Hue clicked his tongue. "Tch, it doesn't feel quite right to get married after her relative called. Her intention to marry me might not be genuine," he mumbled as he pouted in the bed.
He was happy that their marriage would be recognised in both realms soon. However, he also felt sad deep down because it seemed like Jennet was using him as a stepping stone for a purpose. But, for what?
Hue squeezed his brain to find plausible answers to the possibility but, all of it turned into negative outcomes. In the end, he gave up.
"Ah, this is troublesome. I cannot think properly. I need to see her face to refresh my mind." He made up his mind.
With all his might, he ignored the pain that chained him and sat down on the bed. Then, he took slow and cautious steps into the kitchen. Jennet, who was about to prepare some hot drinks, was startled to see him at the door.
"What are you doing here?" she rolled her eyes in alarm. "You're supposed to be in bed!"
