Chapter 1Ragnarok

United States, New York, 5:12 AM.

It was a day like any other.

It was around 5:12 AM, and I had just finished writing the last two chapters for my fourth web novel.

Honestly, I don't know how I even got the strength to write so much.

But here I am, doing it anyway. I am really such an idiot, huh?

I can't blame anyone for this other than myself…

Well, what do you want me to say? I love writing! It's my passion! I love my characters!

I wish I could be in such worlds… life here is so dull.

Well, it was.

Now that I write so much, I can be in all sorts of different worlds and scenarios, the fun never ends.

But well, it is already pretty late, time to take to sleep only to wake up tomorrow morning and write… more.

Haha… This is the life of your web novelist.

I glance a bit at the window, the night is pretty beautiful today.

Man, I haven't gone out for a while now…

Earning money through writing and all, I have simply isolated myself inside of my every house.

Well, I was always a big Neet, but now, I am an enormous neet!

And a neet that works for himself as well!

With money like this, I can just order food every day easily, and literally, order anything to my house. I don't need to get out at all.

I am living the neet dream.

I live in this apartment by myself, since I left the orphanage around 4 years ago.

And well, one year ago I started writing Epic of Caterpillar, my first novel, and the most popular of the four (five, actually).

To think that I started writing it for shit and giggles, and now it became kind of my career.

Damn, how things change sometimes.

I really thought I would be a worthless piece of shit my entire life, but now I am earning big bucks by writing about an eldritch abomination taking the mortal shell of a seductive vampire fairy.

Thought… I am lonely…

I often fantasize about meeting the characters I create… To be their friends, or even as outstandingly as this may sound, to be their lovers.

Yeah, pretty cringe I know, but I bet most people have even cringier fantasies anyways.

But this is all mere fiction, it would never happen.

This is the dull… real life, where nothing fantastical actually happens, it is just me, my dull life, and my books.

And my wrists which are screaming in pain!

Okay, okay, I am almost done with this chapter!

can the author read this!!! why does the title say supreme summoner system when he got a supreme gacha system. while they are similar they are very much different. a summoner is a person who can summon allies to fight for him and has control over what he summons while a gacha is a roulette of items, skills , allies. it also counts on luck.

I've read through the first few chapters, reading the story, trying to get into the setting and looking at what it entaild. And as always with Pancakes, I love it! Like always quality and fun, and I can just be excited for what is to come!

warning to any paying readers: don’t do it. this story is fun but if you’re paying, it’s absolutely not worth it at all. pros of the story are few and far between. heavily relies on a gacha system so as a filthy gacha gamer I personally kept on going because of that. the MC is extremely OP, doesn’t really run into any struggles since his system lets him power level from the comfort of his own home. and…that’s about it? the English is legible and could be worse. i guess. watch out for: mediocre writing. definitely reads with English as a second language. tons of grammar problems or random words or phrases that don’t make sense, no sense of show not tell, often sounds like something an elementary school student would write. and here’s why you shouldn’t pay to read this: just off the top of my head I would guess that at least half of the words in this story is just info dumping the main character or the summons’ or equipments’ info screens. like you scroll down the pretty short chapter and some of them are just made of 3 consecutive equipment info screens. what the fk? plus the author likes to copy and paste the entire last 1/5th of the previous chapter to “transition” into the next chapter. so you get maybe 2/5th of a chapter of “new content” and then another info screen to update you on the main character’s stats. absolute nonsense, i was literally zooming through the story from scrolling past those stat screens. read at your own risk.

excellent story but I dislike how it ended as a reader I need more to look forward to and a bit of actual closure to make me more eager to see the next bit of story. now I'm not saying the story is bad by any means with this I just feel the ending was a little weak.

Currently at chapter 31 and gotta say I love it. I love the fact that he uses elements from his other novels in this novel. If I had to nitpick one problem would be the name of the novel since it doesn't reflect the character 100% If read yoi about the first 30 chapters you would know what I mean. That matter aside Thank you very much for making these novels they really are very enjoyable to read.

I honestly started reading this novel because I read another piece of the author and it was really good. But suprisingly I can not put my daM phone down because I am addicted to this story. It is well writen, has a lot of funny but so god dam accurate references and is just a great read. The only thing that might be a little bit annoying is that there are spoilers of his other pieces but it also makes the story ao much better if you have already read them. I can only recommend this book.
