting irritated, he smiled and said, " Exactly what I'm about to do if you don't move!". Then a small smoke came from within the group, making Izuku shiver. He knew only one kid who could make that happen. "As if Deku! Try that against me!"

"K-kacchan... H-hey, I didn't see you t- there." Izuku stuttered his excuse. Katsuki was the only one that scared him. He wasn't scared of anything, as his actions showed. "Yeah yeah, you didn't see me. Lousy fucking excuse!"

Katsuki was neutral of cussing, as the group age was ten to twelve, Izuku and Katsuki being the oldest, twelve. "T-that wasn't an a-an excuse!" Izuku told. Katsuki grabbed his shirt and pulled him close, " learn your place!" He said, crackling in his hand. He let go of him, making Izuku fall on the ground from fear, then walking off.

Tears started to fall from his eyes, then the rain started, given it was already gray outside. Izuku wiped the real ones and stood up. He looked down at his palm, his band restraints, were slightly crispy and had small holes. He clutched his hand and kept it close. This was a bad thing and Katsuki knew.

Wondering why it's bad. Well, Izuku quirk is called firekinesis, combining his fire breath from his father and his mother pulling quirk. Izuku was able to breathe fire, as much as his breath goes. And he could move then fire with his hands, including anything else, just like regular telekinesis.

At birth, Izuku had almost covered the whole room with smoke, he couldn't produce fire at that point. He still can't, only like sparks of fire come out. The only part of his quirk that worked was his telekinesis. Though around when he was a toddler, he had used his telekinesis and great force came out. It caused the whole house to move. (They don't live in an apartment complex anymore, a regular, nice, house. Neat right)

His mother had to bring him to the hospital at first. The doctors had to decrease his power, though it only worked for a short time. During that time, she ordered quirk limitations. These would be worn on his hands. The design was just covering his hand, the wrist was open, and finger holes, the thump was covered. The restraints lowered his power to a more controllable limit. Until Izuku was able to fully control his limitation with the restraints, he is forbidden to take it off.

A few years later. It was now around the time Izuku had chosen his school. Izuku was inspired to become a hero. The main hero that did was Miruko, the rabbit hero. She had her origin story just posted around when Izuku was thirteen. She had a similar start to life as Izuku. She had said that she thought she wasn't strong enough. She had tried the first thing that came to mind, working out. She wanted physical strength to get better than the ones who judged her.

After a month she had grown strength that was considered decent. But it wasn't the thing that brought her satisfaction. After a week of thinking, she found her inspiration, A hero that passed away in a crucial battle, Nana. That Hero brought Miruko up in spirit. Nana surprisingly had a work out routine that wasn't all brawn, it also included brain.

Later, Miruko intended high school at U.A, striving to become a hero just like Nana but better. It wasn't given on who was at UA with her.

Now she's the hero she is today, the one Izuku is now becoming to be. Izuku had eight months to prepare himself. He had spent some time on his part-time job earning cash, it was around that time Izuku had got stuff for himself. Then sending a little over six of those months practicing his telekinesis and working his brain and his brawn. Izuku had followed both Miruko's and Nana's work out routine.

One thing Izuku had forgotten about was his fire breath. He hadn't spent a lot of time on it due to the work he's been bullied for. He wanted to get out of this loop of the constant reminder of what it brings. He tried using it a couple of times, but it ended up leaving lots of smoke in the air. He had been called on by the police from someone else. They had thought it was a fire. After that, Izuku had been permitting to continue until his training, he had given the reasoning of why the smoke was there.

THE DAY—HAS COME(lyrics from the day). It was now the exam day. It felt like butterflies in his stomach, going everywhere. The building was bigger than what the pictures showed, and what he imagined. Looking down, It seemed everyone was either in groups or alone, but most in groups. He felt kinda lonely, he had nobody to experience this with.

"Deku!". He did, but it wasn't someone he wanted to be with. "Hey, k-kacchan-".

"Don't Hey me! And stop calling me that!—Now why are you here?!" He yelled, closing in the distance from the gate to him. Waving his hands, Izuku said, " I-i came here for the same reason as you!".

"Oh so were you inspired to beat All Might by becoming the #1 Hero," Katsuki told. In a soft voice, Izuku answered, " Well n-no ".

" First of all, That wasn't a question! Second of all, Who did?" He asked this time. Moving his hands up and making two ears, Izuku replied, " The Rabbit Hero: Miruko!".

Bakugo stared at him before giving a laugh, " The fucking rabbit bitch? You make me laugh...and you always do!". He went on with his laughing before stopping. He then walked on, saying " Good luck with that! Maybe you can make like a bunny and hop away!"

After entering the building, he went to the required area, where all the examiners are. There he met a pro hero, Present Mic. Present mic had explained what to do for the exam. Everyone would go to their given area, the next part was a choice and a half. The goal would to be take down robots. Each area had ten people, which would be your teammates or just hero companions, due to you could work by yourself. It was considered that you could get more points by yourself, so what would be the point of teaming up.

Present mic's answer was that team takedowns we're double the points, which meant that one point robots were two, and vice versa. Others still had the thought of just going by themselves. Izuku had the same thought.

Walking out of the room, he thought of a plan. The plan involved leering the robots to a point and counter with throwing one robot at the others, full force. He hadn't got the full range of his limitation but it was enough to cause some damage in this exam.

Gathering with the group, Izuku stood away. He had overheard their conversation. "You guys can work together if you want, I'm going by myself."

"Who said I'm gonna work with them. I don't know anything about them."

"If you're going by yourself, you better have the quirk for it. Some quirks involve others' help you know."

"Yeah yeah, who are you to lecture us?"

