Chief Sytri

A Robust Centaur slowly appeared from behind and as he did, the others around him cleared the path. In just a few seconds, he had appeared right in front of us, and just like the others, he went on his knees to welcome Zephyr. Seeing him up close, I could tell off his distinguished features. This old Centaur before us had more muscle mass than the others with numerous scars embodying his tough flesh, had a scar flowing from his right eye down to his side cheek a bit above his nose end, he had a thick flowing brown beard slightly swinging as the wind brushes through it, the brown hair on his scalp compliments his beard and his fiery eyes hold a hint of power. Just from looking at him, one can guess that he's a hardened warrior that had gone through a lot.

As he approached, I and the crew felt an invisible pressure from him probably even stronger than that of the old man that got us here however his wasn't eerie, it was the aura of someone who had persevere through life death situations in many folds and I could tell that since I've had these experiences. He was strong, stronger than our standard for strength. With sweat dripping off from us, we looked at him bowed gracefully to the small being before us, "Is Zephyr actually more powerful or she's just influential?" I thought. If she was more powerful than this man before us then she should have shown it, "I wouldn't want to piss off someone as strong as this dude before us" I thought

He stood up slowly and tilted his head at us, I swear, I wasn't imagining things as I felt his eyes glow with malicious intent towards us. "What did we do?" I cried internally but just then this harmful intent suddenly quenched like it wasn't there in the first place.

" Ehem Ehhemmm" Zephyr cleared her throat and stared down at him which in turn caught his attention and drove his mind towards her. " My Lady, It's my honor to receive you once more in our village," he said and bowed his head as he stood. Seems like Zephyr didn't want to leave us in the dark and cast a spell that made us understand his speech.

" You should thank these humans then, I only visited to satisfy their curiosity" Zephyr replied.

" I see"

" Well if that's the case then thank you all," he said as he faced us with a stoic face. His thanks weren't genuine, he only did that to respect Zephyr, I knew this because I could still see that he looks at us with disdain. " We don't know you, how could we have done any wrong to you," I thought.

We walked around a bit observing the Centaur community, it was nothing exciting as they looked at us like we were some Intruders out to steal from them however they had some interesting buildings, we saw two well defined tall towers, Zephyr informed us that one was a library filled with books from the Fairy King himself and was the most important edifice in the community, the second was a school for learning magic, these two structures were nothing like the bland ones around as they were adorned with beautiful paintings and sculptures in its compound. Some minutes passed by when I came to the conclusion that "it was either we did something wrong that warrants their hatred unknowingly or their hatred encompasses all of humanity" I thought.

We persuaded Zephyr to let us leave, the people's glare was so uncomfortable and we couldn't take it any longer. Zephyr agreed and we prepared to continue treading on our previous path when Zephyr suddenly stopped.

"Sytri" She said, there was no one else aside from the fairies by our side and the huge centaur that was escorting us. Suddenly, the centaur earlier slowly walked forward, his name was Sytri.

" Yes, my Lady" he responded with modesty.

"How're magic studies going?" she asked

" it's going steady my Lady" he replied

" I see, I'll come and test your elites one of these days," she said

" We'll be expecting you," he said with a bow and stood still as we all continued to move on.

Just then, the sun appeared to be setting and the sky looked orange. "Has it been that long since we've got here?" I thought.

" That's enough sightseeing, I got carried away and took too long hehe" she said and chuckled a little.

Soon after, she formed gusts of winds around our legs and made us follow her up in the air. We could see the anurans lake and the huts from up here. Immediately as we hovered up a huge tree came into our view, " It has to be insanely huge" I thought as it looked extremely big even from this distance and it was tall that it seemed it would touch the heavens.

We all headed straight for the tree. " I guess the king stays there" I thought. In what seemed to be around two minutes, we arrived at our destination. We were right in front of the huge tree, it was in the middle of a huge river that sourced from a waterfall just a few metres back.

" The King awaits" I thought and reflexively gulped down saliva down my throat.

.......

"Run, Run" they cried out to one another as they fled from a flamy being on their trail. It was the middle of the night and this flamy figure was flying above pursuing his victims as he glowed brilliantly with his body enveloped in bright blue flames.

BOOOM BOOM

Two fireballs were conjured up and got launched towards the group of five but luckily, they managed to evade it and the fireballs engulfed a building in the area.

"Yahhhhhhhh!" screams could be heard as people got disturbed and scared from the devastating sound.

Parts of the town were covered in flames over this person's struggles.

" I didn't know that he was this powerful" one cried

" And we've dropped what we stole from him, just why is he still pursuing us?" he continued with fear visible on his face. They were on a black hooded outfit each equip with daggers and a few magic items.

" Let's split," One said as he saw two different paths at the end of the run. However, the pursuer noticed this and predicted their action.

" Don't think you can escape from me" he shouted and lifted his arm, strangely turning them when suddenly, walls of ice blocked these thieves from their path.

" What do we do, what do we do," one said as he gritted his fingers. Seeing that they were cornered, he slowly heaved towards them.

"We have to face him" One said
