Without any questions, the heavy vehicles slowly turn their attention towards the few blocks where there are many ruined buildings. They are going to use heavy firepower to flatten the area and possibly wash out their enemy.

At this time, Xin Wei who is hiding in one corner, showed hostility in his eyes as he watches those vehicles readying the missile launchers, cannons, and heavy machine guns towards the direction his direction.

The shouts of the people could be heard everywhere, as I appear next to a large vehicle carrying some missiles. If I am not mistaken, this thing is called an M270 MLRS. I read it once in a book as I go through a topic in school.

This heavy vehicle carries multiple rockets and is very dangerous.

If this thing fires its payload in this place, then I am not sure if I or those three women could survive the onslaught of this thing. So, I decided to take care of it before it even has the chance to fire.

Without hesitation, I used my strength which is already at 100 or 1 ton, and directly smash the window of the vehicle.

Then controlling my Qi, I immediately created a fireball inside which exploded killing the people in it.

Bratatatat!

Blazing bullets came flying in the air as the soldiers aimed in my direction. But how could I let them hit me? I dove down and began running crisscross on the ground as I approach another vehicle.

Bang! Ka-Boom!

Another heavy vehicle exploded as I punch its bulletproof window and through that small hole, sent a fireball inside to explode.

After that, I immediately run towards another vehicle. This time it was a Humvee and on top of it, a person has mounted a heavy Gatling gun.

Seeing me looking in their direction, the soldier on the gun port suddenly shouted.

"Die! You bastard!"

Then a rain of bullets came flying in my direction. I did not hesitate to jump to the side and dodge the hail of bullets.

The vehicle on the side I was taking cover at is slowly turning into hives. I suddenly turn around and jump to the side while the UMP45 in my hand has already extended and that soldier is already in my sight.

Psst!!!

The suppressed sound echoed and a hole appears on that soldier's forehead making him stop spraying bullets towards me.

The attack did not stop there as a couple of vehicles are already aiming in my direction. What caught my attention at this time is the large tank which has its tank gun facing me.

When I saw this, I knew that it would be bad if I was hit. So without hesitation, I suddenly grab a Humvee on the side and direction put the vehicle in the middle between me and that large tank gun.

Boom!

A loud explosion immediately happens and I could feel a strong force knocking me back as the Humvee covering me was torn into shreds by the powerful tank gun.

I could feel my vision blurring, my mind reeling, and my body riddled with pain. But it was not time for me to rest and give up. If I did not move or run, I knew that I would be dead.

I suddenly move my head to the side and at that time, a hole on the ground appears as a bullet penetrated through it. I did not have time to think, my instinct is telling me that I am in danger. And though my body is wounded, I pushed myself to rush towards the tank.

When I reached the corner of the tank, I did not hesitate to pull the pin of a grenade I picked up from a dead soldier lying on the ground.

Then without hesitation, I climb the tank and using my hand grab the small port opening and yank it to open a bit wider.

It seems that the people inside were surprised and began to shout in panic. But before they could do anything, I threw the grenade in my hand while releasing its pin.

Boom!

The tank exploded from the inside as it stopped moving.

Peng! Peng!

Ricocheting bullets assaulted me as I saw several gunners shot towards me. I quickly jump down the tank and ran for cover as I catch my breath.

I did not have time to do this as I knew that those soldiers are already walking closer along with the suppressing shot from the other remaining Humvees.

"Kill that guy! We have to avenge our comrades!"

"That fucker has killed a lot of us, we must avenge our comrades!"

Shouted the soldiers as the remaining slowly walks closer from where I was hiding.

Then suddenly, I threw a smoke bomb on the ground.

With the smoke covering my tracks, I easily dealt with the advancing soldiers while dodging the hail of bullets.

I did the same thing and render those remaining vehicles useless and the people inside them were either turned to crisp or frozen stiff.

I will not take my chances, and get this chance to destroy the enemy before they could destroy me.

Though I am confident with my strength and power, I am but a mortal man and I am not sure if bullets could kill me, but I don't want to take my chances I already experience the power of the tank gun.

It did not take long for me to destroy the rest of the vehicles.

But what I did not expect is for someone from a small vehicle which I did not bother as I thought it did not carry any weapons and is just a personnel carrier.

A soldier suddenly pointed towards me an RPG launcher.

An evil grin appears on his face as he confidently pressed the trigger of the RPG launcher.

As the rocket flew towards me, I suddenly shifted my body to the side. The rocket missed me and hit a vehicle making it explode.

Boom!

The eyes of that soldier turned from an evil sneer to fear. He did not expect that his attack would miss. But it was already too late, as a hole appears on his forehead.

I left that scene of fire and death behind me and walk in the direction of where their commander and the remaining soldiers are.

Meanwhile, the captain of the Company tried contacting the platoon of heavily armed vehicles to no avail. The commander on the side showed a serious expression on his face as he did not expect that this would happen.

He gritted his teeth as his fists were clenched tightly. He wished that he is holding that smug brat, Ling Ting, in his hand and slowly squashing his frail neck.

Because of that brat's lack of information, his heavily armed Company lost a lot of men. And now judging from the silence after the series of explosions, the commander knew that his men are either dead or has escaped.

He shifted his gaze to the captain.

"There are five people in that vehicle… from the traces left in the abandoned car, it seems that there are women in that group. We should scout this area and try to find those women. We can use them as leverage to kill our enemies…" the commander said as he checked his rifle and walks towards the ruined apartment building.

This same apartment building that they are entering is where those three women are located. It is by bad luck or by chance, but one thing is for sure, the danger has arrived for those three women who are with Xin Wei.

I am running as fast as I could because I have a bad feeling. It's kinda like something bad is going to happen if I did not hurry towards those three women.

I knew that I just met them, but I could not let them be harmed while in my care. I have already let my family and childhood friend down, so I could not let anyone else who relies on me be hurt.

This is already a vow in my heart and I don't want to let go of it. Because I knew that when the day comes that when I let go of this feeling of responsibility in my heart is the day that I stop being human.