"Just telling the facts man."

Izuku tried to block their lousy conversation. 'I don't need anyone to be great. I can do it by myself!'. Without realizing it, their talk came to a stop. They had been staring at Izuku with some fear, others wondering what's wrong with him. He had this murderous glare, maybe at the same level as Katsuki's glare. He snapped out and said, " Sorry about that. You guys continue."

Another came out and said, " Well I think we should work together!". A guy scoffed and went to his area saying, "Please, I don't need anyone.". "He's right. You expect us to work with that kid? Not even if it's my last choice"

"You guys are lost~!" She said with a tune. Izuku sighed, Even if I wanted to work with someone, everyone is against it. Then a sudden tap on his shoulder surprised him. He swiftly turned around, looking at a pink-skinned girl who had this bright smile. " Hey there! You work together?".

Izuku took a second and looked away saying, " Sorry". Her smile went to a pout expression, " Aw Come on! You're the only one left. I want to partner up with someone. It's not like that I get to have a chance again if I fail!".

He closed his eyes, thinking that she's right. We'll not have this chance again. Well, maybe next year but who wants to wait that long where you could get in now. He then opened his eyes and went back to her, "  Fine, I'm being too selfish for my good "

"You don't look like someone selfish— Anyways, since you agreed, how about you tell me your quirk! Mines acid" She told, then giving out her hand, which had a gulp of acid. Interested, Izuku moved his finger, planting it inside the acid. Still having his finger in the acid, He said, " It doesn't hurt."

She giggled and said, " I altered it, so it shouldn't hurt but..." She then dropped the current acid and touched her finger onto Izuku, making him blush a little. When they touched, a sudden sting happened, making him pull back. "ouch, that stung. That's an interesting quirk."

"Enough about mine, what's yours?"

Izuku looked at his glove and said, " It's called Firekinesis. I breathe fire from my-", interrupted with a sudden burst of energy, She exclaimed, " You can breathe Fire?! That's so cool!".

He then continued by saying, "Yeah I guess it is but the thing is that I can't do it yet."

"Oh, well it's the thought that counts. Breathing fire—" She paused, " Didn't you say ' Kinesis' at the end?"

Nodding, he replied, " Mhm, The kinesis part is that I can move the fire, also including any other object. So it's just like telekinesis."

She stared for a second, getting Izuku confused, before bursting out again, " Wooow, not only can you breathe fire, you move stuff with your mind?!"

"You got psychic and telepathic mixed up." he pulled up his hands and clarified " I make them move with my hands."

She pointed at his gloves and asked, " What are these for?"

"These are limitations my power. The reason is—"

A click came loudly from a speaker. Then they heard the present mic's voice came on, he said " Are you ready?! ALRIGHT THEN! GOOO!!"

The other eight ran forth, straight into the open gates. Izuku let down his hands and turned around, " I'll explain later, let's get going!". She nodded and ran in front.

They had gone in, watching the others fight a robot. Some had taken the robots down, while others had been stuck. She got a mischievous look and tapped on Izuku, " Do you think you can lift the robots to drop them?"

"Yeah, I can do it just high enough for damage."

"Okay, I'll distract them and you carry them when they aren't looking." She told.

Izuku stopped her and asked, "Wouldn't I only get points?"

" Nope, It's because I helping by distracting it." She reaffirmed.

Izuku went with it and continued with her plan. Which it worked. She would take multiple robots to a spot where Izuku could grab them to his max height and drop them. They weren't able to move after the drop, so it counted as a takedown. They did this for five minutes before the other groups saw. They then tried to do contact the robot Izuku was gonna drop or would team up with the examiners.

After ten minutes, Present mic said to stop. Everyone left the area with despair, except for Izuku and his partner, her a lot more. Izuku had been worried if they failed. Soon all examiners gather in the room where it showed all the examiners' points. On one section of the huge screen showing the solos, and on the other were teamed.

Izuku had looked on the solo side and saw the one and only Katsuki on first with 75 points. It caught lots of attention. Present mic had gone up to a high stage to announce the scores. " HEY KIDS! NOW THAT YOU'RE HERE—", someone from behind him said, " Tone it down a little"

Present mic cleared his throat and continued, " Sorry about that. Anyways, now that you're all here, here go over the scores. On the solo side, First is Bakugo Katsuki with 75 points. That's a new record for the most point, on the solo of course. The second is Iida Tenya with 62, Third is Tokoyami Fumikage with 43. On the duo, the First place goes to Midoriya Izuku and Ashido Mina with 188! And divided by two is 94 points!"

With a shocked expression, Mina exclaimed, " 94! Let's go!". Present Mic then continued, saying " Second is Shiozaki Ibara and Tsunotori Pony with 172, 86 when divided. Then we have Uraraka Ochaco, Asui Tsuyu, and Hagakure Toru with 170 being 85 for the official score."

Walking out of UA with a smile on his face, satisfied with his score. He had a feeling he had already made it based on Present mic's tone when he announced it.

He then got a light shove on his back. Tripping a bit, he looked back up to see Ashido Mina in front of him. " Nice work there!".

"Yeah, you too!" He answered back, Now standing upright. She then gave out her hand and said, " I already think we got in so—See when school starts, Midoriya Izuku!". Shaking it, he said, " Can't wait, Ashido Mina!

She had gone on her way, leaving Izuku to stand there. 'I just shook a girl's hand!'

"Deku!"

"AH, K-kacchan!"

"You lucky fucking nerd! You only got in because you teamed up, and lucky enough you got first!"

"B-but you got first for the solo"

"Okay so! You got first and shouldn't have! NOW DIE!

"AHH!"
