Chapter 14

The sun streaming into the living room was a welcome sight for both ladies. They warmed to the atmosphere in the room just as the sun's warm rays brightened the whole place. They sat down on the sofa facing the window.

Stacy looked out at their garden and thought about how beautiful the day looked outside with the sunlight casting different shades across the lawn, the flowers that bloomed, so bright and colorful, and the leaves dancing to soft winds blowing.

The park across the road was empty and somehow having no one around, made it all the more pleasing to the eye. It seemed like a day to embrace nature at its best. The trees stood tall, casting shadows from the streaming sunlight across the wooden benches there, and the walkway looked like a winding road from where she sat.

It was a weekday and the residents were at work while the children were at school.
