Memories

In a dark room, many men in cloaks sit. Their cloaks are white with red clouds on them. They all have their hoods on. They can't see each other's faces. Gorou and Orochimaru both walk in with their cloaks on. Gorou sits at one of the regular seats and Orochimaru sits at the end of the table.

Orochimaru: Goro's team will be joining Konoha's new… Death camp, shall we call it?

???: It will be a death camp, but until then, follow the plan.

Orochimaru: yes we will. Goro, your team will get every single person they can to join in the tournament. Go all around the world. If you can't recruit the strongest to our cause, make them join the tournament.

Gorou: Your wish is my command.

???: Now go off, genie. Make sure it happens exactly as planned.

Gorou stands up from the chair. He walks out of the room. Gorou slowly travels through the long corridor. He walks into a room. The rest of the swordsmen are all there. Most of them are sitting on the floor leaning against the wall. Katashi is leaning against the wall.

Katashi: What do we do next boss?

Gorou: You all will travel around the continent. You will be split up into three groups. I'll go alone to the mist village. We know that village well so one person is fine. Ezume and Ito will go to the sand village.

Ezume is a man with long blue hair. His clothes are orange and black regular ninja robes. He has a giant weapon with him. It looks like a long staff with a gear attached at the end of it. Ito is a rugged girl with red hair. She has a stormy blue jumpsuit. She has a giant black weapon. The weapon has a long handle and a giant blade that goes into a star shape at the end.

Gorou: Katashi will go with Tomo to the cloud village.

Tomo wears regular anbu ninja gear. She has long blond hair and a pretty face. Her sword looks no different then a regular sword.

Gorou: You know the mission. Now complete it, efficiently.

They all travel out of the room. A few days later Gorou makes it to the mist village. Gorou walks up to the even dirtier part of town. He sees rogue shinobi.

Gorou: What did you guys do?

Shinobi: Do?

Gorou: I can tell a rogue ninja when I see one.

Shinobi: What are you, anbu?

Gorou: Just another rogue ninja.

Shinobi: The mist village makes you kill your comrades for a spot on the top. If you don't want to fight for that spot then you have to just accept not being a ninja.

Gorou: I was a twin at one point. That means we were both becoming ninja. We weren't put on the same teams so that we could both grow to be powerful ninja separately. That's when they wanted us to fight each other…

A young Gorou stands in front of a kid who looks similar to him. They are both bloody and tired.

Gorou: Hayato, I will be stronger.

An older ninja stands like a referee a few feet back from them.

Hayato: Not if I kill you.

Gorou and Hayato run at each other. Gorou punches at Hayato. Hayato ducks under it and jabs Gorou in the stomach a few times. Gorou kicks Hayato back.

Gorou: Water style: Water bullet!

A water bullet is fired at Hayato. Hayato leans back and dodges the bullet. As Hayato tries to recenter himself Gorou sweeps his legs. Hayato falls on the ground and Gorou starts punching him in the face over and over again.

Older ninja: Finish him Gorou. If you can't finish an enemy, no matter who he is, then you don't deserve to be a ninja.

Gorou looks back at the older ninja.

Gorou: I can't do it. I can't kill my brother.

Hayato grabs a kunai out of his pouch and stabs Gorou through the chets. Gorou falls onto the ground.

Gorou: H-how could you?

Blood comes out of Gorous mouth. Hayato looks horrified as he looks into Gorou's eyes.

Older Ninja: It's not always the stronger one who deserves the be the ninja. Good job Hayato, I'm proud of you.

Hayato: T-thanks dad.

Gorou's father: The team you're on is weak though. You'll have to switch places with Gorou. Change your name, become him.

Hayato looks at his hands that are covered in blood.

Hayato: Okay…

Tomo walks up to a man selling kabobs.

Tomo: I'll have two please.

The shop owner hands her the kabobs.

Owner: Pay up.

Tomo starts playing with her hair and looking down.

Tomo: Can I please have them for free I-

Owner: No, give them back if you have no money.

Tomo gets mad and reaches for her sword. Katashi grabs the back of her shirt and drags her off.

Katashi: Thanks for the free food, sir!

Owner: That's not free!

Katashi and Tomo start walking around. Tomo is snacking on her food.

Katashi: You're so fat.

Tomo: Oh, do you want one?

Katashi snatches the kabob out of her hand.

Katashi: Of course I do.

Tomo: We should just sit down and have lunch.

Katashi: It's a date. Then we can kill some ninja.

Tomo: Now you've got me excited.

She kisses Katashi on the cheek. As they walk they remember years ago when they were in the mist village. Tomo sits on the stump of a tree eating something.

Katashi: Tomo! You're always stealing my food. You have the family! I need it more than you do!

Tomo: What are you going to do? Then why don't we share.

Katashi: Share?! It's mine.

Tomo: You let me eat this and you can come over to my house whenever we have a meal.

Katashi looks surprised.

Katashi: Really? Can my little brother come too?

Tomo: I already asked my parents. They love you both so they said yes.

Katashi sits on the stump. Katashi gets teary-eyed.

Katashi: Thank you. I have been scraping up any food I could find for him.

Tomo puts her hand over his.

Tomo: I know you have.
