Evolution of the Monster King [Dropped]

The battlefield was beautiful in the night with people recklessly charging into the front lines while getting shot and torn apart by grenades and bullets. As a young man finds himself deep in the frontlines killing and brutally trying to survive, which is a common sight for the young man as he is a soldier known as a plague due to his kill count and ruthlessness.

His name was Ragnar Chieftain, but those who inhabit this world knew him as Monster

Oblivious to the danger that was soon to approach him, Ragnar was starving and exhausted from fighting none stop in the frontlines. As Ragnar reaches for his rations he gets shot in the back by comrade of his.

Ragnar lying flat on the ground bleeding from his chest knowing he doesn't have much time left asks "Why?" with little to no emotion as he was not scared of death.

His comrade says "Monsters don't deserve to live as this world is better without you." as he leans down with a smirk on his face looking at Ragnar. Ragnar on the ground starts laughing while coughing up blood looks up at his comrade and quickly pulls out his pistol in his strap and shoots him in the face instantly.

"Goodbye world" Says Ragnar with a smile while looking at the sky with explosion's and gunshots happening around him. That day monster no longer existed and truly died.

A moment passed as a throbbing pulse within a creature's head started to subside, he felt his himself gaining clarity

"What? where am I? didn't I die?" as his eyes begin to clear, he found himself focusing on the environment around him. Giant trees almost touching the sky and the smell of nature leaving a taste of earth.

he gathered his strength and tried walking but realized it didn't quite feel the same as it used too. looking down at his feet as if to find what the problem was realizes he has claws and that he is red and on all fours.

"Wtf happened to me?! what am I?" he then sees a lake in the distance begins to waddle the best that he can over there to see his reflection, once he reaches the water he is surprised to see a giant maul of a lizard that could bite a human in half and lizard like eyes staring back at him. He then notices he's at least the size of a lion with red scales covering his whole body with claws and a meter long tail.

"Is this actually me?" "what kind of lizard is this big? am I still on earth? as his thoughts are chaotic he hears a growl to the left of him, moving his head to the side to see what it is he sees a cat the size of a lion looking back at him, knowing what is about to happen he prepares himself as the cat starts charging at him.
