Complete Annihilation

The once prosperous city of Vale lay in ruins, swallowed by the relentless onslaught of Grimm, their dark presence reducing everything to a desolate wasteland. The coordinated attacks of these malevolent creatures spared no one – huntsmen, children, and the elderly alike met a gruesome end.

Amidst the chaos, two figures hovered in the air, their bat-like wings ominously silhouetted against the moonlit sky. One, a cute blue-haired girl with golden eyes concealed behind a white mask, and the other, a buxom girl, her hair cascading along with the wind as her greenish-blue eyes focused intently on the city below.

"It's time" declared a sudden voice

With a subtle flash of golden light, Adam suddenly appeared in between them as he informed them that the promised moment had arrived.

"Ah... Adam, did you already deal with the dragon?" Rias, the red-haired devil, questioned, her expression puzzled.

In response to her question, Adam smiled, a hint of amusement on his face

"What?!" She pressed further, irritated by his lack of explanation

"Eh? Are you sure you can continue Adam? Do you have enough magic power? Or are you tired?" The blue-haired girl, Rimuru, expressed concern, asking worriedly as she saw something wrong with him

"Huh? What are you talking-" Rias looked at their silver-haired companion more carefully "...about?"

As she scrutinized him more closely, she saw the state he was currently in

His face was pale, and his smile which she regarded as one of amusement was strained. Noticing her look, he covered his strained smile with the back of his hand

"What happened to you?" The devil inquired, worried about the current state of the Admin

Despite having recently met him in real life, Rias can confidently say that Adam is a cautious and strong person. Such a weak expression doesn't really match the impression she has of him

"Just a sec..."

Adam muttered in response, closing his eyes for a moment

When he opened them again, his eyes shined more brightly. His face had returned to normal and his expression relaxed

"Much better...!"

"Ah? Are you okay now? Should we proceed with the plan we had in mind?!" Seeing him in a better state, Rimuru didn't question Adam, she only wanted to know if he wanted to proceed with what they had previously agreed on

"... What did you even do?" Tilting her head to the side, the busty redhead asked him in confusion as she stared at him intensely

"...." The silver-haired boy pursed his lips as he contemplated whether being truthful would be the right choice

"... Just ate a snack made out of Aura and Magic" Adam replied nonchalantly, a sly smile playing on his lips

Can Cinder be called a snack? Adam didn't know the answer, as God-like beings often look at humans as ants that can be stomped at will... But vampires and monsters also regard humans as mere food

He does have the properties of both... But he can't bring himself to look at humans as ants or food when he himself was of the same race some month ago- an amount of time which is a blink of an eye compared to long-lived species

"I... Don't understand?" Rias blinked at him, still perplexed

Rias has only seen Adam use [Gluttony] on her strand of hair, so, understandably, she doesn't understand what he just did

"Did you eat that black-haired girl who had magic?" Putting her hands on her hips, Rimuru regarded him with a suspicious look in her eyes

Adam's lips twitched "Indeed, I couldn't hold myself back from eating such a beautiful woman"

... He did actually devour most of her Aura and Magic reserves with [Gluttony]. Using his semblance many times in a short amount of time, using telepathy to forcefully look through someone's memories, overwhelming Cinder's magical power with his ice power, and then also fighting against a dragon….

All those things didn't leave him utterly spent, but it did leave him strained. He would also recover in some time, but he didn't have time for that

But they don't need to know that....

"I could also eat you too, Rimuru" Adam winked at the slime girl, evading the question "So there is no need to be jealous"

"I-!"

"Stop flirting! Shouldn't we start killing those Grimm already!?"

Rias, feeling left out after watching these two flirt like she didn't even exist, interrupted Rimuru as she tried to bring their focus back on track

"Oh?" Adam raised an eyebrow at her

"Aren't you curious? Not one bit?"

"...."

Rias pursed her lips as a hesitant light passed through her eyes. But in the end, she shook her head

"No, I'm not. We should focus more on our mission for now" The 16 year old looking devil, said seriously

"She is right! Now that I have finished our preparations, we should start our plan!" Rimuru interjected from the side excitedly, eager to move forward

Looking between the two girls, Adam had a contemplating expression on his face

"Sure, let's start"

Standing in the air, Rimuru lowered her hand, forming their special move. The atmosphere crackled with anticipation as Adam's golden eyes shone with determination

"Rimuru, can you give me access to Veldora's Magicules?" His voice resonated with this request, his silhouette outlined against the ominous gray clouds slowly gathering above

Although he could certainly execute this move without external aid... But doing so will leave him drained- he didn't want that, especially when there were still many things to be done in this world

"Of course!" With an enthusiastic nod, Rimuru unleashed a burst of magical energy, granting the silver haired boy access to the boundless Magicules of Veldora the storm dragon

"Good"

A majestic golden light enveloped Adam's eyes as he tapped into the immense magical reservoir of their mutual friend

And now, feeling the huge ocean that was the True Dragon's magical capacity, he felt unbridled confidence in what he was about to do

Aura flaring outwards, he took a deep breath, gathering every energy he had access to- whether that was Aura, MA energy, Magicules, or even his newly acquired demonic power

A deep breath marked the beginning of their synchronized assault. Adam raised his hand, signaling for Rimuru to join him in their combined assault

Rias, her crimson hair dancing in the wind, maintained a vigilant stance, watching for any potential threats. She was defending their backs in case someone dared to attack them, after all, in an unfamiliar world, you can never be too overconfident

He clenched his hand, using his psionic powers to extreme precision as he gathered small particles to form a certain phenomenon for assistance

And-!

