Lesson 34: Finally, I've Been Waiting For You

The female ghost narrated her story in a roundabout way, vaguely brushing past some details. Still, everyone listening to her got a clear picture from the clues she gave. Miss Butterfly's destiny had always been manipulated by powerful people.

Butterfly was once a renowned woman. The powerful ones idolized her for a long time but did not have any opportunity to approach her.

The opportunity, however, could be construed. So, the influential figure behind this hired three robbers to plunder Butterfly and her husband, and then he would appear as the knight in shining armor. Butterfly was very fond of her husband, so this influential figured devised another strategy to drive him away, leaving Butterfly without any protection, which inescapably bonded her to him.

The skillful manipulation was nothing more than a leisure activity for such powerful people.
