"You're leaving already?" Nana asked Jin-A, who was heading towards the door.

"Yes. I need to check on my mother and stop by to see Detective Tae-Oh," Jin-A explained.

"Oh! That's right. How is he?" She asked with a frown.

"I have no idea. I was supposed to see him this morning but couldn't because of the meeting," Jin-A explained, deliberately leaving out the fact that he had been discharged.

"Okay then. My regards to him," Nana said as she escorted Jin-A to the door.

Jin-A arrived at the police station about thirty minutes later. She didn't miss the look some of them were sending her way. Of course, her father had just been arrested after all. So it was expected.

"Miss Kang," One of the detectives approached her.

"Hello! Where can I find detective Tae-oh around here?" She asked, looking around.

"He didn't come to work because of his injury. Is there a problem?" He asked curiously.
