The brilliance of the rising sun glared toward the cave that hid from the moon

Threatened by the light, a groan was heard as Uesugi woke up with an irritated look

"You're awake. Hurry up and wash your face, I'm making breakfast right now". A young voice was heard outside of the cave as he smelled a fragrance that caused his belly to rumble

Wearily getting up, he walked out of the cave and stretched his body, revealing his messy hair and dirty clothes after the battle. He melted the snow and washed his body with the same method as last time.

Glancing at Bronya who was roasting a deer with seasoning, he saw that her clothes were dirty and decided to prepare some water for her to use

"Bronya, after you're done cooking, wash yourself up in the cave". Uesugi sat in front of her as he sat leisurely with a refreshed look

She nodded and thought, 'He sure has no delicacy', but was appreciative of the thought

Standing up and entering the cave, Uesugi began to butcher the deer and remove its bones before putting it in the cans they ate from

Hearing the splashes of water echoing from the cave, he didn't have any lustful thoughts since they were too young

After a while, Bronya walked out with wet hair. Beckoning her to him, she walked before him

With his gauntlets on, he controlled the Honkai Energy injected and dried her hair slowly as she took a piece of the deer and bit it

Before they departed Uesugi said, "I have something for you and it'll be good". Smiling triumphantly about the gift

While she was confused by the sudden gift, considering that the last gift was granting her Honkai Energy Manipulation, it may be something similar

Uesugi's hands were raised as a flash of white light appeared, materializing a school uniform.

Valkyrie Chariot was on display for Bronya who felt an affinity with it.

Suddenly, a thin white line appeared between Bronya's heart and the Battlesuit. Despite being shocked, Uesugi realized that it was a Soul-Bound equipment

"Don't panic, it'll aid you in your adventure from now on". Shouting quickly after seeing the wariness on Bronya's face

Nodding at her response, Uesugi didn't mind her actions as the phenomenon was indeed unique and their relationship was still uncertain

The Battlesuit soon assimilated with Bronya, merging with her body as it slowly replaced her clothes.

Her small figure revealed innocence and intelligence, when she twisted her body to look at her clothes, she was pleased by their aesthetics

"Shuu, Thank you". She didn't go on about its preciousness but silently decided to repay the favor in the future

Uesugi guessed her thoughts and didn't comment on it. Increasing her strength would be the best repayment for him and this world

"Get used to the Battlesuit and ask me any questions regarding its functions before we leave". He said with hints of interest since a game is different from reality

Bronya's eyes were sparkling like a child that received her toy. Running towards an open field, she tested the functions from auxiliary, sub, and main weapons that aided her abilities

Her Battlesuit had the Time Freeze function which many Valkyries have since it's considered a life-saving measure. The cannons can shoot short rounds of bullets but are weaker versions of the cannonballs she charges. 

More importantly, she has a support trump card on her sleeve. Utilizing her Honkai Energy in large amounts, a phenomenon manifested which attracted the nearby snow and trees into a focal point

As Bronya's output of Honkai Energy increased, a black hole was created, but it didn't possess its attributes of decomposing matter as the objects flown into it were only colliding with each other

Despite being at a close distance, Uesugi didn't experience the gravitational pull and knew it didn't affect allies.

Valkyrie Chariot is a support-type Battlesuit and works only in a team. The early stages of her Battlsuits are support-types, and only after she becomes the Herrscher of Reason can she solo her foes

Currently, her skillset is still lacking compared to the Black Nucleus Battlesuit she'll obtain in Anti-Entropy, it's better than having nothing.

When the black hole dissipated, Bronya panted slightly as sweat dropped from her face. Her Honkai Energy Manipulation is still immature and couldn't even compare to Uesugi who's only at the Elementary stage.

Of course, when Bronya joins the other main protagonists, her techniques will become more refined as her Peak Honkai Resistance Adaptability can cause improvement just by using Honkai Energy

"Now it's time to leave, we'll reach Chita by 3 pm". Looking at his phone, Uesugi determined the distance and time.

