"Cousin Zhang, I want you to test this young mans strength"

(Zhang Daoling)

"Why me? Why don't I get a disciple. Please wait here"

(Mao Li)

"No it must be you, he might kill them otherwise"

(Hicks)

*This old man is smarter than I thought*

(Zhang Daoling)

"Very well, follow me to the courtyard"

Mao Li gets up from his seat and follows Zhang Daoling, they walk through a hallway and exit out a door. They find themselves at a huge field clear of grass

(Hicks)

"This is a courtyard? It's huge, I didn't know the Pavilion had so much space"

(Zhang Daoling)

"Enough talking, your test starts now! I will only be defending for your sake"

Hicks smiles and without warning charges at Zhang Daoling. He goes for a punch but Grandmaster dodges it. He then tries to kick him right after but once again misses.

(Argent)

"His left leg in weak so aim for his left side"

Hicks dashes towards the right side of Zhang Daoling's body but then quickly turns left, this suprises Zhang Daoling and he instinctively kicks Hicks in the stomach.

Hicks falls to the floor coughing.

(Mao Li)

"I thought you were only defending"

(Zhang Daoling)

"His speed shocked me and I instinctively kicked, my apologies"

Hicks gets up and surrounds himself in a white aura. Then suddenly it becomes more powerful and becomes the face of a tiger

(Argent)

"Looks like you haven't forgotten about the iron tiger skills, also we haven't even sold the core yet"

Hicks dashes towards Zhang Daoling but this time he's twice as fast as before

(Hicks)

"NINE IRON SLASHES"

Hicks slashes at Zhang Daoling 9 times but he dodges them. Zhang Daoling yawns, feeling humiliated Hicks turns off the white aura and creates a red aura on his hand, the aura is a flame, he puts his hand out and yells

(Hicks)

"I THOUGHT I'D HAVE SOME FUN, TRY OUT SOME SKILLS BUT F*CK YOU!! FIRE DRAGONS FURY!!!

Fire shoots out of Hicks' hand, Zhang Daoling looks at it as it shoots towards him. He puts a hand out and deflects it easily.

(Hicks)

*NO WAY!!! I'M KILLING THIS GUY NOW"

(Argent)

"Good luck..."

Hicks eyes light up red

(Argent)

"Oh great he's going to loose control again"

Hicks unleashed a powerful aura of red with red lighting sparks around him.

(Argent)

*Alright, what move will he use this time?*

Hicks vanishes and appears behind Zhang Daoling and tries to hit him with the Nine Iron Slashes again. He fails but this time Zhang Daoling has to block a few. Hicks tries to go for a punch leaving him open

(Zhang Daoling)

"It's over"

Zhang Daoling goes to punch Hicks in the stomach. Hicks grabs his fist and throws himself up into the air

(Hicks)

"Gotcha"

Hicks points both hands down at him

(Zhang Daoling and Argent)

"He didn't lose control!"

(Hicks)

"FIRE DRAGON ROOAAR!!!!!"

(Zhang Daoling)

*The bastard baited me*

Zhang Daoling puts his hands into a blocking position

Fire shoots out of Hicks hand but the fire is more intense and there is a lot of it. The fire pushes Hicks higher into the sky. As Hicks continues to fire the attack his clothes start to burn. Mao Li stands on the side lines watching as the fire lands on Zhang Daoling.

Once the attack finishes Hicks falls from the sky and crashes down onto the floor. He is mildly injured and gets up. He looks at where Zhang Daoling should be but he sees nothing but a dust cloud

(Hicks)

"Haha got him"

(Argent)

"I wouldn't be so sure"

A sudden gust blows the dust away and Zhang Daoling is standing there with partially burnt clothes. Hicks looks at him and notices glass under him.

(Hicks)

"Glass?"

(Zhang Daoling)

"Yes looks like the fire wa so intense it turned the courtyard into a glass floor"

(Mao Li)

"Zhang Daoling, now that you have witnessed this young mans strength for yourself, I want you to take him as a pupil"

(Zhang Daoling)

"Very well"

Out of nowhere guards and disciples come rushing over

(A guard)

"Grandmaster what happened, we saw an intense amount of fire and rushed over"

(Zhang Daoling)

"We just had a little training session"

The guard looks at Hicks, Hicks waves at him. The guard looks back at Zhang Daoling in shock

(Guard)

"A little training ses-session"

(Zhang Daoling)

"Yes now go gather some men and pick out all this glass out of the floor and refill it with dirt"

(Guard)

"Yes Grandmaster"

Zhang Daoling motions Mao Li and Hicks to follow him. He starts walking back to the Main Hall and Mao Li and Hicks follow. He leads them to a room

(Zhang Daoling)

"Disciple Hicksbess, this is your final test to see how much you can grow"

Zhang Daoling opens the door and in the middle of the room there is a giant glowing blue stone, it is slightly transparent.

(Mao Li)

"A one thousand year old Lapis Stone"

(Hicks)

"What does it do?"

(Argent)

"It will help see your cultivation level"

(Zhang Daoling)

"Don't worry about it, just place your hand on the stone"

Hicks puts his hand on the stone

(Zhang Daoling)

"Now infuse you're Qi energy into the stone"

Hicks puts his Qi into his hand and pushes it into the rock. After half a second it turns red and yellow then explodes.

Zhang Daoling and Mao Li Starr at the shattered stone in shock.

(Hicks)

"...Do I have to pay for that?"

(Zhang Daoling)

"Your cultivation will be...."

(Mao Li)

"Infinite... Hicksbess you are dismissed"

Hicks leaves the room and swiftly walks away

(Mao Li)

"Where did you find this.. this monster"

(Zhang Daoling)

"Monster? No... God

I'm gonna have to end the volume here because it's just too difficult to write these and keep up with school work. I tried to make the ending of this novel a bit dramatic but not cheesy. The next volume will come in 1 week minimum, 3 weeks maximum. So.... sorry
