Chapter 30 You can tell me anything

Asking a maid to take care of the twins, she quickly left the house and ran off to their house. Finding no one home, she quickly called the care taker who told her the hospital they were at. She immediately hailed another cab and on reaching the hospital, she found the care taker waiting with Tang Moyu.

"What happened?!" she asked on reaching them. "They are examining him. They haven't told us anything," she informed. "What was wrong with him? Did he say that he was hurting anywhere before?" "Not at all. He was taking his medicine as he was supposed to," she replied and Tang Ning walked to sit near Tang Moyu.

Sitting in absolute silence, the doctor finally came and Tang Ning stood up that instant.

"Relatives of Tang Rong?" he asked. "Yes," she replied immediately. "Your father has type two diabetes. Are you aware of that?" he asked and she nodded. "Yes and he's been on medication," she informed. "Alright. We need to perform a surgery on him as soon as possible. It will greatly help improve his health." "Uh, is the condition that serious?" she asked. "Yes. He needs the surgery soon," he informed. "You can go ahead and do it then. Please do anything you have to do to save his life," she said.

"We shall start with the procedure the moment you deposit the money onto the hospital's account," he said.

"How much is it?" "Everything will cost one hundred fifty thousand Yuan," he mentioned. "O-okay. I will be back very soon," she said before turning to look at her sister and the care taker. "Where are we going to get that money from?" asked Moyu.

"I don't know," she replied and walked back to sit then scratched her hair. There was no way she could get that much money and they needed it urgently.

Coming to where she was sitting, Moyu asked," Don't you have savings?" "It is very little. Not even half of that," she said.

"What are we going to do now?" she asked.

"I don't know but we shall definitely come up with something," she replied before getting up and went to stand somewhere. Calling Daiyu, she answered,"What's up girl?" "I'm in the hospital." "What? What happened to you? Are you alright?" "Yes I'm fine. My father was found unconscious and the doctor just informed us that he needs surgery." "Oh, that is so bad. But is he okay now?"

"I don't know. We haven't seen him yet. The surgery is a hundred and fifty thousand Yuan and there's no way I have that money," she said.

"What are you going to do now? I would lend you my savings but it's not even half of the amount," she said. "I understand. I'm stranded right now."

"I can talk to Feng Shufen and he will be more than willing to help. I'm sure he will transfer him here and work on him for free," she said.

"No but- " "You shouldn't waste your time. You won't be seeing him," she deadpanned and went back to doing her work on the computer.

"I am called Tang Ning and am also the twins' nanny. I need to see him please, it's urgent," she said. "I said you won't be seeing him. He's busy," she replied without looking at her.

Later, she turned to leave and started walking away when she heard," Tang Ning." She turned around to see Mr Jing Yue who was standing there with two men. She immediately hid her face because she knew she looked horrible.

Seeing the men to the elevator, Jing Yue walked to her and asked," What is happening here?"

"Nothing. I just came to talk to you but if you're busy, I can leave," she said. "Are you alright?" he asked looking at her first then the receptionist and she said," Yes. I'm alright."

"Are you sure?" he asked and she nodded.

"Come with me," he said, leading her to his office.

Reaching inside, he turned to look at her and said," Will you tell me what happened back there?" "Nothing," she replied, not meeting his gaze because tears were gathering in her eyes again at the memory of how they shouted at her. "Look at me," he instructed.

When she didn't, he came forward and placed his fingers below her chin and made her look at him. When their eyes met and she saw nothing but concern in those eyes, the tears she was trying so hard to hold back spilt and he embraced her.

His one hand encircled her waist while the other rubbed her back and he said," You can tell me anything." "My father... he is sick and he needs surgery." "You don't have to worry. Everything will be alright," he said and he felt her nod her head. It was her first time being in his embrace but she felt so safe in his arms, and she couldn't tell if it was because of his relaxing scent. When she relaxed, he pulled away and told her to sit down before fetching her a glass of water.