Recovering from her expenditure, Bronya nodded as they immediately headed out to Chita

This time, she levitated slightly off the ground and didn't walk.

'It seems that this habit will stick with her even when she hasn't lost her legs', he thought silently before returning his gaze forward

"Wind, are we leaving now, while Brain isn't our direct superior, he is on 'his' level despite his being a loser' A cloaked figure said with hesitation

Brain's previous actions weren't bright and his measures against Uesugi and Bronya were inadequate but his position in this world was just below the leading figures

"A loser is a loser, besides, the brats have potential and seedlings must be preserved before they grow". The Chakram user wasn't worried about the repercussions as they had their backing

"Why don't you protect them? You said they have no backing and they're heading towards Chita". While the gun user was interested in them as well, he couldn't understand Wind's attitude toward the kids

"This is their first trial, without tempering, how can they survive in this cruel world". Mumbling softly, they continued onwards outside the snowy plains

Silence appeared between them as they remained silent until the region bade farewell to their presence.

Uesugi Shuu and Bronya Zaychik witnessed the city they struggled to reach. However, the scene caused them to question life as the city's buildings and landscape were destroyed without a trace

In place, zombies were stationed in army positions as the soldiers were scythe-wielding zombies and some others used katanas or claws.

The wraiths at the far back served as priests and with their support abilities, zombies would have greater killing power and survivability

However, Uesugi and Bronya felt an ominous presence behind the army as an invisible apparition seemed to have materialized, twisting space and creating a distorted face screaming in pain

Bronya's face paled as she trembled in fear, she never felt such bloodlust as her instincts led her to know that the entirety of Chita was doing

Uesugi's trembling stopped quickly but a grave look appeared on his face as he realized that the mission was worse than fighting 12 Templar Honkai Beasts

'Did I have to reach Zasopka first, but I only had information on Chita', he didn't regret his decision but the fight would prove the most difficult before reaching Anti-Entropy, hopefully...

Suddenly, the pressure disappeared, Uesugi had a questioning face on him but Bronya's countenance changed as she shouted hastily, "Quick, it detected us, we need to leave"

While they responded quickly, turning their bodies around, they saw a figure before them.

Long hair flowing down to the floor and a humanoid figure that didn't reveal its face. They couldn't tell what it was but death was near them

A staring confrontation was happening as both sides didn't move, Uesugi equipped his Chevalier Battlesuit while Bronya retreated and positioned herself for battle

The tension was high when this balance broke, the figure raised its fingers and pointed upwards.

Flinching at its actions, Uesugi and Bronya were prepared to respond to the danger

However, the expected danger didn't come. A string coming out from his finger tried forming letters to convey something

Curious about its actions, Uesugi slightly let his guard down and Bronya remained on guard, yet they both felt that it didn't have any killing intent against them

It took time but it finally formed a sentence. Bronya was confused by the letters but Uesugi was familiar with them

Japanese, was his home language and he understood what it wanted from them

A weird look appeared on his face, turning towards Bronya, he explained what it meant

"Hey guys, I need your help defeating the army down there, I promise I won't raise a finger against you when you do so, good luck".

Bronya's expression was similar to Uesugis's as she wondered if the figure's mental state in front of them was all right.

In the short time they exchanged glances, the long-haired figure disappeared before them. Shocked by its speed, they both knew their chances of winning were zero and their retreat... would have failed as well

Uesugi thought, 'Does the system know what's going on?' But he was happy just surviving and sighed at the surprise a transmigrator shouldn't be experiencing in a world they're familiar with

"We're going in". He said as he charged in without a plan.

Bronya wanted to stop him since a stranger's 'letters' were unreliable, but the situation at Chita was one of Maxim's wishes, with an unresigned look, she followed Uesugi's back
