Chapter 1: Her Being Prisoned In Silver

I had been uneasy when I got out of the Alpha's office and out of the pack house. I walked heading to my car in a bit of relief but I was still worried. This's the third pack I visited today.

Our pack had been receiving death treats for over two months now. Death treats that we shouldn't neglect because the treats were pretty serious and I can tell that the latter were not lying to take our pack down.

Even I myself was stronger than any other alphas and betas, when they all would team up, I cannot kill them all in one go and my pack would be in danger as I have only two strong members with me.

So I came here personally to ask for help in our aid. The alpha of Blood Moon Pack was easy to talk with and hastily agreed to my terms and conditions. He must have been in a hurry. Talking about a good time.

I should smile a little since I got an alliance pretty fast than expected but I had this feeling inside me that I should halt my feet and turn around. I was worried as well as my wolf here.

Clad had these emotions and he wouldn't calm down as I entered the other packs earlier today to have an alliance; furthermore, he grew all those emotions greater when we first laid our foot in this pack. He wouldn't settle and kept on bugging me as I talked with the Alpha. And now, he's interrupting and invading my thoughts with his sick overflowing emotions.

My heart's been beating fast than its normal pace as if I was in my wolf form running for my life. The loud thunderous beating gave me excitement for not knowing why. I grew feeling excited even I was uneasy.

What's wrong? I asked him at last, since I couldn't talk to him because I was busy thinking on how to approach the Alpha and talking to the said Alpha nervously.

I sure was braver in combat but I can never be any braver to any mental combats.

"I have this feeling that our strength and power is back," he said to me as he was restlessly jumped in my mind.

Really? Just then, I halted my steps when I inhaled that scented rose aroma that was making me to calm down on an irregular heartbeat and calming me out of my worries. It had a way to hand me a hand and comforting me even just for a smell.

Instantly, I remembered the scent. How could I forgot that familiar scent of hers? My strength and power came back to me, no kidding. But what's this stinking stain?

I heard gasps and growls around the pack ground. I checked for what they were doing. My eyes landed on the particular large group of wolves surrounding something and some curious wolves running towards the circle, trying to query regarding the happenings.

Maybe about twenty-year-old guy passed by my side, heading to the rightful group. I held his left shoulder with my right hand and he halted looking up to my face.

"What's the matter, dude?" he asked in a cool manner, in a way of slightly provoking me. He surely was mocking me to my core.

"What's happening?"

"Why are you asking me? Are you a pack member?" When he asked that, I glared at him which shut him up. "Nevermind. That?" he asked, pointing what he was heading to, "That's a ceremony for the sacrifice. Actually, the sacrifice is a rogue cutie." Hearing his words, my heart skipped a beat. He shoudn't be saying…

"What's this sacrifice for a ceremony you're talking about?"

"Seriously? Clearly on your words, you're not a member of this pack," he concluded with his arched brows on me. "Who are you, dude? You're suspicious," he blurted out with questioning look on his face. He was narrowing me for me to confess to him. But of course, I knew I can't do that.

"You're telling me or not?" I squeezed a little harder on his shoulder, showing him of what I was capable on doing. He winced in pain and threw me an angry expression on his face.

"Okay, okay. I don't care who you are but just put your hand off me. It hurts, you know," he said, taking my hand off his shoulder. "The ceremony is an event." I glared at him after hearing what he said. He's joking in times like this when someone's threatening his life. "Woah! You're intimidating and all, but spare me one more," he spattered, exposing his pearly whites, mocking me. My glare darkened as I tilted my head a bit down but my narrowing eyes didn't left staring on his, and my hand found its way to his shoulder again. His eyes widened after he felt my hand over his shoulder. "I'm serious now," he cleared his throat and man up. That shut him up, finally. "Actually, this ceremony holds the pack's faith upon the Moon Goddess, Luna; wherein we offer a sacrifice of a virgin wolf of over twenty years old if the Alpha haven't found his mate. It happens once a year," he answered like it didn't affect him anyway, more like he hadn't much care on their alpha.

"Why are you doing that?"

"Maybe a curse will come or two?" He shrugged, minding no inconvenience over the matter.

I loosened my grip over his poor shoulder and started walking away. "Thank you for the information."

"Thank you, too, intimidating guy!" he responded, trying to provoked me as soon as he recovered his shock on how intimidated he was on having my presence; but I ignored him because he's just a boy, pretty innocent boy actually. I can't afford hitting one since it reminded me of my old self. Besides, he's annoyed at the fact I kept on asking questions. Yeah, I admit, I was persistent on my queries.

