Five minutes after the bell rang, Monique rushed from the staffroom to the classroom with her notebooks in her hands. She entered the class, and as usual, the students were in groups, perhaps talking about how they had spent their weekend.
'Such a bunch of students to handle,' she thought to herself.
Some students saw her first and then got back to their chats as though she didn't exist.
Monique cleared her throat and asked that the class should start, trying hard to maintain a calm composure.
Her gaze fell on Michelle, who sat sited alone and was fumbling with her phone, and then her eyes searched for Mia, and she felt some students' eyes on her.
'What does she think she'll do to make them friends again?' The students were thinking.
Once she heard the attention of the students, she said, "Thank you. Today, we'll have a readout session,"
