Chapter 12 : Guardian Deity is Back

At Karasuno High Gym

Tanaka spiked the ball after getting it set by Kageyama

Right now they were playing a practice match among themselves 

Tanaka was spiking much harder than he does normally and anyone on the court could tell that he was targeting Izumi from the very beginning 

Izumi did realize it but behaved nonchalant towards Tanaka's behaviour

Everyone in the team could notice that Izumi is smiling and talking more often than he used to, Also he looks more enthusiastic than ever they have seen him

But only Tanaka and Third Years could notice the difference in Kiyoko's behaviour as she looks more relaxed and happy

The practice match kept on and it's Izumi's turn to serve

He Six steps back from the backline of the court and toss the ball near the line up high

He ran a little and jumped high 

Kageyama from the other side of the court was excited to see the jump serve from Izumi which he has faced before

With perfect jump which was accurate according to the Serve Toss 

He swinged his hand with lot of force which made his hand hit the lower side of the ball, but the force still helped and the ball went right towards Tanaka who with determined face was ready to receive it

As the ball was crossing the net a short guy jumped Infront of Tanaka and received it without any problems

The one who received it is the 'Guardian Deity' of Karasuno High, Nishinoya

"Noya, you're back"

"Noya-San, Welcome"

"Nice Receive Noya"

From all the people who knew Noya they started flocking around him 

Kagayema kept eyeing Nishinoya 

'He just jumped in the middle of the match and received a serve, Even though Izumi-San messed up a little he still made it look like nothing went wrong but he just took it like it was nothing'

While Kageyama was in his thought Nishinoya walked towards Izumi and put his hand towards him in a manner to shake his hands

He had a serious look on his face

"I know that serve wasn't your best but I will beat you at your best"

After saying that Nishinoya kept staring at him for him response

Izumi Shaked hands with Noya with a smile

"Well we're in the same team so instead of taking revenge on me we should get better together, It's gonna be fun playing with you"

Izumi with a warm smile speak to Noya which made Noya smile as well and they started talking like they are buddies 

"With you on the team our Ace will gonna need a lot of practice to keep his Title secure"

Noya said which made Second and Third years look sad

After looking at them for a while he understood that the Ace he want to play with, the Ace he trained all this time to keep making opportunities for the Ace is not here 

"Tch"

With that Noya left the Gymnasium while some tried to stop him but he declared that he wouldn't play till Asahi get's here

Hinata went after him after Daichi and Suga told him to

Kageyama on the other hand went to Izumi

"Did you play against before?"

"Yeah, He was one the most enthusiastic Libero I have ever faced"

At that Kageyama was shocked for a while

"Wait did he received one of your jump serves back then"

'Even with Iwaizumi-San we couldn't receives back then and had to keep on putting our body on the line to get the ball up, There's no way anyone can receive his jump serves straight'

"No, but he made progress, He would've adapted to my serves after some time if I didn't knew how to aim it better"

With that Kageyama was even more shocked as he just found out that a Libero made him change his Aim, but he didn't said it out loud, He wanted to serve to this Libero already
