Douluo Dalu: A New Beginning

On a secluded mountain north from Heaven Dou City, sounds of swords clashing along with the wailing of a baby were heard. The sound of battle eventually enveloped the area. The two people fighting flew in the sky so the landscape of the surrounding area wouldn't be damaged.

"Chen Xiao [1]. Stop fighting and give me your life already! You know it's pointless to go against God's will. You will eventually die, along with your wife and your newborn baby." A man wearing armor painted with gold and silver spoke loudly. His tone, clearly laced with humor.

The man with a flying sword floating on the opposite side of the man was wearing a simple but elegant white robe. He was holding a golden sword. He gave the impression of a swordmaster.

"Qian Xunji! You! Does Spirit Hall know of this?! Spirit Hall and the Divine Sword Clan [2] have been allied for hundreds of years now [3]! I am the heir of Divine Sword Clan! Fighting me is tantamount to challenging the Divine Sword Clan!" Chen Xiao spoke in an angered tone as he gripped his sword more tightly than ever.

Qian Xunji suddenly laughed,

"Ha— haha— hahahaha! Do you seriously think that the Divine Sword Clan is worthy enough to become allies with the mighty Spirit Hall?! Your clan is just the Spirit Hall's loyal servants!" Qian Xunji said in an arrogant tone.

"You!!! I swear! I will kil—"

"Stop. There's no point in continuing this conversation any longer. After all, you're just a dead man in front of my eyes." Qian Xunji cut Chen Xiao off before he can continue his words.

A huge illusory woman with 3 pairs of golden wings abruptly formed with Qian Xunji as the center. Yellow, Yellow, Purple, Purple, Black, Black, Black, Black, Black. 9 illusory rings appeared.

Chen Xiao was shocked by his ring configuration, nonetheless, he threw the sword he was holding as it had cracks on it and formed a new one. Yellow, Yellow, Purple, Purple, Black. 7 illusory rings appeared.

"Sword of Angel Light!"

A huge golden sword appeared in the hands of the illusory woman. The avatar swung its sword towards Chen Xiao's location swiftly.

Chen Xiao reacted quickly as he flew to dodge the sword of Qian Xunji. The sword, however, immediately caught up to him. He had no choice but to counter it with his Spirit.

"Divine Sword: Sky-splitting strike!"

Chen Xiao's sword also grew larger to match with Qian Xunji's. Both of the swords collided as shockwaves destroyed the surrounding land. Both of the swords were in a stalemate as they tried to look for an opportunity to break this stalemate and win.

Qian Xunji was shocked by the power generated by Chen Xiao's sword. A Spirit Saint with strength comparable to a Titled Douluo! His eyes gleamed as he thought,

'Truly worthy of being called the strongest sword spirit in the Douluo Continent! I see why Father wanted me to obliterate this clan even though we're in an alliance with them. If they managed to produce many outstanding people, perhaps, Spirit Hall will be in danger. However, even though it's strong, he still can't win against me! After all, I'm inevitable!'

"Now!" Qian Xunji suddenly shouted.

Two people suddenly launched themselves in the direction of Chen Xiao. Chen Xiao's face turned pale when he saw those two people. He tried to recall his sword back, but alas, Chrysanthemum Douluo's petals and Ghost Douluo's hand had already pierced his back by the time he recalled his sword back.

'Although I don't require the help of Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo to kill Chen Xiao, I still need to preserve my energy to hunt Tang Huo and that 100,000 thousand years spirit beast.'

Chen Xiao puked blood as his flying sword lost control and fell, bringing him along too.

"Chrysanthemum, Ghost. Go and kill Chen Xiao's wife and his newborn son." Qian Xunji turned to face the two as he relayed his instructions to them.

"Yes, Almighty Pope!" Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo bowed towards Qian Xunji before heading in the direction of the wife of Chen Xiao.

The newborn baby who was getting carried by an old lady opened his eyes slightly. The baby looked towards his front. Huge mountains covered the surrounding along with trees. His surroundings changed from time to time as it seemed that the old lady carrying him was running though he didn't know why.

'Strange, I have never left the house since I turned 14... Could this be a dream?' the baby closed its eyes as he thought deeply.

Just as the baby was about to form theories, an emotionless female voice suddenly spoke inside his head.

[System activated!]
