Prologue

Third-person pov

The wind blew heavily that night, every mystical creature on Earth could feel the presence of a greater demon, and by the atmosphere, they could tell it was Asmodeus. They wondered what he wanted this time.

Bethany placed her baby in her crib and sang to her baby, the baby smiled at her mother's beautiful voice, Rick her husband smiled lovingly at his wife and daughter, the baby fell asleep at the second verse of the song. Bethany kissed her head and turned only to find her husband walking towards her "I thought you went to bed" she whispered, "I was unable to sleep with my love by my side" Bethany blushed at that.

After Rick also placed a kiss on his daughter's head, he led his wife outside the room to their room.

Asmodeus waited patiently for the couple to leave before the jumped into the room that seemed to cause loss of control of his beast. He jumped into the room without a sound. His black eyes caught sight of a small pink crib, he picked up the small baby, one of his claws unknowingly tore the baby's skin, giving her a scar, that seemed to wake up the baby much to his surprise she didn't cry despite his terrifying form.

She smiled at him and seemed to make Asmodeus heart flutter, "What are you doing with my baby" Bethany screamed, her friendship with him didn't matter as long he held her little baby in his large arms.

Upon hearing his wife scream Rick also went to his daughter's room to see Asmodeus a demon he had no warm feelings for holding his daughter. "Asmodeus, please don't hurt her" Rick begged, Asmodeus frowned clearly offended "I would never hurt my mate," he said in a gruff voice.

"Mate!?" They both exclaimed, Bethany, snatched her baby from his arms and so blood pouring out of her baby wrist, "You imprinted on her?" She was angry, really angry "I--" Asmodeus was speechless "She's just a baby, can't you just be selfless for one second" Bethany snapped, "It was a mistake!" Asmodeus snapped back, he wasn't going to let a mere hunter disrespect him.

"Out!" Bethany snapped which made her baby cry, Asmodeus eyes hardened at that the atmosphere changed "I can not leave my mate".

"Asmodeus leave!" Rick said after being silent, Asmodeus moved closer to his mate but Bethany moved back and gripped her baby tighter in her arms, "I will go now. But I will back on her eighteenth birthday and no one will stop me" Asmodeus promised, Rick and Bethany were scared and they silently promised to make their daughter have the best eighteen years of her life.

"I have a few rules," Asmodeus rose a finger, "When I come to receive her I want her pure; She must not have sex, nor her first kiss, she must not feel love towards anyone," Bethany opened her mouth to object but stopped she knew better than to argue with a greater demon, especially Asmodeus that could destroy the world within a snap of his finger.

Bethany and Rick both nodded reluctantly, One of Asmodeus's horn twitched when he realized he would be living his mate for eighteen years.

I gave one last long at the family before he jumped back down into the portal that led to the kingdom of Daphhion.

Asmodeus felt nothing but anger towards the hunter that wouldn't let him take his mate with him. Lilith a female demon that had the imagination of becoming the queen of Dapphion one day walked up to Asmodeus ignoring his angry arura.

"Asmod--" he snapped her neck imagining she was Bethany and walked to his throne room, sat down, and thought about the days he would spend without his little mate.

Bethany and Rick took their daughter to their room in case Asmodeus returned, they knew demons were not to be trusted. They looked at the mark on their daughter's wrist and noticed that it had formed a rune, "We will tell her it's birthmark" Bethany agreed with her husband.
