Heavenly System: Why Cultivate If I Have A System?

After defeating the Tenth General of the Demon King's Army, Will went into seclusion in the demon's cave.

He knew what would happen after defeating the last General. The battle against the Demon King awaited him.

But to qualify, he needed to get stronger. Will forbade his companions to enter the cave, and spent the last five years there, only increasing his Level.

The Tenth General's Cave doubled his XP gain, so he would evolve faster there than anywhere else. In addition, there was the Daily Login System, the more conducive the place, the better the rewards obtained.

Will sighed. He was tired.

When he reached the cave, he was Level 800. He had progressed very quickly due to the effects of the place, and he was relieved to see that he had been evolving slowly over the last few years.

When he reached Level 1,000, he would finally be qualified to challenge the Demon King, so that the world would finally be freed from evil. 

But that didn't matter to him. The world being saved was just a consequence, he was more interested in how much XP he would get from defeating the final boss.

I think the time has come to use that.

In the center of the General's cave, there was a stone throne with a large sigil drawn on the floor. As he analyzed the place, he discovered that sitting on the throne would allow him to advance a Level, regardless of how much XP was needed for that jump.

He was tempted to use it as soon as he found out, but held back when he learned that it was for single use only. 

That's why he was waiting for that day.

It would take him at least another five or eight years to reach Level 1,000, and that was already considered unimaginable for a human. The closest human to him was at Level 200.

Receiving the title 'Hero' in the Daily Login System was the luckiest thing he'd had in his life.

From the moment I sit on the throne, I'll be second only to the gods. Although the Demon King is theoretically on my Level, I will soon kill him, so I will have no other equal in the mortal realm.

There was something about Will that set him apart from other humans: his will to evolve. He never lowered his head to anyone, his only ambition was to get stronger every day.

After defeating the Demon King, he was already imagining a way to reach the deities. He didn't have time to pass a Level every ten years, he needed to find a way to evolve quickly, because the weakest gods were already above Level 5,000.

If the legends were right, his every wish would be fulfilled by defeating the tormentor of that world.

His wish was already set: he would ask for an XP multiplier like that of the deities. 

In fact, if he could, he would want to have enough XP to jump to Level 5,000, but there had to be a limit even to that, and advancing in level to keep evolving slowly didn't make sense.

An XP multiplier equal to that of the gods was enough. Whether he advanced further or not would depend solely on his efforts after that.

With a sigh, Will walked towards the throne.

As soon as he entered the area, the sigil on the floor glowed a crimson red. He could feel his body absorbing a lot of XP just by standing there. 

He suspected that the throne must be a channel that absorbed the sigil's energy more quickly and transferred it to the body of whoever was sitting there. 

If a Demon King general has an object like that, I wonder what Level the Demon King is. I don't think he's above Level 5,000, in which case he's already killed even the gods.

But it doesn't matter, as long as I kill him and have access to an object like this, I'll be able to level up even faster after my wish. 

Without hesitation, Will sat down on the throne. 

At the same moment, a message appeared in his field of vision.

[Do you wish to start the absorption process? Estimated time for complete absorption is 48 hours].

Something told him that once the 'absorption process' was complete, the sigil on the floor would no longer give him XP. But that should be enough for him to jump to Level 1,000.

Yes, start.

After ordering the System to do so, his eyes darkened.

I've never seen anything like this before. Could it be a punishment from the gods for my ambition? Well, it doesn't matter, as long as I don't die, I'll carry on.

Will opened his eyes slowly, the sunlight was very intense after the time he had spent in darkness.

He still couldn't understand what had happened. A moment ago, he was in the Demon King's General's cave, his vision had darkened, and he was staring at a bluish sky.

As he moved, he realized he was wearing different clothes. It was a white robe. For some reason, it was soaking wet.

"So you'll learn not to take our patience! Haha!"

His attention was drawn to the source of the voice. There were three young people there, apparently in their fourteenth year, but the one who spoke the last words was the young man in the middle.

He realized he was in a puddle of water, so his clothes were wet.

From that young man's smug expression, he could tell that he was despising him. That group had probably thrown him into the puddle while he was unconscious.

They had the balls to do something like that to someone like Will, it wouldn't stay that way. 

As usual, he used the Analysis skill, but was surprised by this message:

What do you mean? 

That was a Level 5 skill, even a human child could get it, why was it being restricted? Was it possible that the last event had affected its Level?

If that throne in the General's cave was actually a trap, I'd be in trouble.

[Due to the new connection, the Player's Level has been reset to Level 1.]

The System's voice suddenly sounded, as if answering his question.

"Let's get out of here, apparently the fall has left our brother Su Login a little dazed", said the young man in a contemptuous voice.

The trio of young men left, leaving only Will in the pool of water. 

He needed some time to understand what was going on there.
