Yan Wen cradled the woman in his arms, the touch of her so light and brittle, it felt like he was holding a pile of bones, not a person.

All the while they walked out of the prison cell, the woman kept her head down.

"What is your name?" Qian Cangyi asked.

"Wh...which name? I don't have a name." The woman answered in a barely audible whisper.

"Your first name." Qian Cangyi gave Yan Wen a nod, signaling him to let go.

"I forgot." After a moment of hesitation, that is all the woman said.

"Look up." Qian Cangyi gave up on pressing further.

The woman lifted her head.

An earthy yellow face appeared before Qian Cangyi. Surprisingly, her face was almost void of flesh, her right cheek was marred with three scars extending from her ear to her nose bridge, looking terrifying. What was even more horrifying was when she looked at Qian Cangyi, her right eyeball didn't move at all. It looked normal but had completely lost its function.