I headed straight to the commotion. I walked passed to them as I glided and dashed to avoid knocking them down to the ground. The more I stepped, the more this amazing.

Three rows more to go before I could take a peck to the view they were talking about. It was hard to see because some of them were tall on par of my height, specially guys.

"Die!"

"Go die!"

"Succumbed!"

"Worthless woman!"

"Sacrifice your filthy being!"

Hearing those disgusting words uttered by these people, I had this urge to hold their throats and rip them apart from their bodies. How can they do say such words to a helpless one. They must have been gone crazy. Sacrifice, huh.

"Beat 'er, Alpha!"

"Kill 'er!"

Listening the desperate shouts of these guys around me, I couldn't think properly on how to handle them all at once in a gentlest way possible. Their words hurt me even though I was not the person they were talking about. It ached my heart into tiny pieces of heartbreaks. I couldn't take how much words they sputtered so I lifted my arms and shoved the two guys who both standing from my left side and right side. They don't have the strength to speak by their mouth full of mouthful scoldings.

I heard gasps and growls from the wolves around me as they've heard and witnessed what I had done. They were all shock to have a sudden intrusion of someone who wasn't a member of their pack. Let alone thrusting two of their fighting omegas.

"You got a problem, bro?!" they howled, anger was visible on their faces as the fact that someone just effortlessly shoved them to the ground. They were eager to fight back but surely they couldn't since they were stocked to the ground with their broken limbs. They couldn't even get up, grimacing in pain.

I pushed the remaining wolves standing in front of me who were hindering my path. I shoved them using my palms with one-fourth of my strength alone. Collapsed on their legs, they fell on the forest floor. Making sure they had troubles getting up, I smirked.

My eyes drifted up, only to find the two distant brown orbs staring at me—the ones that were the same innocent eyes of the five-year-old girl who had kissed me twenty-four years ago. The same innocent eyes with flowing tears like of waterfalls that touched my emotions. Seeing her made my adrenaline overexerted its rush pace. Only a matter of second, my expression changed from smirking. My sympathy's taking over me.

From her eyes, my sight flew to her bleeding runny nose. Her rose aroma filled my nostrils and my heart fluttered seeing her alive.

As much I would love to inhale her rosy smell, I had disgusts over the metallic smell of blood, not the owner of the blood, but the one who caused that out. Her body was berely covered with clothes and she had too many blood stains and bruises on her from the hits she received from this pack with their foolish belief. Her cuts were bleeding. She must have been hurt and harassed by seeing her condition now.

Mate, I subconsciously whispered to Clad.

Clad happily nodded in agreement as he whistled for the second time of a long time. "The one who kissed our beloved," he responded, remembering the chance we first met our mate.

Then my eyes trailed to the guy standing next to her with his whip made of silver. My veins and capillaries drew massive amount blood to carry because my eyes, heart, body, wolf hardened, realizing what he would have done to my mate if I might not hear about this stupid sacrifice ritual.

"Alpha Gunnery, what do you think you are doing?" I growled at him, remaining my stern-paralyzed face and monotone voice to sound dominating which I already was. I eyed him ferociously as he turned his gaze to me.

"Oh, if it isn't the Alpha of the White Moon Pack?" He grinned, mocking my epic intrusion. His eyes telling me of how I was overly subordinate under him.

I glared at his whip, dripping wet from crimson blood. I wanted to gauge his eyes out of its socket for looking down on me, cut those hands into tiny bits of pieces that held the whip covered by my mate's blood, and break those arms of strength that whipped my mate's thin figure mercilessly.

"He's an alpha?" the omegas gasped, but I didn't mind them because I have my own business to mind about.

I walked towards the menacing alpha as I spoke, "Yes, I am the Alpha of the White Moon Pack, and I'm here to take my mate with me." I walked over the omegas who couldn't get up after being shoved to the ground lying.

"Mate? Ha!" He shook his head and tsk-tsked in disapproval. "A mere rogue is your mate? No kidding, but that's funny," he continued, snickering like a maniac. "She should be on your hands if she's really your mate. But here she is, restraint of silver, cold and shivering," he said, smirking, offending me. The alpha got me there, I admit. If I acted on time that time, I shouldn't had let her ran off me. I had regretted my silent gesture back then; now, I'm trying to reciprocate my impulsive action.

"She isn't a rogue because she's mine," I responded sternly as I stopped my footings a foot away from him. I stood there chin to forehead with him. I was tall. I was half a ruler higher than him. Now, what, who's the dominating one?

