Chapter 109 Estranged

"H-he just pushed himself out the window!" The young girl cried as she stared at the almost lifeless body of a person who probably had jumped to their death from one of the windows up high.

Amra inched towards the scene where people had gathered, and I did too.

"Ja-Jacques?" She stuttered and rushed over to the person, while I gasped in horror once I saw his face. It was Jacques. 

Amra cried, clinging to his broken body like she wouldn't let go, while I tried to forgive myself. I should have done something sooner. I walked up to Amra and tried to hold her in my arms, but she wouldn't let go of Jacques.
