Chapter 1

Hiasen stared at the roof as he waited for sleep to take him. He loved dreams, they were empty, just a plain white space with different shades and tints of ethereal blue skies littered with colours. He could do anything here, it was a lucid dream. He was in control of everything he did. The king of his world. Any rule he set would enforced, anything he wanted would happen in here, with the exception of controlling life and time.

He had a unique mana specific to him. His own innate mana, Dream Nine. The space was his own dreams. A constant dream of the same space. Unknown to many, he was a god. No not a god, god. The race called gods. Nothing much different from humans except for their long life span and innate mana.

He had gone through a lot. At the end of the confrontation, he was tossed away into a different world. A peaceful world, a world that he quite enjoyed despite not being able to see this friends and his father.

A small prick as his ahoge twitched on top of his head, signalling him to wake up. He stretched before getting up and changing into his school uniform. He hated it, hated was an understatement. The disgusting colour of plain grey was a disrespect to fashion. He gazed longingly at his red and black robe adorned with a sheer black layer that made him seem ethereal.

He shook his head before an ethereal blued draped over reality as the set of clothes and robe found themselves in his dream space. He would be getting out of the uniform as soon as possible. Hiasen shivered as he set out to school not aware that soon a war would occur in the city and disturb the very peace he was hoping for.

The flowers of the trees kept him occupied for the day. He would occasionally collect a few and place them into his pocket before vanishing them into his dreams. He could use it as ammunition if needed be.

"Hiasen! Answer this math question please."

Hiasen stared at the teacher with his glistening golden eyes. Despite their brilliance in colour, the soul within was dull. Hiasen was fine, he had long memorised the course for school anyways. The chalk slid across the board as he solved it with an aloof expression. He was experiencing the present. He could hear the distinct sound of the chalk and he could see the dust it gave off as he placed it down. Truly, he was living in the peaceful present.

The day continued as it would normally apart from the fact that he had felt a bit more hungry than usual as he demolished four bowls of ramen. Perhaps it was time to store food in his dreams as well. He would have to make a designated safe space for the storage. Hiasen sighed as he gazed at the archery club. Once, his weapon had been a bow. He still could use a bow, but he had favoured the scythe as a tribute to the captain of Yeohadan.

He had long gained the ability to kill the captain. It came with a price. He was unable to use mana for 489 years. As a result he had the experience of 489 years. His mana stability, immeasurable, his realisation, immeasurable, and his absoluteness, immeasurable. All on par with the captain of Yeohadan.

Hiasen drooped slightly as his ahoge seemed to dance around in protest of his inner thoughts. "So sleepy." He had to stay awake, but watching that movie up till midnight took its toll.

Hiasen closed his eyes as the sounds of his teacher were drowned out by the blank space of his dreams. The floor was covered in quite a few petals and of course a few sandwiches where laying around with his clothes.

The petals moved and danced according to his will as he gazed at the beauty of the sakura petals. The petals stopped moving as Hiasen felt a surge of magical energy. The dream was cut short as he stared at one part of the city. All that changed when he noticed a small pain on his hand as he stared at a set of seals. He groaned as he complained "Tch. You've got to be kidding."

He waited until class ended before heading back to his apartment in his comfortable robes. He had no interest in this war, but it was his responsibility to at least give those who wanted to join the war a chance. Though he would summon a powerful servant befitting. He finished drawing the magic circle before it vanished into his dreams. There the magic circle stayed there on the floor of the dream space. Hiasen set the rules of the world as he made it so that the servant had to be a top tiered one. To be rank he did abuse the power of his Nine for gacha. He could simply set the rules as he pleased.

Now was the moment of reckoning. He could restrict and make sure the servant he summoned was a specific spirit, but where was the fun in that? With a bit of mana the circle flared and started glowing.

A flare of fire emerged from the circle only to be neutralised with nothing but pure mana. There stood a woman with long white hair and dull gold eyes unlike his glistening gold eyes. Dark armour and a banner held on the floor of his dream space. "Servant, Avenger. Are you my master?" Hiasen held his hand to stop her "I have no intention of being your master and participating in this useless fake war." She grit her teeth before pointing her sword at him. "You summon me to joke with me!" Hiasen shook his head as he raised his command seal.

"With the power of my command seal, have the power to do what you wish."

"With the power of my command seal, have the power to realise your wish."

"With the power of my command seal, you are now independent of me."

Avenger grit her teeth as her hand clenched her blade. "Are you stupid?!"

"You just relinquished your hold over me! I can kill you right now!"

Hiasen sighed before his gold eyes met gold eyes. While his eye colour wasn't dull. The soul behind it was. "Go ahead and try. Don't say I didn't warn you." She grinned as the blade pierced into Hiasen's body. Of course that was what would have happened if the blade stayed a blade. The moment the blade touched Hiasen it became a baguette. Avenger stared at the blade she was holding before stabbing again only for it to become a baguette. Every time she retracted her baguette it became her blade again.

She stared at him. "What the hell did you do?" Hiasen stared back "You are currently in my dream, my subspace. I do whatever I want here, I set the rules. If I so wanted I could erase your very existence from the world right now. All it would take is forgetting where you are."

Hiasen in reality grasped the air as a flare of ethereal mana came before the servant was brought forth into reality.

Hiasen stared at her before repeating himself "You are free to fight for the fake grail or do whatever you wish."

Avenger stared at him before flopping onto the couch.

Hiasen stared back "What are you doing?"

Avenger haughtily replied "You said do whatever I want. I think I'll stay."
