Disappointed

At the front of the school building, Katie saw the other three."I didn't get the part of Eunice as an old woman. I got the part of Eunice's Younger sister", said Katie,the words coming out in a rush."And I wore all of my good luck clothes and jewelry!"

Tears welled up in Lydia's eyes"I practiced Three hours a day!No matter what else I want to do - I practiced and then I still fall apart.

"Lydia it can't be that bad"said Julie leaning against the wall,one crutch on the floor." I tried out for a simple solo part in the summer school concert. Instead I get to play one song that a two year old could play with the rest of the orchestra!" Lydia wiped at the tears falling from her eyes.

"Here" Allison handed her some face wipes "Lydia every one blows it sometimes. Even me.Try being placed in not first roll,not second roll but third line of dancers!! my mother will be disappointed,but I know my father Will understand. He's always in my corner,no matter what.

The girls just stared at her.

Katie decided to let any questions about Allison and her family drop. Everybody wanted for Julie to say something.

"Well I don't feel bad. I get to play a short solo. Nothing really exciting but to tell the truth, I was surprised and happy. I didn't expect to get to do much of anything tho." She said.