BOOM

Thunder roared, clouds darkened into a dark color, gathering in the sky as a drop of rain fell on his silver hair

"Your turn, Rimuru"

Acknowledging his order, Rimuru took a deep breath and slightly waved her hand

The blue mass of blue gelatin that was behind them, moved in the air as it twisted strangely in seemingly random patterns

With her part done, the slime girl nodded at him

At this point, drops of rain were raining down upon Remnant

Taking control of the blue gelatinou substance in the air through their deep link, Adam forcefully expanded his senses through the whole city of Vale

And now that he achieved this, he waved his hand, the blue gelatin spreading out and fading as it was infused into the rain

"Now..." Adam's voice echoed, the tension in the air reaching its peak. Having achieved almost everything, he took a deep breath....

And lowered his hand

"Reduced to fragments!"

With an authoritative declaration, the raindrops infused with 'Meggido' froze mid-air, transforming into deadly ice shards.

The frozen rain, like a viper, switched their trajectory as they homed in on their targets by themselves, preparing to be ejected

And then.... Chaos erupted

The frozen rain descended upon the Grimm below like a celestial judgment. The ice pierced through the creatures, easily breaking through their defenses like a hot knife going through butter

After that, a blue color signifying ice spread through the bodies of the creatures like a virus, eventually, shattering them into countless crystalline fragments when the ice overtook all of their body mass

And then, the icicles continued, homing in on other Grimm after they were done with their targets

Seeing the dark creatures shattering one after another through his golden eyes, Adam's grin reflected the satisfaction of a successful maneuver

The rain, now imbued with Meggido, continued its relentless assault on the Grimm, freezing and dismantling them under his control.

And in no time... All Grimm were defeated, dissipating into the air as pure magical energy

"It would be a waste to let all this Magical energy disintegrate into the air, don't you think?", The silver-haired boy mused with an ever-present satisfied grin on his face, the glow in his eyes matching the intensity of his words.

Raising his hand, Adam stretched his palm wide, the atmosphere shifting as he faced the city

"Vishnu! Show your prowess!"

With his shout, he called upon the devouring power of Vishnu, a pitch abyss-like vortex manifesting from his palm, stopping entirely in its tracks a few centimeters away from his palm

"Devour them whole!"

Using [Devour], the ability of the Vishnu genes that got upgraded into a sub-skill of [Gluttony] to its full potential for the first time since he obtained this ability, the vortex in his palm tried to suck all the magical energy present in the air around Vale

And... It worked, partially

The black fog representing the magical energy of the dead Grimm started moving in his direction, being sucked in and devoured by the vortex in his palm... But it wasn't enough

"Hah!"

Putting two of his hands together, Adam pushed himself to the limit as he made a bigger vortex- which reached half his body in size

Seeing as it still wasn't enough to devour all of the countless Grimm's magical energy that was spread throughout the air, he sought the assistance of his best friend (?)

"Help me, wifey!"

Without any shame or embarrassment, he called out for Rimuru, his so-called 'wife'

"E-eh!? Me!?" Flinching at the unexpected request, the slime girl voiced out in confusion at his sudden declaration

Adam gave her a stern look, but then he sighed and nodded without saying anything

[Tranferring knowledge of technique....]

Completely analyzing Cinder's being and experimenting a little with her Fall Maiden powers proved very useful, giving him insights into the true nature of magic in this universe

"Okay!" Giving him a thumbs up, she put on the same posture as him, imitating him as she received the knowledge of the technique from his own [Great Sage]

"Gluttony!"

The black energy of the dead Grimm gathered towards their direction now, violently getting swallowed and devoured into their vortexes, and enhancing their own prowess

Adam's golden eyes glowed in a powerful and magical light, his soul obtaining the power of magic that was present in the world of Remnant through this gathering of so much external magical energy

Magic in this world was stored in the soul. The Maiden powers, which could be transferred to someone else, and Ozma's magic, which could stay with him despite his countless reincarnations and his switching of bodies was proof of that (Though his magic did weaken, for some reason)

Now, he hadn't killed Cinder, as Maiden powers could only be transferred if the Maiden herself thought of someone in their last moments, or if someone killed the Maiden- an extremely difficult task for the locals of this world

To be a Maiden, you also had to be a female. Which... Adam was not

But... He had integrated with the CC character card, so strictly speaking, because of that, his 'being', his essence if you will, did indeed meet this criteria as it contained the essence of CC

Then again, he didn't want to risk it, so he wanted to wait until he met Salem, stole her memories, and then he could figure out a way to transfer the Maiden powers to himself with her knowledge

But... Feeling the rapid accumulation of magic in his soul, he knew that it didn't matter now. With the integration of magical energy into his being, he now could use the magic of this world

... Too bad the magic capacity in the Remnant world is limited and cannot be increased in any way, it is always a fixed amount

Fortunately, Adam has [Gluttony] and [Devour], consuming magic and increasing his own reserves is a piece of cake with those two skills

Thankfully, Rimuru is also here, otherwise, so much magical energy would be wasted as it drifted and lost into the atmosphere of Remnant.

He also gave this knowledge to Rimuru's [Great Sage], but what it would do with this was its own choice. Although it was indeed a nice addition to her own powers, he didn't think the slime girl would find the magic of this world that useful

... Then again, it's free power. Giving some of it to his best friend/'wife' is a choice that he can make quite easily, he is not stingy with the people he cares about, after all
