AUTHORS NOTE: UNEDITED CHAPTER.

"Isn't that the crystal Lord Antoine presented elena with during her recognition as the protector of souls?" Emiera pointed out.

The transparent crystal had a spherical shape. It was as big as a baseball. The moment it phased out of the storage ring, it began emitting a brilliant white light, a light that soon covered elena's body.

All four of them were surprised seeing the light from the crystal engulfed elena, with no other choice, they decided to wait it out and see what happens next, if anything the light didn't seem like it was hurting elena in any way.

So they all decided to camp there for the night. bringing out their tent equipment, they got to work, and a few minutes later, two giant tents had been erected.

zareth and aruh both shared a tent while Lydia, emiera, and elena shared the other. since they were in the territories of the undead, they wanted to stay together since that will guarantee a higher chance of survival.

Emiera and Lydia both had a worried look on their faces. it had been several hours now, and the crystal light had not dim for a moment. They were beginning to wonder how long it would take for the light of the Crystal to go out. For all they know, the light might just be another reason why an undead creature or beast will notice them.

In the other tent, Zareth had a giant eyeglass in his eyes. placed in front of him were several pieces of metals and equipment, in his hands, were strange looking tools he was using to work on the metal parts in front of him.

"What are you doing?" Aruh asked. "I'm trying to create a one-way teleporter, I've been working on it for a while now, and I believe luck was on my side since I had it in my storage device. perhaps I can finish it in no time before elena condition gets worse."

hearing zareth's explanation, Aruh decided to help him out whichever way he could so he could complete the teleportation device on time.

*************

Back in Zastlevania, all seven lords were present in the 3rd city. They were all sitting in a round table in Alacads private courth. each of the lords all had a guard present with them in the room. all the guards present all had a complete armour set equipped on them with the exception of the guard that stood behind Alacad.

He had a black cloak covering his head down to his feet. His face was covered with a black mask, strapped to his waist was a red sword that had a phoenix insignia crested on the cross guard of the sword.the eyes of the guard were pitch black, he smelled like death itself. Everyone present was wary of Alacad's guard, but no one said a thing about it.

"Welcome! Fellow Lords of Zastlevania. You're all here today because of the urgent news i received two days ago about the humans. apparently, humans have been conducting various experiments in secrets, exploring several planents in various galaxies. currently, they are on the zenox planent, and they're currently engaging the fraknorv." Alacad said.

Everyone present had a confused look on their faces. "If what you say is true, why haven't the warriors academy been notified since they are in charge of the mines in Planet zenox? and why wasn't I informed about this? how come you're the one telling us about all of this?" Lord Antoine asked Alacad.

"I'm not to blame for the academy's incompetence now, am I? as for you not being informed, do you intend to blame me for your incompetence also? " alacad snapped back nonchalantly.

[chatter, chatter]

Alcad response was like adding fuel to an existing fire. It was an unspoken rule that Lord Antoine and the academy were mainly in charge of zenox Planet. meddling into the fraknorv business was like declaring a cold war. Moreover for Alacad to get first-hand information while Antoine was still in the dark was a sign alacad was up to something.

"How dare you, Alacad?" Antoine roared at the top of his voice. He was angry. everyone had their territories to care for, the zenox planet and the fraknorv species weren't part of Alacad's business.

Before alacad could respond, they all heard the loud voice of the 7th Lord, Lord Harko Gendli. "Enough! Let's all get our priority right. A war against the zenox planet is like a war against the vampires. Some of our resources come from the fraknorv's, so we need to do something.

[chatter, chatter]

Lord Harko's words had sparked up different reactions. Now they were two sides, some obviously thought, fighting off the humans from the zenox planet was the best option, the others believed Alacad was responsible for whatever was going on. if anything, he seemed to be too relaxed about the whole situation.

Alacad, on the other hand, really wanted something else. "I believe we have more pressing issues in zastlevania that we ought to solve before we start thinking about the fraknorvs and their planet." said Lord Arathon.

"Issues like what exactly?" Harko asked. "I believe we are all aware of the recent events in the academy, I lost my heir, and I believe I'm not the only one. Surely, there are a lot of things at play here, and I strongly suggest we focus on ourselves first before thinking about the fraknorv." Lord Endrick of the 6th city responded.

[chatter, chatter]

"Let's settle this the old way, shall we?" Lord Harko asked. normally, when all lords sit together to discuss the state of the kingdom, they usually come to a final conclusion by casting votes.

since there are obviously two opinions right now, Harko wanted them to vote and get it over with. Harko Gendli, being the oldest vampire among the lords, would pass for a 35 years old man back on earth. He was slim and tall at a height of 6 ft5. Harko usually take the lead at meetings such like this, so naturally, they all would listen to him.

Harko continued. " Those in favour of going over to the zenox planet and helping out the fraknorv please raise your hands." Only two Lords raised up their hands, Alacad and Lord Harko.

"Those in support of Lord Endrick's suggestion, please raise your hands." Lord Antoine and Lord Endrick both raised up their hands.

"Surely, you all know you need to vote in order for us to move forward and decide what next to do." Harko stated.

"I fail to see how going to Planet zenox would help us, we have enough stone crystals that would last us for ten thousand years, we could wait for the humans to do whatever they like to the fraknorv and then kill the humans whenever we want. the humans are no threat to us. They are nothing more than just livestock. if anything, what we need right now is a king, one who will reign supreme. cause, obviously, some lords are doing a terrible job in protecting their subjects and overseeing their territories." Arathon, the 4th Lord said as he stared daggers at Lord Antoine. It was obvious he blamed Antoine for the death of his heir in the academy.

[chatter, chatter]

Impossible. a king? no, it's on heard off. the vampires have no king.

the room was in chaos. At this point, most of the vampires were speaking at the same time.alacad, on the other hand, had a pleasant smile on his face.

"The rule is the rule. Arathon had just said his opinion since we have three lords who are yet to vote, then the voting will proceed." harko stated. those in support of a new king, please indicate. Lord faron and Lord Arathon both raised up their hands.

Every single one of them present has voted except the second Lord, Lord Aiko. He was the second oldest vampire present. aiko had been mute since the beginning of the meeting. right now, all eyes were on him.

since all three opinions all had two votes each, whichever aiko decides to support would be what the vampires would settle for. Aiko was aware of this, and so did everyone else. Alacad, on the other hand, had a pleasant smile on his face. At the end of the day, whatever the vampires decide to do today, it will all end in his favour, or so he thought.

Lord Aiko, as you can see, your vote will be the deciding factor. so what will it be?
