"Lu Aotian? Of all people?" Mrs Han held her head as she quickly looked for a place to sit. "Why?"
"Because I love him," Han Eu-meh confessed. "And I was jealous of her. What does she have that I don't? So I thought if she was out of the way, I could—"
"Enough," Mr Han cut her off. He was sick and tired of her nonsense. She even had the guts to blame this on love.
"There's no excuse for what you've done. You will apologize to Lu Aotian and his girlfriend. And you will accept whatever legal consequences that comes your way."
"Dad, please," Han Eu-meh pleaded, her voice breaking. "I don't want to go to jail. I'll do anything."
Mr Han's eyes were cold. "You should have thought of that before. Actions have consequences, Eu-meh. It's time you learned that."
With that, he turned and walked out of the room, his shoulders heavy with the weight of his decision. Mrs Han stood to follow her husband.