"Oh, come on!" This time, he was the one who glared at me, sending me death treats. "She nearly killed half of my male omegas and delta just for chasing her alive. You called her vulnerable? A fact for you, she's a beast." Hearing him calling her a beast, I felt he was eagerly disgusted of the uttered latter. Adding the fact he was spitting his saliva on my face; I wouldn't consider respecting him as someone older than me.

"I don't believe you." I shook my head in disbelief.

He glared at me again as he continued to look up. I ignored him as I shoved him aside and turned to my mate.

As I walked, I felt my steps were becoming heavy. My hands were shaking. I was sweating pretty hard. My heart's racing, faster than those racing cars. I felt liquids dropped on my cheeks. I was crying, obviously. She's my weakness and my strength, after all.

I touched her cheek using my forefinger. The exact moment my index finger reached her skin, it bounced off as I felt electrefied. I wonder what she felt.

Mate. She's unquestionably, indisputably my one and only, one in my lifetime, precious mate.

I paid no more time, hastened up as I lifted my arms and my hands travelled through the air to her enchained arms to remove the silver chains. I knew she flinched when my skin touched her skinny limb. She was reluctant at first as she gave me her digging glares but soon she gave in due to lack of strength. I unchained the locks with just squeezing it—which I knew hurting her—and threw onto the ground with clanging and jingling sounds thereafter.

"What are you doing, Alpha Jacques?" he asked as he witnessed my action. He was mesmerized when I shoved him, knowing he's an older alpha but I just disrespected him. But, thinking again, mesmerized wasn't the word for it; it's definitely, terribly horrified.

I continued unlocking chains, ignoring him. The enchained arms and legs left red, bloody lines. They sure left wounds on her fragile skin.

"I'm taking what's mine," I replied as I slowly opened the suitcase I was holding. I rummaged to look for something.

"You can't take what this pack owns," he warned.

I paid no heed about his words. He's wasting my time. Instead, I pulled out the documents about our alliance agreement and terms from the suitcase and threw it onto the ground in front of him.

"I cut all my alliance with your pack. Thank you for your time but I don't need you to help my pack. I can manage on my own," I announced, packing the other documents I needed and shoved into the suitcase.

"How inconsiderate." I heard him tsk-tsked for the second time.

I put my right arm around her shoulder to held her into getting back on her feet. Before I initiate to start walking with her, she passed out and I instantly caught her before her body could reach the ground.

I held the suitcase using my right hand and carried my mate on a bridal style with her head on between my right arm and my right chest, and the left arm on her thighs. I stepped back my left foot to have a good head start and off to go! Without alarm and further ado, I sprinted my strength at that and ran so quick to get out of their reach.

"Get 'em, Omegas!" the Alpha commanded to his subordinates, after being stunned by my sudden gesture.

I saw my car waiting for me in the pack's entrance so I quickened my movements. Sooner than I expected, I reached the backseat's left door. I opened it, startling the only person sitting in the driver's seat.

"What happened?" he snapped as he noticed I entered the backseat and his eyes landed on my mate.

I forced myself to enter the car, still my mate resting on my arms. "I finally found my mate," I announced after being seated as I exhaled a massive amount of air.

"This late?" asked Jomar, the driver, his lingering eyes returned to my eyes examining my sincerity.

"Yup, and better drive fast so they won't catch us up!" I shouted, gasping for air.

"Man, why are they following us?!" he exclaimed, thunderstruck, as he started the ignition.

"I took my mate away from them," I answered him as my head turned over my shoulder to have a quick examination of the upcoming omegas.

He looked at me as if he was disappointed of me. "You're not that kind of person, Lian. Is she a member of their pack?" This guy…

"No asking, just speed up!" I raised my voice at him, voicing that I was exasperated.

"Yes, whatever, Alpha," replied my Delta, rolling his eyes heavenward on the rearview mirror as he stepped and maneuver the car forward. By rolling his eyeballs, it was so delicate and girlish that making me to gag.

If I hadn't grew up with him and witnessed his skills, I would have thought he's someone to like somebody with the same sexuality. If that happens, I'll sure kick him out of my pack if he ever confess his love to me. Geez, I shook my head at the thought; that's creepy. I sighed for sympathy. He's hopeless; not having a female mate at his old age.

As we're travelling, I looked down, seeing my mate's peaceful sleeping face but of fear as well, fearing she might leave me again. There were possibilities she might leave again, but I won't let that happen for the second time around. I traced the scars written on her face using my index finger. My breath got caught in my throat when she moved a bit, making me feel nervous if she ever caught me of what I was doing just now. I chuckled at the thought. I can do anything with her; I have to remind my self that she's my mate.

She's breathtakingly beautiful for taking my breath away.
